When I asked about the performance of both consoles his response was "Both have the same target we will see if either of them hit that target. " I pushed further and asked what the target was and his response was simply."Above 12" That is not for the XseX or the PS5,from what I can gather internally both machines are targeting very high performance which lines up with hearing earlier that the machines would both be $499 with both companies Taking a loss.

The gdk they are working with is not the final kit for either machine and XseX is currently ahead in terms of sheer power. Sonys tool set is much more complete and refined.
The trailer is all actual game play. Not in engine but game play.

I tried to tell everyone months ago

Most of you all are getting played in your thirst for information and you don’t even realize it.

First, most “insider” predictions about upcoming games are just genericcomments and everyone gets excited. I mean no shit there will be sci fi and sequels. I could write that now and be right no matter the game.

if you are going to leak, leak the actual information that can be proven right or wrong. If not, you are making generalizations for clout.

Second, can anyone here describe a single game trailer that they have watched once in the level of detail that Osiris just did? Seriously, a “vertical slice” and you picked all that up. Unless they handed you a video and said write everything you see for a descriptive writing paper you would never pick all of that up. That reads like a short story scene that someone just wrote to make a point.

no one would even write all of that stuff down about a current game scene they are watching.

”Insiders” are always seeking clout and the easiest way to do that is make general statements and never have to be proven wrong.

Just saying, you should be putting your sceptic hat on much more than you are because stuff like the above should make you question whats happening.

No they can't. This is not accuracy this is step by step with descriptions of every aspect of the scene. Unless you are a savant with photographic memory or have watched a clip over and over and over again taking notes you won't get all of this.

He says he was shown a vertical slice. If true this would not have been a situation where someone who isn't working on an unannounced game goes into a studio and takes detailed notes on a game to regurgitate elsewhere. This person must also see detailed info like this on lots of other games too. At some point, this person must be well known enough that everyone will know who they are if they are leaking accurate info on a lot of stuff. Games industry is small. Its why leaks are usually very narrow. No one really sees everything first hand without being known and then the leak is plugged.

Ok, let's say the above scene never appears publicly. My response, "Game got cancelled, looked awesome but team is pumped for next one." Guess what, you can't prove I'm wrong. Thus the detailed description and the name of the game don't matter because I can claim they were vaporware.

If you want to actually leak, say the name of the game or the character. This is allegedly a sequel with a character we would be familiar with. Thus it shouldn't be a big secret that its being developed, no? The game is far enough along to be grinding out a trailer so it should be releasing in the next 12 months...

I'm assuming Osiris will come back with some snarky comments about how he knows all this stuff. I'm just saying, keep your antenna up.

For the life of me, I’ll never understand how people whine about Halo sequels. Each game’s MP is distinct and is some of the best MP around (excluding 4 of course). Even if you’re sick of the campaigns, it has countless hours of fun and variety in the online MP department.

To this day, there’s nothing like it’s MP. From the wonderful times of 8v8 in Valhalla and Sandtrap, to well balanced games on Lockout and Midship to the amazing stuff possible in Forge World. It’s a great time and has aged well.

5 mp was definitely a step in the right direction. Im hoping it continues to get better with Infinite.

I'll partially agree with this. I think the gameplay/mechanics are the best in Halo ever but I wasn't a big fan of the maps. Granted I spent most of my time in Warzone (which I love and hope makes a return with better maps and more features).

5 seems to have a few good ones. Fathom, midship, Molten, and 2 more I don’t remember the names of. But you’re right, a good chunk of them sucked and brought down the experience.

they have the mythic game type with no sprint and it has some quality forge maps on it. I’m hoping Infinite will have no sprint in MP and will have a mix of maps like that and remakes.

Not saying that what Zhuge said was correct but someone needed to call MS out for the lack of 1st Party content at the time.

Ninja Theory buyout already started around E3 2017(things take a while). Phil being an executive was being planned for a while(part of a massive reorganization in Microsoft). Nothing happened in response to his tweet. The low budget was because Xbox was a sub-division of Windows and Devices group led by Terry Myerson unlike Playstation(actual division under Sony). But in 2017 Phil got promoted and became an executive and Xbox became an actual division. This has nothing to with that tweet

He finally says PS5 is better in "other ways" as he "heard from devs", after initially insisting on how there is no raw power difference. He even calls out to people saying XSX is more powerful, saying its because Sony didnt properly explain their specs to people and the ways they are superior to XSX. He even says XSX reveal is like Xbox One reveal and PS5 reveal is like PS4(in what world ?).
So,

1. In most ways like raw power XSX is same as PS5

Tim Dog comes across as such an obnoxious fanboy I have a hard time paying attention to anything he says which if actually has good inside info is unfortunate. Maybe he's not as bad on Twitter, YT or whatever but he was horrible in the Next Gen Spec thread.
