Synopsis is great:

I have no idea why, but hot damn I hope it gets ported to console. Looks fun

I have good news ma pal (As long as you aren't a Switch owner lol), its out on PS4 and Xbox One!

They just announced it during the PC Gaming Show so it seemed like it was exclusive.

If you only have a Switch then its out later in the year, looks fun, don't miss it!

No shit. That's cool. Gives me Friday the 13th vibes (smaller game with simple focus and fun to be had). I might check it out later tonight in that case.

Gameplay videos, rather boring looking tbh. Gamersyde don't sound too impressed either...

even if it's kinda bad I'm still buying it. the question is if it's tokyo jungle or neo aquarium bad or goat simulator bad

Okay, just played the intro and I'm in the first area. Don't want to spoil too much other than what the synopsis says. But yeah you start off once the intro is done as a shark pup.

I'm actually totally cool with the beginning area. Makes it feel like a legit E.V.O. I know from the intro it'll turn into over the top Just Cause X Sharknado, but for now it's actually pretty spiffy in the beginning.

The fighting of other fish is violent, reminds me of playing Ancestors: Humankind Odyssey.

It looks pretty decent on X1X even without 4k/HDR. Water looks nice, and your shark looks pretty awesome.

First area has collectibles (which look like they require Sea World-esque tricks to get), caches, quests, hunts ("named" fish/creatures), and probably a boss I'm guessing.

Your equivalent of detective vision is special bio shark sonar.

Love the trailer :) Funny stuff! I understand you play as the shark? That seems pretty cool, wonder if it feels kinda like Ecco the Dolphin on steroids.

When are the reviews dropping?

By the looks of things, no-one got early review copies. So reviews will be up as soon as someone plays enough of it.

Looks like a relaxing title to play in 30mins chunks and just shut your brain off. Good to pick up on a sale, not for this much tho.

The worst thing i heard is that the game is an absolute cakewalk with 0 challenge at all.

A little sad if true, this make upgrades less meaningfull.

I only played a little bit last night and upgraded from Shark Pup to Teen, doesn't take too long. That's only level 4. Alligators are roaming around that are level 8 and will fuck you up early. I tried killing them and almost died several times.

I really like the look of this game after watching fresh gameplay videos, but the price seems too high. I'll pick it up when it's at half price.

Is it worth 40 bucks?

I don't feel bad buying it on an impulse lockdown buy.

I'd say it's definitely worth playing, just a matter of how long you'd want to wait. If you can wait, do that.

It actually starts off a bit slow, which I actually like since it fits the Jaws kinda thing. Aside from the intro which gives you a taste of what it turns into.

I mean it's a game where you play as a shark and can evolve/upgrade bodyparts. You can 'Knife' just under the water for speed/quick travel and to get away. Can jump out of the water like a dolphin/whale. Grab things in your jaws and shake them to death. It does feel nice, reminds me of older games they used to make when there was more variety.

I know it's too early yet, but I'll leave this here for now to hopefully give it the official seal of approval:

Then fun definitely comes later once you're upgraded and you can breach out of the water like Free Willy with a diver in your jaws then tail slap grand slam him into the Sunset. Yes, you can do that.
