Resident Evil 3 Remake LEAKS thread (UNMARKED SPOILERS AHEAD)

The only new regular enemy types in this game are the hunter gamma and beta, the parasite, and the drain deimos. The rest are all reused assets from RE2make. This is so disappointing, especially knowing the Grave Digger was cut. :(

Anyway, here is a snippet of Carlos in the RPD:

Man, the Save room theme in the Police Station sounds straight outta Biohazard Orchestra Album back from 1999

Oh boy! I skipped over that part! Sounds wonderful! Why didn't RE2make use this amazing remix? It's really quite in the footage, though. I wonder if the RPD Main Hall theme is in the game. I tried listening for it during the stream yesterday, but the guy kept talking and making bad jokes over the audio.

Aggelos Aggelos do you remember if the RPD Main Hall had the music?

Same here, I had muted the audio from the very beginning, because for one, I don't understand French, and secondly Eng speakers started back-seating during the stream, and the guy said with broken English " Sorry no English during the play-through" and they kept nagging him. Thus, I muted the entire shebang.

He also really sucked at the game. Haha! It was frustrating to watch.

It's a domicile/residence that Jill goes through. She gains access to that from the alleyway on the left side of Kendo's Gun shop.
Go to 17:50 at you'll see it.
I must've skipped over that part. I'm trying to keep anything with Kendo a surprise for when I play.

Actually during gameplay, when facing Nemesis, Jill says the all-time classic line "You want STARS? I'll give you STARS!"
I heard that, and thought the new delivery of the line was great! I would've liked it to stay the final one-liner before she kills Nemesis for good, but it works in its new context as well.

EDIT: Updated the OP with the complete bestiary according to someone who completed the game (same person who posted the 1 hour of gameplay).

I'm not going to watch anymore cutscenes, but someone posted the Kendo scene.

He's uploaded a 3rd part with Carlos in the R.P.D. (But bandwidth is limited, I'm afraid.... Download Quota Exceeded.)

That's the work-around here
Add the file to your own Google Drive.
Make a copy of that file.
Then download the copy.

You're welcome everyone.

Don't expect these kind of youtube videos to survive long, before being taken down

While i'm excited to play this game i'm also disappointed that Capcom has once again decided to cut content. REmake is the perfect example of how you can do a proper remake. All of the original content is there while also adding new stuff. I hope Capcom replaces the current team at some point as this whole excuse of removing/changing certain enemies because they are not "realistic" is getting old.

Dude, why do you even considering that "cut content" if the content wasn't even there in the first place. You do know how VERY different this game is compared to the original do you?

Btw did it leak on PC too or only consoles?

Edit: AAAAAAAAaaaaw.

Jill: '' Maybe I can hit the fuel tank ''.

Whhyyyyy!?
Lol...
I had that thought while I was watching, '' I wonder if you can shoot the fuel tank? '' and then she just said it xD.
Not a big deal I know, but it's just something that annoys me so much in more mainstream games. They treat you like you're a moron who needs it spelled out. It's like this in movies too and it's annoying imo.
Lemme figure things out on my own please?

Not a dude. I just wish they were more faithful to the original. Removing enemies that were in the original game is not something i like. Capcom themselves even admitted that Ivy was almost removed from Remake 2. In the end they just made another zombie variant after they had a lot of discussions with their current staff. I'm still excited for this game but this game won't fully replace the original Resident Evil 3 like REmake did the PS1 version for the most part.

Holy fuck this is creepy xD.
How Jill gets infected maybe?

Nemesis is still the one to infect Jill. I find this cutscene baffling... it's just an excuse to force the player to use a green herb. You shouldn't be punished like that in an unavoidable cutscene, especially in a series where nearly every game is built in a way where you can complete it without taking any damage.

REmake is still the ideal remake, imo.

But these new remakes work great as companion pieces to the originals, so I really hope Capcom releases a classic trilogy collection that includes all 3 classics with added challenge modes (time attack, Extreme Battle, Mercenaries), unlockable concept art, and small tweaks that can be turned on in the menu (like added the quick turn to RE1 and RE2).

