It is not a criticism to Benji as he never called him as sales analyst.
He is a (if I’m not getting the retail wrong) a Best Buy’s employee that has access to regional sales data.

This is dumb; MS still wants to sell consoles.
Their #1 customers will always be console buyers who buy a lot of games, accessories AND subscribe to their services.
Everyone else is a lower tier customer they are trying to expand their base into.. doesn't mean they suddenly don't care about their most profitable customers.

You guys aren't understanding where a huge chunk of their "game" revenue comes from:
Third party game sales, of which MS gets a 30% cut on Xbox... they also get a cut of every accessory sold, even if it's third party. (not to mention paying for XBL... GamePass being twice as expensive as PC... hmmmm.. BUT DEY DONT CURR BOUT CONZOLEWSSSS.)
And how do people manage to buy games and accessories on consoles? By buying them.. derp. They aren't doing shit for third party game sales on Windows Store comparatively, otherwise you guys might ACTUALLY have a point.
An xbox gamer makes them multiple times the money as someone who subscribes to gamepass on PC... but sure, they dont curr.. cuzz.. like.. peeplz on forumz said so.. maths r eazy!

I think it's hard to really undersell the negative impact that the Xbone had on the Xbox brand as a whole. The Xbox 360 established Xbox as a real, long-term player in the market - equal to Sony, who have the undisputed kings for decades now. The Xbone contracted Microsoft's market share by over 50%, decimated their good will and recognition, and left their brand in tatters. A complete and unmitigated disaster. With all that said, it's easy to forget that first part - the Xbox 360 was the PS3's equal. If Microsoft can get their messaging on point, actually deliver some interesting first party titles, and produce a competitive piece of hardware, there's no reason they can't climb back to their previous position. I expect the Series X to do rather well, however Sony have had an incredible generation - barely a wrong move for six entire years - and they're going to lead next gen, no questions asked.

There money comes from subscriptions and 30% cut like we told you already. Xbox series X is only made to pull more players into their ecosystem. If you buy a game on windows store or xbox series X they don't care as long as you buy it on there platform.
Sony will also need to make some changes next generation or else they could see devs jump shit entirely or change there business model with a complete different game outputs like e-sport titles and drop single player games entirely if they are not directly paid by sony to do so. Which doesn't sound like good business to me.
This is why sales for xbox series X doesn't matter to microsoft even remotely. They could sell 10 boxes but if there service grows its fine.

Windows Store is an utter failure; nobody buys games on it... meanwhile, Xbox has a decent attach ratio.

This conversation and no words I said were about the profit off of the box. I literally explained in my first post on this topic.
Their console customers make them WAY more money.. actually buy games through their digital store.. spend $5 / month (or a little less) on Xbox Live that doesn't exist on PC... spend twice as much on GamePass as PC...

They didn't care about PC gaming, which they axed overnight. They don't care about xbox. The only thing they care about is the money income and if it comes from PC instead of xbox they are perfectly fine with it as long as it grows. This is why xbox sales aren't important towards them.

Here's a couple of facts:
- Windows Store is a complete and utter failure, MS desperately even tries to get devs to USE it, let alone people to buy software/games through it
- WIndows Store does NOT in fact take a 30% cut; see point #1 how it's a failure. The cut is only 15%; they've actually lowered that to 10% and 5% at times... because.. again... Windows Store is a complete and utter failure.
Microsoft doesn't spend hundreds of millions/billions of dollars developing the XBox platform because "Xbox sales aren't important to them"... at face value saying that identifies you as someone who has no clue WTF they are talking about.
