So ... Bungie did it again. We don’t know what it is. We do not know what it will unlock. An exotic weapon, a dungeon? Dunno.
Basically on Tuesday an unannounced quest was found that required exploring the Corridors of time.
On the hour, every hour, obelisks spread across the game’s worlds gave players a sequence of symbols. These symbols created a string of 7 symbols. it was believe there would be on 19 sequences. Each sequence of the 19 gave players a piece of lore.
At the end of each sequence of 7, you are brought to a room with a coffin of our own player’s grave. But wait, look at the floor... and you would see another sequence of images.
after combining and organizing these images so that they format into a magic hexagon ... a New map was discocovered. This time the string of rooms weNt from 7- 11.
Gladd and crew thought they did it. Nope! After completing that sequence an emblem and new symbols were found, another route, another layer to the puzzle.
it got crazier tho... each time players completed that 11 string run... everyone player kept getting unique codes. 3-man fireteam thru the mission, 3 unique codes. And... and ... it changes on the hour. Changes per class.
What this puzzle now requires ... is thousands of unique images. Basically they have to crowdsource data from as many players as possible. They’re at like 900 matches now. Players have been sending in their own results to help.
because of this.. the last two days have been spent in excel organizing data and codifying the symbols. Now an algorithm was created to help with the data collection.
this is where they’re at now...
those are images of each room and eventually they will all be connected outlying a path thru the maze.
Along with whisper of the worm, Zero Hour and the original outbreak prime quest... no game does secrets as incredible as Destiny. This puzzle is on the level of the original outbreak prime puzzle from D1... but without the math.
I don’t expect this to be solved until the weekend...
