I just booted up my Xbox One, and I'm browsing through games I can install and there are like a half dozen games on here that I never bought. Borderlands 3, Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered, Madden 20 (I would never buy this shit), WWE 2k20, and Yu-Gi-Oh Legacy of the Duelist. Random assortment of games, and I have no idea where they came from. There's been no charges to my account either, so it's not like I bought them.

Again, that's not it. I even logged into my xbox account and looked at my order history. No record of any purchases or transactions, last purchase made was when I signed up for Game Pass.

Nah, it will let you download them and then when you go to play it , you will get a message saying you need to purchase it first . It's actually pretty annoying.

I don't know exactly how it works and like...go buy own your damn game and what not...but what you're seeing may be a result of someone who is somehow sharing their library with you.

Well I'm still confused. I half expected to download one of these games, and then have it say that I don't have the digital rights to it. I downloaded Yu-Gi-Oh because it was the smallest file size, and it booted up. Still trying to download Borderlands 3 and see what happens there.

So okay, here's a piece of critical information that I left out that someone may be able to find the answer with. This Xbox I'm logged in is a used one I just got from Gamestop. I upgraded my Xbox One S, (wiped it clean before taking it in), and got an Xbox One X there. It was used, but it was factory reset, so there were no user profiles still on it.

Could these games still somehow linked to this system? even though there are no other accounts on it now.

Did you buy your console used?

Odds are the previous owner had it set as their home Xbox which makes the games available to you unless they change their home to their new console.

Yeah, it did the initial boot up and everything. It has no other profiles on it.

I've had a few glitches over the years where I've got free games I shouldn't have on the PS4. Nothing for a long while though. I just think it happens from time to time.
