There is always a company who will go to another company and say how much will it cost for me to get the top spec u can produce for this and that you can’t make that for a competition, or I pay for exclusive rights for RDNA 2.O for console life span of next gen. there are ways to do it without espionage but yeah espionage goes on don’t it. How else we seen leaks of ps5 dev kits and the xbox Xs befor they properly shown

Do you think internet insiders know more than Microsoft and Sony? Whose job it is to know these things? They don't need AMD to tell them anything. The available parts are completely transparent unless you are the one creating something eplixictly on your own (like Microsofts raytracing cores, which will also be used in Surface devices based on recent leaks).

They probably do, if you read the Xbox blog post from yesterday and paid attention (hardly anyone does tbh) you will notice Xbox saying our strongest and not the strongest.
Thats rather telling imo, then again it echoes with what's out there and both consoles will deliver.

Funny , it was only a few months back the SONY fans were saying how the PS5 was ahead because of the development kits out in the wild . I'm sure SONY will back a suprise, but like how MS was quite on the One specs untill the end , it's SONY is the same, so maybe MS really do have a power Adv this gen .

Aye, the same tech was available to both parties, and they both have the pick of the menu, it just depends on how much they were willing to sell the finished product for, which dictates their ceiling in power. I reckon MS are so open with the 12 tflpos and the "look at this massive box" because they know they are at the upper limit. So PS will either match it or be less. I'm firmly in the less crue. 9tf.

While Sony is smart they have always been bitches, they lead the market but can't actually lead the market.
They always wait for their competition so they can position themselves. Sure this is a smart move but it lacks confidence and leadership qualities. I mean even as we speak they've straight up said they're waiting on Microsoft for price so they can set theirs for the PS5.

You can't say you are faster than something that hasn't even announced how fast it is, can you? Not without sounding arrogant AF. I am sure the same people that try to read into that statement that they aren't the power leader would tear them up if they dared to call their console the fastest console this gen.

Microsoft had relative success this gen at 499. Sony had outstanding success at 399. I can see why Sony would design a 399 console.

What insiders? I have read 8, 9.2, 9.8, 10, 12, 12.3, 13 TFLOPS for PS5 from different insiders.

I think it’s looking more likely the ps5 will be between 10 to 12tfs rather than the lower end. if they were only 9tf that be to much of a difference

Remember the Marketing of both consoles will be as meticulously planned as the consoles themselves and the fact that both Sony and MS have been able to keep a lid on much of what they are planning both hardware and software side means the mapping they have in place has not been compromised. For MS compared to the XB1 launch this must be a godsend. As someone who's worked in marketing for longer than I care to mention, I think the gap between the wired article from Sony and further teasers is too long. Will it matter in the long run, very unlikely.

I believe that Sony does not want to distract their current and potential customers from games like The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima. After release of the latter, they are gonna go big with PS5 campaign unless MS brings some big guns which take away a momentum from those games.

While MS is boasting about their XSX without anything substantial to show and even saying it will lack XSX exclusive games for at least a year, Sony might just as easily be quiet while they get actual 1st party PS5 exclusives ready for a reveal where they come blowing MS away right out the gate.
The lack of communication is already lowering expectations, making it even easier for Sony to do so.

I think and according to jim ryan we will have the PS4 as the center and "engine" of sony, so I think for the first couple of years there will be PS4/PS5 AAA exclusive games!
We will only have small budget games that will be PS5 only, but not big and costly AAA games.

No, it is not too late as long as MS does not bring big guns in a form of better games.
But as I mentioned before, it is all to avoid a self-cannibalization effect. Who knows? If they do not have any other big game that can be a PS5 launch title, they will use TLoU2 and GoT in their next gen console campaign as well.

Sorry but you can’t convince me. The only blockbusters Sony had to offer in the last 1,5 years (1st Party) are TLOU2 and Ghosts.
All their 1st Party Studios are working hard in PS5 Titels and I am 100% sure, some of theme will bring games to the PS5 launch. Nothing other does make sense.

The whole situation does put Sony in a bad light - after all, they were the first ones with that Wired article that started the next-gen talk, the first ones to start giving the interviews about PS5, its upcoming features, how they are working with AMD etc., they send out the dev-kits long time ago, and after the initial stage where one would've though the momentum will only keep increasing, they went into complete radio silence... It's exactly like with their 1st party games, where they announce things waaay too soon, then apologize for the long-lasting lack of any information about the games, and assure they've finally learnt their mistake and won't make it again, and then they still make it, again and again... And looking at how they handle the PS5/next-gen conversation it looks like they indeed didn't learn shit.
While on the contrary, MS was seriously LTTP - they announced they're also working on next Xbox in June during E3, the dev-kits were released less than 3 months ago, and since then they already showed the look of the console, it's name, even the APU chip, yesterday we got this comprehensive list of specs and features, all of that within just a quarter, whereas Sony for almost a year hasn't really done much after that initial Wired interview, most of PS5 hints come from the leaked patents or 3rd party devs.
So for me, once Sony finally decides to reveal the PS5, it has to be BIG, literally they'll have to outshine XB and PC in every possible way, otherwise if they are going to just sit and wait for MS price reveal to just cut down theirs by 50-100$ then screw them, their lazy, no effort, and almost anti-consumer approach is not worth saving those extra bucks. MS in my eyes already redeemed themselves from that terrible/disastrous initial Don Mattrick's leadership, while Sony has yet to do their job after current not-so-user-friendly attitude.
