Nice hint. This pretty much what the Crytek guy said about reaching full power. Raw power vs Controlled power. And then the Goku speed talk you can reference it to Cerny preferring faster clocks. From all the tech talks.Apart from the PS5 having new architecture & new way of deigning games. The level of control Sony have over this hardware looks to be phenomenal. It just looks like they can control and regulate everything in their box. A lot of respect will be given back to consoles. Hardware optimisation , Hardware cohesion will be talking points from now on.

People are not even talking about the low latency. Maybe when we see the tear down it will come into discussion.

We should focus more on the studios we don't "see". Visual Arts is one of those not "seen" or talked about enough. Playstation Studios are light years ahead when it comes to game production & studio support. They have so many partners across the world that help in developing the biggest games it is interesting. You only ever find out when you read the credits.

TLOU II is getting glowing previews with much of the praise being directed at improved combat, animations and graphics. June 19 is so near yet so far!

A juicy quote from Metro"

The visuals in The Last Of Us Part 2 are so good you’d at first think it puts a dampener on the PlayStation 5, but if the new console is going to be able to create visuals even more impressive than this – and the Unreal Engine 5 demo already suggests it can – then that’s actually very exciting.

Can't even imagine what they'll be able to do on a PS5, exciting times ahead!

$499 is my guess. The next gen consoles will be pricy, but I agree the value you get is really good. You couldn't put together a PC for $500 that has the same output as the PS5

I am expecting that price as well and personally I am 100% fine with it, with all the tech that is inside that system it is an amazing deal! Hoping they offer a $550-600 model with double the internal storage though, if so I will be jumping all over that!

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!
Requirement of using heat sink and fan is not thermal issue. Thermal issue is throttling under load or overheating of device. What you said now is like saying that car has "power issue" because it require engine.

If there was no heat sink there would be a big problem - that is a “thermal issue”.

Power consumption and heat are the fundamental problem of all machines.

Machines don’t spring into existence with a solution already in place - designers do that job.

Designers start with a problem and then develop a solution, hence all machines - including xsex have to have a solution to that problem. If the problem is not solved correctly, the machine will fail.

Your car analogy is incorrect and unnecessary, and swearing in all caps doesn’t make your incorrect opinion become correct.... just tips so you can be better in future.

You have presented 3 arguments.

2 are fakes. SEE ABOVE!

The other one is ill founded and wrong.
We (you and me) have talked about it in this thread already but today you brought it back and I am not going to repeat myself.

You can spread all the bullshit you want, it is still wrong.

I have been fucking polite in my replies to your FAKE ARGUMENTS but this goodwill is over.

Ok let's relax a bit :messenger_grinning_sweat: , and speaking of that matter:

To improve battery life and help with thermals. To be fair almost all of laptops have bad thermals (ultrabooks just are worst case). Friends HP was so bad, that it could throttle on watching youtube video if cooling system was little bit dusty.
They don't want. They have to which means that new consoles will be over 200W of power. Probably around 250 with 300W absolute maximum.
AMD expects 50% more performance/wat. Not only from less power consumption but also from higher IPC, VRS and other things. New fabrication process will give them only 10% power reduction according to TSMC (that's actually less than I expected), so instead of 250W card now we have 225W one.
Yes I agree in that with you.

Regarding the HP yeah they have years been a disaster in hardware.
