I work in an area of print production that supplies food manufacturers, so I'm essential. Will be doing some sort of staggered work from home shit in the coming weeks, but as of now still coming in every day.

I do HVAC for a School district. The 4 Maintenance guys and the custodians have been here the whole time. The secretary showed up today. Kids are supposed to come back april 6. I doubt it though.

Technically I am in Transportation so ‘essential’. Also ~1500 miles from home. I can’t lie, it’s tough to be away from home, probably only a minor raise and no bonus this year to look forward to as well as not going home as frequently (as in not at all) to limit my/others exposure...
It’s a job though, right?!

My company is still working.

Non essential manufacturing.

We have to wear gloves, masks, cannot be within 2m of one another. All office based staff are at home. Workers still working. Company refusing to send people home who are older than 60 or who have underlying health conditions.

Not good if you ask me.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Emergency essential worker, checking in. Been putting in 15 hour days (away from home) for the last... fuck I can't even remember the last time I had a day off

Counties & municipalities issuing a lockdown order usually have an associated tip line you can call for violators. Just something to consider, and totally your choice.

Thanks for your hard work man. We need folks like you.

I still have to go to work. I'm a lineman dispatch.
This is honestly the only thing keeping me sane. I travel to work on my bike, so at least I get some pleasure out of that.
If it weren't that, I don't know what the hell I'd do.

I’m in the auto industry so have been labeled essential. Life goes on like normal except for the random dude that gets sent home for showing symptoms which has happened already three times this week lol. Oh to be essential.

I'm a building engineer for a large hotel. Even if they shut us down I'll still be there. I still have to make sure the generator does its weekly exercise, fill out life safety paperwork, still have to look for leaks of water or gas, still have to make sure the bare minimum of equipment is doing its thing, and so on.

Last night there were 2 of us running the place. 1 guy at the front desk and myself doing whatever it is I need to do.

I'm their to protect the owners assets so I'll always be going in.

I work at a care facility so stuck working 😢 would of been nice to be at home so i wouldn't have fear of infecting parents.

People dont stop being old or in need of healthcare so yeh, Im essential.

On the downside, I'm obviously high risk. I cant afford to get infected, if I do, it has serious consequences for the residents so I have to be smart about how I go about avoiding potential infection.

On the plus side, short of society completely collapsing, healthcare is something that is always needed so Im fortunate enough to be able to avoid the mess of people being uncertain about their job futures right now.

If anyone at home gets infected, I basically have to live at work in some makeshift beds that have been setup for staff in the event shit goes sideways and we have to bunker down. That'll be fun......

I'm still working. I'm at a retail store but according to our manager we're an "emergency supply store" and qualify as Essential. On the other hand my state has (thankfully) not been hit so hard by the virus (for now), but that leads me to believe that maybe my employer won't be considered "Essential" if things get worse.

For now I'm grateful I can work full time still because my wife's hours have been cut significantly. My brother works Produce so he should be fine but I'm worried about my mother because I doubt Real Estate is gonna be in high demand if things get worse.

I must say that despite everything, the walk in to work this week has been lovely. Birds everywhere, peaceful, and it is an eerie feeling to just stand in the middle of what is normally a busy road.

If everyone could spend the next six months cowering in fear in their homes, that would suit me just fine.

Yup still going and doing non-essential work. My working hours are at weekends so I am only two days under fire. Locking myself inside the rest of the five days. Most likely still gonna catch covid as rest of the people seem so care free about how they handle themself.

Nature is reclaiming what it owns. This virus is its way of telling us to chill and relax, and be more in tune with the earth.

My company is essential to the supply chain of medical devices, therefore I can go to work if necessary.

That said, 99% of what I do is advise and push paper so I’m remote only as of last week.

I work in the electricity industry, i manage records. There are only 4 people in our office, everyone else working from home. They dont have enough "licenses" for us to work from home.

I work in a hospital.. The other day I could hear student nurses complaining that they didn't cancel their clinicals.... smh

I am. We are all spread out in the office but still pass each other in the halls and shit. Its at least reduced risk and I dont have to deal with many people on a face to face basis.

I wouldnt say that we are an essential service, but we keep essential services up and running.

Yup. Key worker here. Even have an official letter to show the police if they stop me during the lockdown. I wanted a small laminate but it seems printed A4 was more practical.

I am, in fact working 6 days a week it really really blows, but could be worse at least i did not get laid off.... lots of people I know have been let go from their jobs, or they are leave without pay

I pick home shopping deliveries in a supermarket. Customers are supposed to stay 2 meters away from each other and us. That doesn't happen.

If my Facebook is any indication, having to still go into work is the new Crossfit - how do you know someone still has to do it? Don't worry, they'll tell you.

As an IT monkey, I'm basically on-call as far as having to go in goes, with one or two mandatory trips to the office per week.

I'm in admin/management in logistics, supplying for supermarkets and bottle shops in Australia, so yes, i'm considered "essential"... The lengths we are going to protect people and also stay open is both hilarious and sad at the same time. Especially when our company tries to save money, and believe me, we are 1 of if not THE biggest supermarket chain in Australia.

What part of the industry?

I work with automotive as well, but we only have a couple select lines running; I'm technically working from home, but will be in next week to finish something important up.

Not physically going in but I’m hating the long hours I’ve been working of changing my infrastructure to accommodate 1600 users going remote over a weekend. Then when it’s all clear IT will still be looked at like a burden cost instead of “Essential”