This happens with every remake. Some people still prefer OG Re1 compared to Remake. People still prefer OG RE2 to Remake 2. Same will happen with 3, and FF VII Remake.

I'm just glad that I can appreciate the difference of both versions and realize that the originals are not going anywhere

Fair point, but if you love a game and it gets a remake, it disappointing when some of your favorite elements are completely ignored for no real reason.

Also, in the case of these remakes where the developers cut out enemies because they weren't "practical," that worries me for future installments. I feel the same way with how they handled the soundtrack of RE2make, by cutting out almost all the memorable tunes. The problems I have with the remakes will no doubt carry over to future games like RE8.

As long as the experience is still great I'm fine with some changes. I would like to experience this for myself before shitting on it though. Again, this was how A LOT of people first reacted with RE2 Remake, fast forward and it has 90+ metacritic, GOTY nominations, and is a great game to a lot of gamers. Only purists who do not want anything changed from the original will not enjoy it. Capcom even stated that since RE3 is not loved as much as RE2, that they would have more freedom to make some changes. I'm just excited for the adventure, gameplay, cutscenes, story etc and be immersed instead of nitpicking it to death.

At first glimpse that looks like a Licker on steroids lol. I suppose it makes sense that he growths bigger over time instead of transforming into a huge monster like on the original.

No, REmake (GCN) did not replace the original (PS1).
I agree with this. I think REmake is the best remake ever, as well as the best RE game, but RE1 is a different experience. I replayed it a couple weeks ago, and I was shocked at how enjoyable it still is.

Also, the grenade launcher can now shoot mines (replacing the mine thrower):

My dear, maybe after racking their brains, and working on those elements, they couldn't find ways to make the old monsters relevant again.
RE2 Remake was announced back 2015, getting green-lit for development. Producer Peter Fabiano recently said the RE3Remake was in development for around 3 years, which means that around the Fall of 2016 early development and concepts for RE3 Remake began.

These people have been crunching either way, working their asses off (as Jason Shreier pointed out how things are the VG industry)

They already showed in the RE2 Remake round-tables, that content was canned and axed. So why would people get so worked up?
It's not that they have amnesia or something, which meant that during the development they suddenly became forgetful of spiders, crows, the Giant Moth, Grave Digger, enhanced Lickers, and whatnot....

Your mistake was thinking this Remake was suppose to be a replacement. Like they said many times in interviews it's an alternative experience.

Yes it did. There's no reason to play the original over the Remake.
I'd say RE1 is an important piece of gaming history. The atmosphere is completely different, the primitive graphics and simple backgrounds give off a more surreal vibe that is unique to RE1, the voice acting is super entertaining, the game is more challenging, and the levels/items/enemy placement is designed completely different. In addition to all that, not having to worry about Crimson Heads gives you a bit more freedom to shoot down every zombie you see in the original.

You can find REmake to be a better game than RE1, I do as well, but that doesn't mean there is no value in the original. Even if it's just for the novelty of seeing where survival-horror really began.

Aaaaaaand... the account has been terminated.

I did watch the fight, though. The boss fights seem to be both an improvement over RE2make and RE3 classic based on the two Nemesis fights I've seen.

will probably get when it is 30 bucks.
There's no way I can wait that long, but I can see a lot of people following your lead. As of right now, I'm worried of the value we'll be getting from RE3make...

The Nightmare and Hell difficulties that remix item and enemy locations should add some replay value, but there really needs to be extra modes. Given how much more action-oriented this game is, a lack of a Mercenaries mode really hurts. REsistance could be fun, but it's a game that requires online, 4 other players, and it doesn't have the same game mechanics as RE3 (no quick step or perfect dodge); plus, it's a separate game.

That second Nemesis form looks insane xD.
Kinda disappointed that there doesn't seem to be any BSAA costume tho? Maybe DLC later I guess?

Edit: In regards to playtime.
I kinda think that this is a matter of quality over quantity.
The RE games don't waste your time, you have a clear goal of what to do and you do that.
And they're also built around speedrunning I think, I mean I can run through RE2 in a little over an hour now so yeah.

I'd rather take a shorter game that doesn't waste my time than just a huge game were it just drags.
