Enzo claimed in an interview that he got offered $25,000 by GCW for a match with Tama Tonga at Josh Barnet’s Bloodsport 3 event. GCW have announced they made no such offer and have no interest in working with him.

AEW have managed to work those shitty punches thrown by the Dark Order goon into the storyline. I’m still not a fan of the Dark Order storyline in general but it’s kinda clever how they have rolled with it

AEW is honestly disappointing. Not going into detail... but I’ve been involved in the east coast indie scene for about 5 years. I know a lot of these talents, etc... It’s a glorified indie show that’s no different from the weekly Queens Blvd Elks Lodge shows (same fucking wrestlers anyway). I honestly prefer NWA Power.

But Janella being 5’4” and looking like complete shit physically (and a shit wrestler/worthless drunkard), along with most of the roster... it’s embarrassing and further delegitimizes the business... and the wrestling is indie level sloppy compared to the masterclass performance of that NXT tag match. Was happy to see Priscilla Kelly make her debut tho. She’s a star and deserves to be on a better roster.

NXT is far, far superior and it’s really not even a debate.

Kenny Omega fucked up massively by turning down the WWE. Idiot!

I see that AAW is coming back to Chicago! Was gonna get tickets, then I noticed that ACH was in the card. I thought he quit wrestling after his meltdown in MLW?

I’ve not been keeping up to date with him recently but he seemed to be going through some mental health issues around the time he left WWE. Hopefully he’s doing better now.

Well, he signed with MLW afterwards, then abruptly "quit wrestling" and blamed it on the fans, and stating that the business is full of snakes and racist. The guy seems to keep making excuses to get off contracts.

Yeh, I meant his mental health issues could have been the reason he was acting so erratically with both WWE and MLW. And maybe he’s getting things back on track now.

In some respects, I agree. AEW’s roster is top heavy but the depth just isn’t there. i do think that AEW feels much fresher creatively than either WWE or NXT. I think that they’re currently being propped up by Jericho’s greatness a bit though...without his segments I think AEW would be getting shit on much more.

I don’t agree that Kenny Omega fucked up though. I seriously doubt he would go to NXT and aside from AJ, almost every star who made their name elsewhere has gotten shafted by Vince on the main roster. Kenny will be AEW champ soon enough and I like the story they are telling with him and Hangman, I don’t mind the slow burn.

WWE's strategy of buying up all the indy talent in recent years is paying off. AEW's roster is painfully small. I feel like I'm seeing the same 12 guys every week. They really need to strike up working relationships with other promotions.

Looks like statements of Vince being disrespectful to the late Rocky Johnson a front of the Rock's family were completely untrue. Same for Pat Patterson, but what was true is that Pat's mic was indeed cutoff due to his usage of foul language inside the Church.

Brock is not winning the Rumble. I have a feeling he isn't lasting very long. Wouldn't surprise me if someone like Cain was number 2 and Brock bowed out early.

I highly doubt Brock will spend 60+ mins in the rumble. He will do his Brock thing and keep it short and sweet.

They've been doing a lot of different things to try to make him semi-likable. Everything the WWE does with Brock seems to be about statistically making him the biggest, baddest, whatever you call it. He's getting hyped right now to do what several other superstars already have because he has to have that equal-or-better level of success. I used to think John Cena was the worst thing to ever happen to the WWE, now I call that Brock.

The main reason I see him winning is because they have nothing else to do with him nor any other intelligent angle to push instead of him. He's become Vince's safe choice and I don't know what can change that with them willing to pivot back to Brock the moment ratings dip.

I can see that, but I just don't see Brock working 60+ minutes. I think this is a swerve to set up his WM opponent. At most I can see him lasting till number 10 or 15.

I think the Big Dog is taking this one and punching his ticket to take the belt off the Feind at WM.

Uncle Cornette, is that you? lol

I don't watch either, but I looked at them both a few times. I agree that AEW seems indy-ish. It desperately needs a mid-card title so they can grow the talent. Especially since they only have maybe 3 people I could take seriously as World Champion at the moment. And I don't think Omega fucked up by not taking the WWE deal. WWE is so strong in making people forgettable. And it is a real possibility he could go there and end up like EC3. In spite of all of this, it still isn't Impact Wrestling bad, lulz!

I'm maybe missing something since I don't watch everything NXT does but why DIY are teaming up again? How come Gargano and Ciampa are back on good terms?

Chris Jericho’s cameo as a KKk leader in that newest Jay and Silent Bob movie ... just made me pee myself. Like... what the fuck!?

Well, if you watch NXT or set in record, you'll see why. They were challenged by Moustache Moutain for Worlds Collide. And they made it one of the best tag team matches of the night.

I saw the bit with them talking about the challenge. But why are they on good enough terms with each other to consider teaming together? What changed between them having a blood feud and now?

Wow, that Worlds Collide was legit Takeover quality. DIY/Moustache Mtn, Imperium/UE and the Cruiserweight title match were all incredible.
I'm not sure why I went into it with low expectations considering the consistent output of both NXT brands, but I thought it was an incredibly fun show.

Well the last couple of “Worlds Collide” things they’ve done on the network have been kinda nothing and they didn’t really hype it up all that much except for the couple of Undisputed Era and Imperium crossover brawls.

I went in with low expectations too, didn’t even watch it live, but man...that is probably gonna be better than the Rumble tomorrow.

WC was awesome. Shows the strength of the NXT brands roster. Cant believe we actually got UE vs Imperium. When Imperium were formed everyone wanted it but the logistics seemed impossible.

