maybe it is an spiritual sucessor like Dark Souls was to Demons Souls. that's the only way to come to xbox.

anyway, exclusive to ps5 or not, I hope RaD has another big title like the order coming.

Read it again.

"In the case of The Order, the developer wanted ownership of the IP but at that time, it wasn’t possible, according to Sams. "

That was 5 years ago man, a lot can change in 5 years.
Master of spins kkkkkkkk
You never learn.

I thought you were avoiding me with your lies.

It has nothing to do with spin, you don't use any logic.

I asked you how you know that RAD doesn't currently own the IP and you post an article from 5 years ago that says "at the time it wasn't possible" in relation to them retaining ownership to which I say "A lot can change in 5 years", and somehow I'm spinning something?

You rarely make a lick of sense, jesus.

Logic? C’mon spinner.

The guy uses at the time because the interview was made after they broke up with Sony and they didn’t get the IP even they wanting to.

Show your dream theory how RAD brought the IP from Sony... I’m waiting.

I genuinely hope, with all my heart, that neither Sony nor Microsoft is in a position where either one of them thinks a sequel to the second most bland game of all time would be a valuable addition to their portfolio.

Again, that was 5 years ago and the source you posted specifically denoted "at the time", and a lot can happen in 5 years. Sony could have sold them the IP after a period of evaluation and no interest in doing anything with it, we have no idea.

Proof? You can’t because Sony owns the IP.

Yup. A lot can charge in five years.

I'd personally love to see a sequel. 1886 was great despite its flaws. Screw the haters.

Too many rumors and speculation in the face of new systems. At this point I dont even care when everyone is crawling out of the woodwork with some bit of so called "information" then no one is credible when everyone is doing it.

Pretty much once it becomes official then I'll take notice. Until then all this stuff means to me as much as if if some bum says jesus came to him and said something to him in esperanto.

You don't know that, what's is your deal man?

is it that easy to deny facts now?
What fact? The only information we have is from 2015, implying as if something couldn't change in that period of 1,825 days after that article was written.

Based on the first one they should have pitched it to Netflix instead since they clearly want to make movies/Tv shows.

If I have to guess that is what happened..:

- RAD made a contract with Sony to develop a game in x years.
- Due RAD inexperience they couldn’t delivery the game in the time.
- Sony allowed them to work more x months in the game.
- RAD couldn’t finish the game in that addictions time.
- Sony forced them to finish the game at date A.
- RAD delivered a demo instead a game.
- Sony and RAD broke relations.

In resume the project was too big for a company like RAD and they could only do a half-backer game that feels so incomplete that I can understand how Sony broke up with them.

The game played like a industrial age gears of war if I remember correctly with lots of cut scenes and QTE events. It had a very cool setting that would be very amendable to a game, but I doubt it would be the similar ie slow moving cover based corridor shooter, the mechanics felt old when it arrived only the art direction and setting kept it from being a total failure.

The only way another The Order should be revealed is with a long uncut gameplay segment that shows how they learned from their mistakes and are putting more emphasis on playing the game instead of watching barely interactable cutscenes.

If Sony use this as a big reveal and it looks like more of the same with better graphics I think it will land with a dud.

If you look at RAD's game history

Ports and remasters = good reviews

They do their own thing or get freedom to do a normal game = crap reviews

Oculus VR games = good reviews

Do you guys really want another 1886 game?

If The Order wanted to be a success it would have to adopt Gears of War pacing more or less as they both kind of target the same genre and gameplay type. It can still be heavy in dialog and cutscenes but there needs to be a lot of extended gameplay to compliment all of those story sequences.

That's probably part of it, yeah.

Though I think overall they just missed the point about cinematic gameplay. It's supposed to be about feeling like you are playing a movie....not watching one
