I'm around, never left...…..I was on the job yesterday, so only this morning I had time to sit properly through Cerny's talk.....I also watched DF's take....I've given a breakdown in the next gen tech thread recently......I think PS5 is a very well designed piece of kit....I love the custom engineering, it's extremely impressive.......What do you think?

Dissapointed by Sony. We haven't seen the console yet and I am convinced that it will not be released in 2020. No way they will be able to release it this year. Microsoft on the other hand, has a better more powerful console. After owning all Sony's consoles. this will be the one that I will pass. In today's market you loose this generation Sony, and it will be harder to recover. Sony is not Microsoft in terms of capital, and can't allow themself to be behind Microsoft.

You are one of the most hardcore Sony fanboys here, but I've never seen you attack or harass any Xbox fans unlike the worst Sony fanboys and the reality is I honestly feel bad for you and the all the decent people that just happen to prefer PlayStation.

I kind of know how a lot of you feel today, probably a lot like I felt after the 2013 Xbox E3 conference. Here's the thing, all you PS guys have enjoyed the hell out of your PS4s and you've had and are still getting the games you love this gen and plenty more next gen. The PS5 is a really big step up from the PS4 Pro and a massive step up from the base PS4. Think of how awesome Sony games will be on the PS5.

Trust me the PS4 being far more powerful than the One didn't take away from how much I enjoyed all my games on the One and the power of the XsX won't have any effect whatsoever on your enjoyment of your games on the PS5.

Btw, no hard feelings and there's no need to feel sorry for me, I'm calm and not really disappointed tbh......Yes I was on the higher TF train, but I must say, I do prefer the design Cerny brings here...….You take your time and watch it and go into it without any pre-conceived ideas and biases and you will see there is an actual vision behind the PS5 silicon.....They went balls-deep into eliminating bottlenecks, so it's not a pure TF battle anymore......It's like the big giant in TROY vs the speed of Achilles.....PS5 will be insanely fast with the custom silicon and SSD....

I wish you guys would not take this so personally though, it should be a time of celebration, lets discuss civilly.... I think most of you are just focused on the revenge totem pole, but it may come back to bite when Series X proves to be slower in many areas, we already know the divide is not as big as PS4-XBONES or XBONEX to PRO.....It's only 17% on TF and PS's design has so much silicon to mitigate that.....So the differences you are anticipating might not be forthcoming…...However what I cannot do is to deflate what you think you are gonna get....I get that you like XBOX and are stoked....I wish you the best.....I hope MS brings the games this gen......I'll be playing them if they do, you can count on that, most probably on PC, but it's never really about the hardware, always about the games right?

It's interesting how differently people perceived the presentation. I have studied computer hardware engineering and I was hugely impressed by everything Cerny said.

The custom silicon and all the solutions to remove bottlenecks.. Just wow! To me it was mind-blowing, though entirely theoretical. Real-life performance is yet to be seen obviously. But it sounded incredible from an engineering point of view with a lot of smart choices that make sense.

My friend however who also watched it live, was extremely bored and disappointed. I guess it would have been more impressive to just present "big TF number" for most people.

I can't wait to see the design and hear if the cooling is enough, etc. Lot of people right now who seem to think next generation is "lost" for Sony.

Time will tell, but I can't imagine that the PS5 will be a failure in any way. At least not because it has a couple of terraflops less raw computing power than the XSX.

Well, the truth is people were lapping all this time for specs, but now they have it, it's a long waiting game......At least in the meantime PS4 fans have many GOTY level games to play till November...

The XsX is superior in every aspect except SSD*. Go look at the spec comparison chart
Faster CPU
Better and faster GPU
Faster Ram
12.15TF vs 9.2 - 10.28TF (with boost mode)