The main event made me think how much ROH fd up. All of UE were ROH guys and i could easily see WALTER in ROH. Instead they spend money on Tavern and Marty and let Bubba book.

Quick WC review

Pre Show, didn't catch it so no comment.

Balor vs Draganov. Good solid match. Draganov has tons of potential and should become a name on NXT UK, and eventually NXT US. Once the full sail crowd gets a hold of him they will help him get more over. Good work and Draganov looked good and Balor was Balor.

Cruiserweight match. Excellent fun with some great unique spots. Garza's pants may be the most over thing of the night. Swerve possible move of the night on Banks in the corner. Glad to see Devlin pick up the win and gotta love his Devilinside finishing move. Right choice to put the CW title on a UK guy. NXT UK could use a second male title since US has the NA title.

DIY vs MM. Amazing. Dream match we never knew we wanted. Amazing opening stretch with all the playing to the crowd, and then the match kicked into over drive. Gotta love the BurningHAM hammer LOL. Its hard to say if there are any better than these 4. Just so many smart little details. I really enjoyed the story of the match that DIY was using MM against each other, like when Ciampa pulled Trent onto him to block the spiral tap, or throwing Sevens chop at Bate. The pinfall sequence where Gargano kicked Bate into a pinning move was just superb. This is a match with great spots, but the spots made sense in the story and showed an incredible attention to detail and ring IQ.

Rhea vs Toni. Sorry zoned out. I should like Storm but I just can't get into her. At least her butt is THICCCCC. From what I skimmed threw it was decent but the results were never in doubt. I am more inerested in Rhea vs Belair and I think Toni needs a little bit of a character tweek. I would bring her to NXT US or even main roster and let her grow her character.

UE vs Imperium. Still can't believe this happened. When Imperium first formed it was a dream to see this match but WC didn't exist and no one thought 2 heel teams would go at it. But we dreamt of a war games match or something. Well we got an amazing 4 man tag. WALTER was over, that he turned Imperium face against UE. Sucks Wolfe got injured but it actually played better into the match with the 4 v 3 angle. Roddy as Nigel said isn't human. He is a machine. Everyone got to shine and WALTER picked up the big victory.

Another highlight was the GYV and Broserweight interviews. Zack Gibson is just great on the mic as a heel. I like Drakes gimmick of just repeating what Zack says and never talking. And then Riddle and Dunn cut what may have been their best promos in the WWE. GYV need to be on NXT US ASAP and Zack Gibson has all the potential in the world. Riddle/Dunne will probably win and take the titles from UE, but GYV deserve it too. Could see some sort of 3 way probably.

Really thought this would be all NXT US, but good to see that UK got some wins, and like how at SS NXT was put over, UK got the rub from this event. Great event and this really raised NXT UK's stock in my mind. This and the Dusty Classic really shows how deep the NXT universe's roster is with both brands.

Now onto the Rumble!

Everyone ready for the BIG DAWG to win the Rumble. Vintage Roman Reigns!

Big shock of the night, while 2 of em, EDGE shows up, and then JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHN CENA makes an apperance.

Well Cena probably not, but I think we see Edge tonight as rumors have been swirling that he will make a return and I can see him setting up a WM and or Saudi pay day.

Keith Lee should win the Rumble, but they will tease us and in the end Roman will win it. Which will lead to the most uninteresting and underwhelming WM match of Reigns v Feind.

Lesnar will not last long in the Rumble. I have a few spots I think they can work. Either number 2 is Cain and they take each other out, or Cain shows up around number 10 after the ring is cleared. I can also see maybe Tyson Fury showing up and setting up a Fury/Lesnar match for Saudi. What I would like to see is Lesnar as 1 and WALTER as 2 and them wrecking fools for a bit. Hopefully we get a Lee v Lesnar face off.

Shayna is the fav to take the womens, so I will go against the grain and say Charlotte wins it since she is the only women being built up for the Rumble. The Womens rumble will have more legends and NXT talent than the mens one which IMO will have less than 10 NXT guys, maybe 4-5 at most.

They need to get Big E out of the new day. He’s money.

Kofi’s title run was HORRIBLE.

I kinda want to see Brock win the rumble to be honest. Then again... I don’t think Brock should’ve ever lost the title ever and just gone undefeated. He is the standard. He’s legitimate. Whatever.

Hoping Asuka dethrones Becky tonight too. Asuka is just amazing.

Fun fact... one of my first wrestling shows... we were doing a double header with Evolve at La Boom in queens. It was Gargano’s last Evolve match... he left his vest in the ring that night. Anyway, I spent that entire night sitting and drinking with riddle picking his brain. He came out to train us for a few weeks for free as well. And yes ... we burned. Awesome dude. Always has been. Hoping he makes his appearance. Great fucking guy.

Its going to be a divisive Royal Rumble, but it told a great story. The Brock pay off with Drew, Edge's return, and then Drew finally winning. I think it will go down as either one of the best or one of the most hated.

I thought the Rumble itself was great but the PPV overall was still pretty awful.

Pretty surprised that Drew won, I thought Edge was gonna take it since Drew kinda already had the Brock feud setup.

I missed the Reigns match. Thought the womens RR was pretty good even with Flair winning. Got bored up until the last few minutes of Feind/Daniel. Becky/Asuka was pretty good and I thought the mens Rumble was one of the best.

Basically to me the 2 RR's saved the show, and the matches were really just pretty throwaway.
