Even if they do, people wont magically shift to PC. Horizon 2 will be on PS5 and it will be mind blowing, MOST of the people do not give a fock if it will be a bit better on a 1000 dollars PCs after a year, especially after shifting to new 4K TVs that they just put on their living room. This, withour considering that as I said with have no idea what Sony's plan is: after a year, after 10 milions copies are reached, at the end of each generation, only a part of the titles or everything... it could be each one of this.

I know, their current baseline is base Xbox One hardware, but I wonder if they will change the infrastructure to be more like XSX in the future.4K streaming?All the previews for XCloud have been no higher than 720p so thy have a long way to go.

Fantastic, however, that doesn't answer that question. I'm on the fence on upgrading my PC, buying an XSX or buying a PS5.

the current beta is almost entirely to test user interface and ease of use.
their new update for example let's you watch a trailer or gameplay video of a video while browsing through the games list, and while you are looking at that trailer a server in the background starts up and loads the game so it instantly starts should you choose to play it.
stuff like that and netcode are the things tested.
once it fully launches I bet they will have the SX as the baseline

Well, are you interested in mods, the PCs only titles, potentially better performance if you spend enough? Go to PCs.
Do you want the easier possible system at the best price/power balance with all the exclusives as soon as they come out and without asking yourself which of them and when they will come out on other platforms? Go to consoles.

i am buying ps5 so definitely i am supporting Sony games. And no one knows how/when Sony is going to releasing their games on pc. if you can wait 4-5 years then upgrade your pc.

Lol dude it has nothing to do with quality, a game being on pc(after the fact at that) years later does not effect the quality on a other system.
What it does however make it seem like one base is second class in regards to price and performance just to name a couple . Which botn are better on PC. Then there is bifurcating of the player base from lack of cross play, etc.

Why would I care about someone playing a better version on a $1000 PC? I know how much I want to pay and how much quality is acceptable to me, it's like being bitter someone is driving a Ferrari while you drive a regular car.

I recall mine craft didn't get cross play until very recently and it is much more popular. And it was 3rd party to begin with.

Too many people worried about their platform of choice become irrelevant. I used to think like that, but then I realized I don't give a damn to PCs, don't even play on them anymore, and have zero wish to buy a proper one(mine is ten years old). I like the convenience of the couch without worrying about configurations and tuning, and I think many who like consoles think the same way.

Your analogy is all wrong. The game isn't going to be night and day in different from each other dude. You are making it seem like the pc version is going to be a completely different game.
The correct analogy is that imagine being sold a Ferrari(because HZD is a fantastic game) for a price and then see that same dealer sell that same type of Ferrari, take the engine out and put a faster one in it on top of selling it much cheaper.
I would imagine you wouldn't like that.

I don’t know why, but I have a feeling it’s gonna be both + some unannounced features. Not saying it’s 100% happening, but you know, them being this quiet for me at least, sounds like they’re gonna blow everyone’s minds away with a HUGE reveal in the end.
I don’t think they’re gonna wait until September to show off the console and the controller, should be this month or next month.

yeah, the silence might indicate that they are afraid or that they are super confident in their product. they know they have the most powerful console with some amazing looking games and they know it doesnt really matter when they reveal it.
Yea an example of clear over reaction. I forget whose podcast I was listening to, but they were investigating his trophy data and seen he didn't beat the game let alone play that much of it. So the anger was wild. I mean regardless it is pretty crazy.
I'm surprised about the decision and we will see where it leads, but at least going by Hulst's word, unless he is lying, this is a lure for some of the pc market and is going to be an infrequent occurrence. Whether it works or not is something we have to see.

The only thing i can think about is in the future sony officering there own version of steam on PC Do you mean Playstation store on pc ? Nobody needs this, and Sony is too fucking lazy to do it.
edit: essentially the mic drop is it’s not a 9.2tf machine, which to anybody with a brain, is obvious. The machine will match the SX (and in a few ways surpass it, and the SX surpass the ps5 in a couple) and there is nothing to worry about.

It is not just Horizon case to be fair... for me is a series of decisions PlayStation keep doing that will end in I stopping to play games because I won't play on PC or other platform.
