It hasn't quite been 24 hours since I mentioned how I think Animal Crossing sucks, but YOLO.

I don't get the appeal of the series. The DS version literally cured my insomnia

But fans of Animal Crossing are kind of like furries, in that if a second goes by without them thinking about wanting to slut it up in a village filled with animals, they will literally die.

I really don’t get the love Animal Crossing gets, it’s one of the most boring games I’ve ever tried to play.

I don't get the appeal of it myself. It practically put me to sleep everytime I've tried.

That’s basically how I feel about every turn based JRPG as well. But people like those games and animal crossing is one of those games that we may not understand why people like it but people like games for different reasons (I’m not an animal crossing fan either but the point is not everyone likes the same type of game)

different tastes

True, but you rarely see JRPG fans as an example get defensive and on the verge of tears whenever they read that someone doesn't get the appeal.

So with the announcement of the W101 port, the number of worthwhile Wii U exclusives that have not come to Switch has dwindled even further. Here's what I can see that is left:

Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
Pikmin 3
Super Mario 3D World
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Yoshi's Woolly World

I'm betting BOTW2 is a 2021 game and we see the two Zelda titles release this year. I think SM3DW is a no brainer at some point, same with Xenoblade.

Has anyone tried the last SR game for the Switch? Last I heard it was a OK port but suffered from performance issues and didn’t look that great.
Totally forgot about the game but I see the Switch is getting another game in this series.

There are so many ways to play SR4. It's perpetually like $5 on Steam sales and I'm sure used copies for the other systems are cheap.

You’re just mad that Tom Nook is twice the man you are.

Must've been some backlash to Outer Worlds code in a box bullshit for them to retract it and put the game on a cart. Good news either way.

There are cheats for the game?
Any place I can look at them and try them out?

cheat codes you enter in your cell phone

most of these are game breaking of course, but when the graphics are so old I play for the laughs and cheese facter great fun

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD & Super Mario 3D World are the only two Wii U games I have not picked up that have not been ported over to the Switch. I beat Super Mario 3D World when it came out, so I have little to encourage a purchase. I've been watching the Game Grumps play Twilight Princess and that is all the entertainment I need for that Zelda game.

Twilight Princess HD is kinda rough man, I love the series but the HD port is visually kinda ugly in some areas, especially compared to WW.

The dungeons are good but everything else is kinda, meh. The game kind of drags and it experiments with lots of different gameplay elements that just feel clunky today. There's a weird on rails flying segment, riding Epona feels like I'm controlling a tank, swimming is clunky and kind of sucks. Hyrule Field is somehow more barren then OoT despite it leaping a gen. There are very few sidequests in Hyrule castle town comparative to other 3D Zeldas.

I feel like WW (especially the QoL improvements in the HD version and visual upgrade) are good enough to overcome any shortcomings with the game. Where TP is all over the place and it's highs are not good enough to overcome it's lows.

It's a shame that Nintendo never truly gave Kid Icarus a shot at being like a Metroid or Zelda series. A Uprising sequel with better controls and more levels would still be pretty unique in gaming today.
Yea , I still have the extra Thumbstick controller add on from the OG 3DS I think it was called the circle pad pro that tried helping with the controls but didn’t really do much.
Still a great game.

I thought for sure that it would be their new big series, after playing through it on the 3DS. Something Sakurai could do alongside Smash, like how it used to be with Kirby.

It was pretty surprising when Sakurai said he wasn’t interested in that, and thought it’d be appropriate if someone made the sequel in 25 years or so.

I guess I kind of see it, though. It was basically something like three games in one, with how the story kept expanding and becoming even crazier, and basically every single possible idea stuffed into the game.

A visual remake with gyro controls could be wonderful, however. Give us a little something to keep us going until 2037. 😋

Dumb question but thought I'd ask since this is a Nintendo thread. But can you still get Switch games for $50 at wal-mart in person?

No clue but I'd imagine one will come soon, probably before Animal Crossing launches so they can give it a final marketing push.

Corrected.

Bar the awful situation where you can't even transfer your save to a new console, we know nothing about this game apart from "crafting" and "looks nice".

They've been so tight-lipped about this game that I'm starting to think it might not be all that.
