IGN: Games of the Decade (923,000 Fan Vote)

AV

We ain't outta here in ten minutes, we won't need no rocket to fly through space
An AI could have come up with that list, they genuinely needn't have even had a poll.

Here are the winners you might want to add to your OP. I trust this list way more then metracritc which gave Mario odyssey a 97. As a open world game GTAV is much then zelda or witcher 3.

5. Red Dead Redemption 2 (92,391)

4. The Last of Us (147,826)

3. Zelda Breath of the Wild (157,065)

2. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (230,978)

1. Grand Theft Auto 5 (295,651)

No Dark Souls cause this world is full of casul scrubs who never made it past the two Gargoyles.

I disagree with all 5 listed.
People need to go deep on games, leave the surface.

Of course the majority who voted are casuals, so the top 5 is mainstream games.

All the games are pretty deep.
I mean, combat in almost all of the games in that list is subpar, and i'm being gentle.
Gta5 and rdr2 have shit aim and cover system and input lag (less on pc obviously) and you are almost forced to use the shitty autoaim becaude the game is balanced with that in mind, zelda melee combat is the most basic shit ever, combat in witcher 3 is mediocre at best and even if you have signs and potions and stuff, even at the hardest difficulty powered-up queen is almost all you need to fuck people up...and tlou at the end is a realistic tps without a huge deep combat...

They are not exactly the pinnacle of GAMEPLAY in VIDEOGAMES.

They are lucky because some other aspect are great in these games, gameplay tho? Nah...

P.s. and i love 3 games out 5 in that list, not really an hater of mainstream games.

Pretty much what i thought, it's an accurate top 5 if you look at reviews, sales, gamers reception.

I totally respect that list. I havent played breath of the wild but I know how much people love it. I would find it hard to counter GTA 5 being the game of the decade. It isnt my personal favorite but I can certainly give the nod to it.

GTA V for me at least the main cast have a horrible personality... How can I say it?... Odiosos? Heavy blood?... When you dont like the personality of the characters.

Cry cry cry. Complain complain complain.

Just because your favorite game isn't most people's cup of tea. Do y'all ever get tired of dogging someone else's favorite game?

It's about fun. GTA is fun. BotW is fun. Bloodbourne is not fun for everyone. There are lots of games that aren't fun for everyone, but apparently anyone can jump into GTA and BotW and have fun!

Mmm I understand...its been a cinematic decade. It makes me kinda sad. I still enjoy more arcadey games, but the thing that gets the best reviews now is the cinematic presentation so I cant blame devs for going for that market.

I agree with the list, but I'm not happy.

A fair list, I’m glad BotW is on there.

Sad that Xbox let me down but it’s a true reflection of their output.
I need to give Witcher a go on Gamepass!

Maybe one day I’ll borrow a Playstation and give that zombie game a go.

If you mean LoU, just watch it on YT. Gameplay wise it’s pretty meh. Or maybe you mean Days Gone.

Guess you missed the part that said it's an IGN poll ?

Each one of those games is critically acclaimed and loved by most gamers. Each one of the has sold over 15 million. Games that challenge the player to get better just dont have the same appeal.

I have two issues with the Top 5:

1. There should be From Software games on the list.
2. There should not be non-From Software games on the list.

Fromsoftware easily makes the best games, but from a average gamer perspective they are very hard to get into. I bought dark souls on ps3 played for 30 minutes, and said this game looks like shit and was janky, and kept getting killed, never played the game again. Then I tried bloodborne got clerk beast and got owned I like was wtf I have start over the level and have no blood vials didnt play again for a year then I kept on hearing how great it is, and went back to it and fell in love with fromsoft after but a new player getting into there games it's not easy because god damn was it hard.

Judging by your name, they're hard to spell too.
