This year we have had these rumours:

Kojima and Konami beef squashed

Konami working on a Silent Hill reboot, talking to other developers to see who is best to make the new game.

Kojima working on a new Horror title.

Kojima working on a potential Silent Hill title

KojimaProductions soon to be bought by Sony.

While not confirmed yet, this is pretty juicy when it comes to rumours.

However, hardcore Silent Hill fans may recall that Ito once said that he would only work on a new game in the series if he didn't have to use Pyramid Head or could kill the character off in the opening. Guess which date it is in Japan right now. It's Kojima, he is known for these kind of trolls. He just played everybody to generate some interest in the PC launch of Death Stranding, nothing more, nothing less.

Man, I'm on a roller coaster. The PC version of DS was announced last October by 505 Games (it's being ported by a different company). The wording of the original KojiPro post was talking about what they're going to do next (wording). Also, if he's not working on the port, what has him so busy? We're not out of the game yet boys

I'm not even sure he is familiar with anything Silent Hill except for the movies.

He hasn't tweeted anything related to the franchise, he's not friends with anybody from Team Silent as far as the public knowledge is concerned, he never even praised a Silent Hill game. There's literally nothing that ties Kojima to it.

So if there's a horror game from Kojima you can be damn sure it's his original creation

I just want to point out something so please dont take it as an attack on your opinion. Masahiro Ito’s illustrations show up in the vista mansion in MGS4.
I’m not suggesting you’re wrong or anything, just wanted to mention this tidbit in regards to any Kojima and Team Silent tie-ins.

edit: i debated whether I should add this too. Yamaoka and Kojima worked with Suda51 on SDATCHER. And just for shits and giggles...
