That was your mistake. Watching the anime instead of reading the manga. I mean I enjoyed the anime a lot, it was what got me into one piece more than 15 years ago, but I completely dropped it shortly after the time skip when the pacing and animation got worse.
Although I have been meaning to watch the current arc, since it got a lot better again from what I have heard in terms of production. As well as the arc before it.

Wish they would do it as a seasonal anime, the animation and pacing would be so much better. But toei will never do that, cause one piece is that morning anime that has to run weekly.

I'll second the Azumanga Daioh recommendation.
School Rumble is my personal favorite anime comedy.
Baka and Test and Nichijou are both really great.
Watamote is great at cringe-type humor.
My Mental Choices are Completely Interfering with my School Romantic Comedy (fucking light novel titles, I swear to god) was pretty good.
Haganai was a solid mix of harem and comedy.
I never finished it, but what I saw of Ben-To was really fun.
Is This a Zombie?! is a great action/comedy series (at least Season 1, I never got around to S2)
Pani Poni Dash is like a mix of comedy and an acid trip at times. I really liked it, but be warned that it's really bizarre
The first half of Gamers! was really funny, kinda like School Rumble with the misunderstandings. The second half kinda went a different direction, it was enjoyable just not as funny.
Apologies that a lot of these are a bit older, so they may not be on current streaming sites.
I mean, depends on what you're looking for. Since you mentioned Gantz, I didn't get around to reading the final arc, but everything before that is really good. The first 8 volumes (not sure how many are collected in each omnibus) might test your patience with the main character but there's an eventual pay-off with his character development.
For other shonen/seinen with varying levels of dark elements, of the ones I've read I'd recommend Berserk, Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist, Attack on Titan, and The Promised Neverland.
Rosario Vampire is a good shout. Only season 1 though, S2 was a massive letdown. There's also jitsu wa watashi wa, haganai, shomin sample and I think outbreak company might have had some comedy bits.
Oh, also there's shimoneta. If you've never watched it it's set in some kind of dystopian hell hole where everything lewd has been banned by law.

but the problem with that stupid animation drag had nothing to do with seasonal or not...even dragon ball, naruto not have this problem..and yet one piece..even simple piece of action is ridiculously unneededly few secs drag...its like playing game with serious input lag issue...whats funny is movie version didnt have this issue
Just realised I should also have stated that if anyone does plan to watch season 2 of RosaVam do so BEFORE reading the manga. I think my opinion of season 2 was heavily affected by the manga as I consider it to be in my top 5 and the anime went in a completely different direction and suffered for it.Rosario Vampire is a good shout.
