Yeah I know I’m about to take some flack for this, but...

I REALLY hate people that toot their own horn. I don’t care how good your game is, be humble. UC4 was likely the biggest disappointment of the gen for me (I can’t say anthem or fallout 76 as expectations were so low already).
A big disappointment for you, not for everyone. I loved it & it's on 93 metacritic. Plus do you know UC4 was made in 2 years only?? The quality of that game was insane for a 2 years cycle of development. Imagine tlou part ll, it's been in development for 5 years now... I have never been disappointed with naughty dog so I trust their words. As for what Anthony said I call it CONFIDENCE no more no less.

Uncharted 2 was the absolute tippy top of balance. Gorgeous visuals, amazing story and good gameplay. 3 tried to be a more of the same style, but it ended up being tired, no new gameplay ideas, and a terrible story. 4 I couldn’t even finish... it was just dreadful...

TLOU2 looks utterly gorgeous, but unless it’s got some decent gameplay changes and it’s not just TLOU1 with a fresh coat, I’ll likely skip. It will be the only Sony exclusivethat I won’t have played, then. I can’t wait for reviews because they will all hush about it even if it’s a steaming pile, I can see it a mile off.

I want it to be good, but I just have my doubts.
People and reviews were shitting on days gone and death stranding.
I just listened to my instincts and i had a blast with both.
Here my spidy senses are telling me stay cautious.

Naughty dog is not what it used to be.
Tech wizards , the best in the industry but their latest games were all meh

Better yet, let's just take a look at PlayStation's revenue in hardware versus AMD's revenue in the datacenter. Then we'll put you out of your misery by adding up the rest of their hardware lineup in revenue.

Yeah, that push is looking real good... 5 years later, and really, you're making it much easier by using Stadia as an example. Can't tell if you're being serious anymore.

Time for you to take a break, Donnie, you're out of your element.

Again, you are sounding foolish. Profit margin >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> revenue. Consoles are a zero sum game profit wise for all suppliers/manufacturers involved on the hardware end. Nvidia doesn't even compete for the space due to the low margins (Nintendo approaches hardware differently than Sony/MS) . AMD is a higher margin company than Sony, full stop. Sony has a ton of cash flow, not that much profit. Though PS is a highlight for them, so I'm sure they will always try to do right by that division.

How much Google earns/loses if anything, is up for debate. It was a very profitable contract for AMD regardless.

Let's not forget the Sony is a BIG hardware company, they made this insane speed for small memories for their cameras for PCIe 3.0, might as well they've designed or co-designed their own NVMe m.2? That'll be much cheaper if them involved instead of buying it, although we should put in mind that Sony would sell more than 1-2 million consoles before 2020 ends! We might expect those or something similar as supplementary memory cards.

How many times are you going to move goal posts and run away from your ridiculous claim about Azure? This argument ended long ago. Time to move on.

Sony didn't develop CFE, they are just another manufacturer. 4 or 5 brands make CFE cards.

I’m anticipating £499.99 each, and no more really. I have £1,000 we put aside for the both, with any extras coming out of pocket as needed.

I honestly don’t expect anything more than that, and that’s my extreme end of things. I would be more happy with £449.99 or £429.99 myself, as that means more for me to play with.

As has been said before people pay £500 for an Apple Watch, so for a huge next gen machine, that’s not too bad. The phones are different though, I know nobody who ever bought a phone out right - we all pay for it on our contracts.
I'm sorry you have to pay so much in Europe, especially for those who live in Latin America.

Didn't say so, but if you're "manufacturing" your own stuff it should be cheaper for you, like eating at home vs restaurant.

If they manufacture the nand, absolutely. If they contract for nand, their costs could be higher than going direct to a nand manufacturer for a finished product. Though professional CFE is such a high-margin product that it's not an issue in that market.

