Better description Monster walks upright until it runs across the room has four yellow eyes, four arms and two legs. Is brownish in color and stands taller than the main character until it runs across the room using all six limbs. Kind of insect like but very scary. The environment main character and monster all look real. Like not stylistic but photo realistic also I have never seen anyone use sub surface scattering to light a scene.

I don't know if Sony owns the IP, but they did publish the first game. It may have ultimately been up to them to decide if they wanted to take another chance on it.

The Order definitely has potential to be really great. The first game was gorgeous and had a great setting but left a lot to be desired in terms of structure. It felt on-rails and offered little reason to play through it a second time. If I recall correctly, I think I beat it in one sitting without even meaning to.

If the sequel adopts a more involving structure that adds replay value, it could be very good. Some extra world flavor and lore would be cool, too.
Sony owns the IP. They don't fund games that they don't own (usually, SFV/Spider-Man were exceptions).

Do so many own the ip out right though, or did they just fund it? Because there’s a big difference there, and it could still end up being like Mass Effect 1, where MS put a lot of money into the game but the sequels ended up on other platforms (and even the first did).

edit: a quick google search tells me both they do own the ip, and they don’t (Sony does). So that’s odd... but even then, they could have got it back, of Sony didn’t see value in it anymore.

The order 1887 meets human centipede

Man walks into a dimly lit room, light bleeds across the room from a shoulder mounted communication device. It is the most light in the scene. There is a light mist and sparks spew from a torn electrical wire tossing light and particles around as the man cautiously makes his way across the room. His boots leave prints as he walks across the polished floors the dim light showing his reflection in the floor. The wire behind him cracks and slows as it comes to a stop along with all of the other lights in the room shutting off at the same time. The man covers the device on his shoulder but the light bleeds through his hand. The man pulls a firearm and continues making his way through this large sterile room. A noise behind him and he turns around removing his hand from the device at his shoulder and revealing himself to everyone. The light illuminates the room and a table he had walked past has been knocked over. The table cloth is still slowly settling on the floor along with all of the other things from the table that have been strewn about. Off in the distance a pair of yellow eyes open and fix on the man. (You will know who he is but I cannot say) he raises his fire arm and fires off several shots. The flash from the gun illuminating the darkness as the creature reels then attacks. Another set of eyes opens as it runs across the room at him. You can see the impact of the weapon punching holes in this thing as it makes its way across the room. The man backpedals and falls down (Monster is right on top of him at this point) over something as he is trying to get away. He fires off a few more shots while on his back and scampers to his feet. The monster still chasing he makes his way into the next room and slams the door behind him. You hear a series of clicks and other weird noises coming through the door. The man leans up against it and you hear a deep inhalation come from the other side of the door like the creature is sniffing around for his scent. The man is breathing heavily and removes one hand from the door and clutches his side, blood is running down his side and his pant leg and pooling under the door. Last shot is the creature kneeling on the other side of the door putting one hand to the blood (creature has four arms) then smelling it. "I have found you." He almost sings the words then the title screen shows and that's it.

Lets see if anyone else can get this detailed. It is the best looking anything that I have ever seen and the character models lighting and physics are on another level. The main character is impossible to confuse with anyone else and this game has not been revealed but I have hinted at it several times. This is not a cut scene or a render target it is actual game play and it is very impressive. Well the end is a cut scene but man ..... You literally cannot tell the difference and Yes

This was definitely all one shot.

Edited to add: I was just given the go ahead to post this and it is from an early vertical slice that I did get to see.
And before anyone asks No I cannot describe what the man is wearing because it would be a dead giveaway.

Don’t confuse forums with the real world...

Precisely.

Discussions about gaming are a great deal healthier away from gaming forums. At work I have great discussions with gamers across platforms and PC.

There's just none of the childish foolishness of forums in those talks. We share each other's excitement and enthusiasm. And there's even great encouragement whenever anyone hears something good about someone else's favorite platform.

And there's honesty. For example, there are PS gamers who are actually concerned about Sony skipping E3 but not overly concerned about PS games going to other platforms.

