I like it in street fighter 4 since it's basically a weapon there. Same with Chun-Li's thighs. It could work depending on the complete style.
lol yeah haha. imagine if chun li kicked you in the face with her big feet. that would hurt lol.

I didn't want to talk about what happened with the nurse, because honestly, I'd rather still consider myself a virgin after what she did to me. It's a sore spot for me.

My wife and I picked up the first season of JoJo on blu ray and absolutely loved it so we're going to watch them all. We're almost at the end of season 2.

Nobody has time to read all that shit, and the dub is pretty funny nonetheless.
JoJo Part 3 is my favorite. Before you know it, you've watched every episode of Stardust Crusaders; it goes by like that. Enjoy it bro

Can i get some love for The Tatami Galaxy? My favourite, hands down.

There's QUITE a few anime from the 2010's I need to get to, it didn't help I barely watched anything for several years of that decade as I just wasn't feeling like watching stuff for a while, but of those I have seen Tatami Galaxy is my favorite anime of the decade. I love Steins Gate, Land of the Lustrous, Madoka Magica, Kill la Kill, SSSS Gridman, etc. but TG is my favorite of what I've seen so far.

If you've not seen it, also check out The Night is Short, Walk on Girl by the same director. It's the same visual style and character designs (in fact, quite a few characters are pretty much designed to look exactly like various TG characters) but follows a girl and guy on a single but VERY eventful night as they explore a very crazy side of Japan at night. I didn't love it quite as much as TG, but it's still a great film.

Was this the weirdest thing that happened last year?

The weirdest thing to happen in the anime world last year is the part where a dude murdered most of KyoAni in a fire because they indirectly messed with his trainspotting locations.

That wasn't weird it was mass murder.

The shield girl anime is currently 4 EPs in and is already better than Log Horizon since I still haven't fallen asleep.

The guy who wrote the LN has never played a videogame in his life that's for sure.
The idea you just buy a bunch of potions, and let yourself get poisoned so you gain poison immunity is so ridiculous. And then the idea that nobody else before her has thought of this shit. There'd be a wiki with all the ways you can cheese the game, like day 1.
The show has really good animation though which was pretty surprising.

The people defending this since the manga was first scanned have said this in it's defense

1. It is a new game/beta.
2. People are retarded.
3. People playing this aren't true gamer girls like Shield's generic energetic friend.
4. Fuck your shit! Fun things are fun!

But it just comes off as lazy writing which is the case in most of these VRMMORPG anime so people aren't really focusing on such glaring oversights. Such as the FF2 take on MMOs being only done by one person as you've said. Who knows though the number 1 generic blonde dude most likely is doing the same in the extremely easily abusable game 2 high schoolers are making their bitch.

Yeah you wouldn't think so after watching her "devour" people in the beginning but it shows when she takes on bosses. The totally not Articuno fight was actually decent for example.

The fight against the bird boss in Shield Girl was pure bullshit.

I saw you're swipe at Log Horizon earlier, but I was just going to mention how Mamare Touno actually does play video games incontrast to the nonsensical shit happening in Shield Girl, and it shows in his work. Tuono even used to come to English sites to chat about LH and Video Games lol.

It was fun though unlike Log Horizon though. Plus now they have Pokemons.

I gotta wonder why he made Log Horizon so bland and maybe I find it bland since I myself don't play MMOs.

>when you're reading a mango and there's a million untranslated things and a bunch of translation notes equivalent to 'keikaku means plan'
Might as well learn moon runes than read this retarded shit.

Damn, if it goes through with it Kingdom is about to jump the shark really badly
You mean if
Kyoukai dies to save Shin? That would be disastrous. Aside from Shin and Ei Sei, she is the one character that must NOT die before the series ends. Not only she is highly popular but in-universe the Hi Shin Unit would be severely nerfed and Shin would lose a rival and precious ally. I hope Hara is just stirring drama to maximize suspense.

Edit: the last two chapters of MHA are excellent. I love the quick escalation of events and the scope of the conflict. This has the potential to become one of the best arcs if handled properly. I like that bunny character a lot.

Yeah,

her dying would be the worst possible outcome. But to be honest even if she doesn't die, Shin being revived using magic would still feel like jumping the shark to me. It's not like this has ever been a realistic manga but over the top action and super human martial skills is one thing..... straight up bringing people back from the dead using magic is on a whole different tier.

I don't think she'll die though, as much as I like Kingdom it's shonen enough that I expect something like the whole Hi Shin unit somehow connecting and giving a tiny piece of their lives to revive him or something like that. But the only outcome to this that I wouldn't dislike is if Kyoukai wakes up having to accept it's not possible to revive people after all, and some other character arrives and is like "wait he is still alive, let me perform first aid or something"

Also yeah, not the biggest fan of MHA myself but these past few chapters (and this arc as a whole) have been great

I would, if I didn't first have to learn like 2000 letters to be semi-fluent.

Already learned hira/kata, but after that it's like climbing mount Everest.

Have any sleeper hits emerged yet this season? My viewing queue for new things has been kinda... empty

I'm excited to watch Eizouken and heard that it's good, but haven't started yet. It's a Masaaki Yuasa helmed project.

So I'm on the last few episodes of Re:Zero. Brilliant show. It starts off comical and retains that but also gets really dark and dramatic at times. I knew nothing going in other than that it was well regarded. Also twin maids... Speaking of which why doesn't Subaru go for the blue-haired one. Rem I belive. She's great. Stands by him no matter what even when he's being a dick.

Men of Culture EP05 Black Sails Edition

I loved their reactions when they discovered the receptionist wasn't talking about bra sizes.

Also, why did I suddenly get a hankering for some stir-fried oyster mushrooms?

So despite hearing it was worth my time, I had always put off watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica because, well, it was a magical girl anime. It'd be akin to me watching Sailor Moon, or so I thought. I put on the first episode last night before bed and ended up staying up until around 1AM watching the first 5 eps.

What a surprisingly great anime. The character art took a while to get used to, but I'm glued to the story. I plan on binging the rest after work tonight. Are the movies worth it too?

Hey now. What's wrong with Ergo Proxy? I like that show a lot lol
It does that thing EVA does. It thinks it is deep to the point it is insulting and I can't take the story or characters seriously. Not to mention how repetitive it felt for the most part. But what really killed it for me was that I was bored watching it. I don't even remember how it ended or the main girls name now that I think about it.

I see. Not going to argue it. It's all subjective. I enjoyed it a lot. I was rewatching it just a few months ago. I think it's visually really impressive(when the a team animators are on it) It's not particuallry deep but it tries I guess? lol. I found it good enough script-wise. Idk. I think it hit at a good time for me as well. I watched it as it came out and it felt "deep and mysterious" at the time. It reminds me a little bit of Rahxephon in that respect. Another show I love.