So far all the goal post moves have been yours. Good try with the Trumpian projection though.
You went from using Azure as a leverage for "better deals", pushing Project xCloud harder than PlayStation Now, and now your last resort of profit margins. Dare I ask what irrelevant topic you move onto next outside of semi-custom? 🤔

Mate no offence but reviews mean jack shit these days. I already know TLOU2 will get GOTY awards and all sorts, regardless of if it’s even any good by the majority of people. That stuff doesn’t matter, what should matter is what YOU like. I would be careful, the way your post came off sounded a bit... well you know...

Never going to tell you you’re wrong for what you like, that’s absolutely fine, and I will defend your right to say it to the hilt mate.

As for what Anthony said, I take it as big headed and egotistical. I dont care if you have 100 GOTY awards, just be humble about it. That kind of talk just riles me up.

Again, this is all my personal opinion, and doesn’t mean anything in the end.

It's confidence, either you do better than them or sit down, this is how the industry works.
Well Guerilla Games and MM impress me more with their enourmus risk taking. Naughty Dog has gone full PC retard with the lesbian love story instead on focusing on Ellie and Joel (whats being showed so far)

Mate you're judging me by a post on the internet, Nevermind.

As for metacritic I agree with you BUT I said in the same sentence that I loved the game, as for everybody else who doesn't like the game or Naughty dog in general it's totally fine, as long as I'm enjoying their games I don't care about what others think BUT respect their opinions.

As for Anthony I would say it's confidence that how I see it, you may see it differently but again it's fine.

Is shit like this necessary? It adds nothing to the conversation and just seems straight disrespectful to me.

100% agreed. Usually the people who engage in that kind of stuff have no valuable input into the discussion anyway, tho. So it isn't too big a loss.

That said for others who do it out of nowhere, they could just be having a bad day, and they don't make a habit out of doing it all the time (or don't have a habit of posting in a way that indicates they would be the type to do it or condone doing it regularly). Easy to tell the difference between the two over time though.

You do realize that everything you mentioned is the same argument right. MS can use Azure to lower costs on console parts in some instances (via high-margin enterprise contracts). They already did this with the UHD BR drive in OX & OS. Xcloud will increase the size of initial purchase order in comparison to Xbone. These are the only points I've made, more fact than opinion tbh. You moved to revenue, which required me pointing out the greater value in high-margin contracts. This isn't a war of words you'll win.

Moving on.

What is the problem not focusing on Joel and Ellie and instead create a lesbian love story.. Loads of problems
Care to explain what those problems are?
Also since when did a main character having a love interest constitute that narrative being a love story. Is John Wick a love story now?
How do you know what the focus of story is? Have you played it?
Is Ellie only allowed to have a father-daughter relationship with Joel and not allowed to have any other relationships - romantic or otherwise?
So she has a girlfriend. Who gives a fuck?

Wait that's a £ sign!!?
You think Sony has the balls to charge £150 more then the PS4 was at launch?
£75 more then the original PS3 with it's $600 dollars price?
They wouldn't dare.
£429 is the max
And that would be same Price PS3 Launched at.
If PS5 is gonna be expensive it'll be £399 or £429
£399/$499 is the spot they want to hit.

currypanda only posts negative news about Sony anyways. Here's a positive outlook from a Q&A tester from ree.

If we’re going to take the Bloomberg article as gospel.

“Most of the components for the console have been locked down, the people said, including the cooling system, which is unusually expensive at a few dollars per unit. Typically, companies would spend less than a dollar, but Sony opted to lavish more on making sure heat dissipation from the powerful chips housed inside the console isn’t an issue.“

Still stand by what I have and am being told. Both over 10 11.6 and 12.4. No one including the people I personally know have said anything to the contrary and even changing clock speeds won’t change this drastically.

edited to add: Both consoles are going to be very powerful. VERY, and MS is not fucking around when it comes to their games. At all.

I was going to answer something similar, but you've written it before. I hope he answers. I don't see that lot of problems. In particular I don't see any problem.