Phil Spencer isn't lorded and TFlops hardly EVER come up. Lmao! Kind of makes you wonder if the lesser informed have a better gaming existence than the rest of us.

The order sequel?

Actually, Graphics and setting was great. Gameplay was lackluster until almost the end. When it was starting to get good, it ended. Quite a frustrating experience.

A lot of people shit on the game but like you said, the setting - imo one of the best this generation - and the characters were pretty good.
The problem is that they tried to make it more like a movie filled with QTEs. The bosses battles weren't exciting because of QTEs too.
You also couldn't skip cutscenes and the stealth section(s) were trash.

If they fix the problems with the first game and make the gameplay a bit more interesting I could see them making a great game.

I thought Days Gone 2, new type of Freaker, but must be way too early for that.

If one of us guessed correctly you probably couldn't confirm anyway right? :messenger_grinning:

Movement was insect-like. Nonhuman.

Edit: Actually unclear.

You were right insect like not human.

OsirisBlack OsirisBlack , have we seen this creature before in the IP you are referring to, or is it a new creature never seen before in this IP?
Was asked to pull the picture.

This might be a stretch, but for the sake of broadening our scope, could it also be... Dead Space? It has multi-limbed creatures and a main male character with a very recognizable design.
shoulder mounted communication device was in The Order 1886. Dead Space had front projecting coms. Also EA is unlikely to bring Dead Space back this soon.

I really think It's the order 1887 or whatever they're calling it. They must have some kind of new monster and part of the new story, that's the only thing that makes sense.

Clues you gave:

- Monster is brownish
- They have yellow eyes in the dark
- They were also huge and bigger than galahad in the first game
- order had realistic like environments too (still some of the best graphics this gen)
- communication device in the shoulder (this is a dead giveway)

Unless I'm missing some other franchise I don't see what could it be other than the order.

You also hinted in the past at something ready at dawn related.

So yup, expanded bestiary.

I am not asking for a pic, just want to know if we've seen a creature like this in the IP you're referring to.

The description by OsirisBlack OsirisBlack sounds very similar to the trailer shown in small parts here, which sadly I can't find in full except for this. However, this video includes commentary from Ready At Dawn where they describe similar things..
(continous no-cuts, galahad walking backwards while shooting the creature, yellow glowing eyes)

If anyone can find the trailer proper, that would be great.

Seems PlayStation France had a small slip up, DS5 works on PS4 (they removed it now).

PS5 will have exclusive games but honestly it looks like MS line up will be very good or even better initially. Some late gen PS4 games will be counted as launch titles (I don't like it but it is what I am hearing) But there will be some PS5 games that are true exclusives and cannot be played on PS4.

Do you know if one of the PS5-only launch titles happens to be from a well known racing IP? :p

Consoles will be a thing for a few more generations for one reason - convenience. It's easier to spend X amount, place the device under your television, and play the latest games on it for 5+ years.

Streaming will (eventually) got to a point where it's easier to just start the Xbox/Playstation/Nintendo app on your connected TV and pick up a controller. Obviously we're moving in that direction but it has a while to go.

For what it's worth, I also think the winds are moving in the direction of PC. However I think it's going to be a much slower transition than what you're suggesting.
I agree with everything you said except the last part. It's never moving in the direction of PC. Consoles are a thing because of convenience like you said. So what's better than convenience? More convenience. And that is definitely not PC. Not in a million years.

What is more convenient is an app on your phone, TV, tablet or whatever device you already own, and simply stream to it without having to buy anything extra or setup any settings. Or maybe a tiny device that connects to your TV to stream games. Any less convenience and it's a console.

People won't just drop everything and suddenly think PCs are more convenient. It never was and never will. Or else consoles would've never existed not succeeded and died a painful death in the 80s.

Yellow-eyed creatures makes me think of Resistance.

yes (sort of just this one is Ancient) but its not the creature in the video you all have been posting, it carries a curse that you can be AFFLICTED with.
Osiris from the tone of your previous posts is it safe to assume MS will have more 3rd party times exclusive for xsx compared to ps5 launch?
