Am I Evil?

No, I’m Evil. President Evil.

I feel like there's a fundamental difference between kinda rooting for something to happen and possibly taking matters into your own hands to bring it about. For instance, I might be fine with a chain of volcanoes erupting all across the world. The impacts would bring immediate global cooling of temperatures and a practical reversal of the ice caps melting. Consequently, however, many would suffer and the world would struggle. At least we wouldn't have to hear about global warming anymore, though! This is totally different than if I hatched a plan to trigger those volcanoes to erupt, and thereby caused people to die, lose their homes, freeze to death, and starve to death.

OP, if you travel to that other town and grab an infected object and bring it back to your town with the purpose of infecting others, that would be evil.

So.

The good old Corona Virus has hit a town near me, about 45-60 minutes away, and I can't help to think I want it to come in my town.

Now I don't mean this because I want my town to perish and go out in embers of golden em-blazed flame or I want to riot in the streets like no tomorrow.

I just want a few months off work, as my manager said if it hits our town we are legally made to take two months paid leave unless the virus goes away beforehand.

I don't want anyone to die (well maybe my ex, she can fuck right off the blonde bimbo), in all reality I just want some time off so I can play games and use my fleshlight, work on my album and earn a living for two months.

Am I Evil for wanting that?
Yes, you're evil (at least a little) for wanting a dangerous disease to infect your town. A disease which can possibly kill some of you or incapacitate them for a while. You're not even thinking of the other negative externalities outside of yourself, like supply shortages, or economic recession that would definitely affect your neighbors. Very selfish thinking.

*reads more thread*
I like some of the people in my town tbh, and don't wish any harm I just wouldn't mind some more time off paid to work on my hobbies like my music and spend time with my family, thank you for the kind words.

Let's hope we just get time off and no-one gets hurt! :)
Wait, wait, you just want some fantasy scenario where the virus comes to town but no one suffers any bad consequences? What the fuck is the point of this thread then? That you're lazy?

This isn't even a morally difficult Sophie's Choice dilemma. It's like Ronald McDonald's choice or some shit. Of course everyone wants time off from work and still get paid.

Speaking as someone that wants to kill themselves...I would love to get this disease and die alone.

Oh..is this too graphic? I do apologise.

Every time there's a pandemic I wish I was involved, but never am.

Evil, no
But you do come off as a extremely lazy person even though you say your not......sure

The more I think about it, the more lazy it is I agree, but such is life I suppose, I have worked hard believe it or not most of my life so I guess I have just hit a roadblock and want some time for myself (aside from the 13 weeks paid holiday lol)

Pretty sure that's what most anyone would think but just not be willing to admit it

Yeah, had some people act like it isn't normal to want time off work to do things you enjoy freely.

I understand it is a potential global pandemic but still.
