I'm ready to say fukk it and go PC.

Sony putting exclusives on there next gen, Microsoft already putting all there exclusives and gamepass on PC, Pretty much every third party game drops on PC.
There are two Switch emulators in the works.
Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U emulators are playable now
You can run android for your mobile gaming needs if you want to.
All the emulators for all the classic consoles make it a true king in the backwards compatibility department.
Most games are going cross play for multiplayer so you don't even need to pay monthly for online.
Steam deals are sometimes cheaper than console.
You can play the three gamepads from Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft.

With the Master Race you can never loss and are pretty much covered in every aspect.

You just named two PC games made for PC and ported to Console and one AAA game which is regarded one of the worst made games in history. That is such a bad example.

90% of the time, games are run well on consoles. And those issues are no where near as bad as all the random computer crashes and freezes in games plus all the driver/compatibility issues, no way in hell!

Gears 5 is another example and its a high budget 1st party game that launched completely broken. the reality is games constantly come out broken on all platforms now

I'll be playing Halflife Alyx on my Oculus Quest via the Oculus Link with 4x4 roomscale. I can do so within 1 month.

on console single player campaign would lose progress, servers where having major issues, game launched with a ton or problems on my xbox. not just me either it launched in a really bad state.

its been patched now and runs alot better, but it is an example of a game that launched broken on consoles.

Sounds awesome. Oh wait its not. You boot up the game on your $2000+ PC and the game is stuttering in the menu. What could it be....maybe i need to update my graphics driver...or is it my cpu thats not compatible. Oh ill figure it out.

Then you come to the forum and like most PC topics, it goes like this:

Guys should i turn off shadows or use 2Xaa instead of 8? Is there a big difference between medium and high because its a shooter so i want best performance. Potato mode it is. Why dont I have sound, i just bought a $1000 sound system too, hmm probably need to update the drivers. Hey why am i getting purple/pink artifacts graphically all over the screen???? My GPU is dying i need to instal a bigger fan.

Yeah, I say fuck PC gaming unless you got the cash to keep that thing alive. People talk more about how to get the game running rather than playing it.

PC costs $$$$ to build
PC costs $$$$ to stay current
If you have spare $$$$ lying around, by all means go PC if you want.

Majority of people just want to get home from work, jump in a game and play. Not many would want to fiddle with graphics drivers, updates etc that one would find on PC.

Console costs alot less money. Not everyone can throw $$$$ around to build a PC.

When I was younger I enjoyed the p.c hobby, fiddling and upgrading and all that. 40 year old me just wants to come home from work and turn my brain off. So yeah, you're statement is right at least for me.

I thght i m done too with ps4 when I got a new pc with gtx 1060 5 years ago.

But with a kid now, it is far more enjoyable to hot swap controllers on tv console than pc.
