Yes drivers seat. Sony has been in the drivers seat since halfway into last Gen. Killing in sales, software and Microsoft trying to mimic its messaging and moves to get some type of foothold. Their gaming division makes nowhere near as much money as Sony's, hardware sales are like one to three lol yes drivers seat. But it's good thy get inspiration from one of the pioneers in this.

-Sony already released PC games in the past, now did allow 3rd party studios like ThatGameCompany, Kojima or Quantic Dream to release their games elsewhere and seems that the licensed IP will go multi because they may not. Other than that "rumors" of Horizon, Dreams and TLOU2 going to PC aren't credible unless they are talking about playing them in PS Now.It’s going To be another disappointment by Sony. Can’t wait.

-Sony already did BC on PS2, PS3, PSP and Vita. PS4 didn't have it because PS3 had alien software too different and difficult to emulate. So Sony did it before.
-Sony also did before many things that MS is copied like Remote Play, Cross Play, Cross Save or Cross Buy, game streaming subscription -or even previous cases like camera controlled games- and even things that MS still didn't support like VR. It's normal that they copy cool things from the competition when makes sense.

Sony Hall is way too small for the PS5 Reveal. Last time it was held in the Hammerstein Ballroom, which holds over four times the capacity of Sony Hall. Most likely will he held there again you would think.

Ps5 wire article comes out people saying that in the next week there going to announce a PSX in DEC 2019 conference: Didn't happen.

People said that the ps5 reveal was going to be tied into the FF7R demo that was suppose to out on the 31st of DEC 2019: Didnt happen.
People said we were going to get a showing of the ps5 in the 1st 2 weeks of january Didn't happen.
People said that the ps5 was going to be shown at CES or annouce the upcoming conference for it: didn't happen.

- Sony published games on PC before (so did MS). We are not sure of the extent and the form the policy will take - will it ever be widespread?

If we want to play this game
- Sony released a console, sell over 100 million of them - MS sees the potential and decide they want to do the same the very next generation
- Sony released the PS4 without brain dead DRM policy - MS is forced to scramble to modify their DRM system that they apparently could not modify
- Sony release a controller with dual analog stick - MS does the same years later
- Sony release the PS Eye - MS release the Kinect a couple of years later
- Sony has a streaming service - MS creates their own a couple of years later
- Sony offers a console with a single bank of high speed memory - lo and behold MS upgrade their console in the very same generation with the same architecture! (instead of using a slow bank with a highspeed/low latency buffer
I hate list wars because they are meaningless and give little to no relevant information in the grand scheme of things, I really don't care about any of the points I brought up - they are about as intelligent as 99.99% of top 10 videos on youtube.

I'm not even sure of that. PS2 started cross play, PS3 had lots of cross play titles and PS4 didn't stop that but continue that, titles like DC Universe, War Thunder, FFXIV etc all have cross play. So not only did Sony do this first out of the 3, they have done it longer as I don't believe any time in the companies history after they started, they actually stopped. So I don't get this notion that they "stopped" because to my understanding, you never at any point were stopped from playing with PC players on PS4 from lets say SFV or FFXIV or something.

It will be interesting if the ps5 is 8 teraflops as that quite a lot less than the xbox series ☓. I'd like to know more of what the xbox can do with the extra power than what the ps5 will be able to do = 4k@60&30fps as standard just like ps4 was 1080p@60&30fps for the absolute majority

lol.. up until a few days ago I was reading all types of “leaks/rumors” because I just wanted more info on the PS5. Now I’m tired of all the “leaks/rumors” and just want preorders to go up so I can reserve a day one console.
Sony’s continual silence on the reveal date is slowly sucking all the hype out of me.
