...Because the Orlando nightclub shooting wasn't an ongoing event as E3 was playing out?
What ongoing event is happening right now?

Covid? The show would never happen in the first place until there's a cure.
The officer? He has already been arrested.

To the rest of your post, come up with a better argument instead.

If it was today, The Dark Knight Rises would be delayed or cancelled due to that cinema shootout back in 2012, I’m a 100% sure about it.

How things were simpler not so long ago...

What’s sad about all this is these protests have been about the racism card. Black on white and a cop murdering an innocent black man. But I think it’s going to eventually come out that this wasn’t anything to do with racism.

These two knew eachother for a long time. It was two guys that had a personal vendetta against eachother. I don’t believe this was about racism. But these riots started because the racism card is automatically brought to question because it was a cop against a black man and it was a black on white crime.

That’s the sad thing about these riots. I understand their cause, but this murder I don’t think was about racism. Just two guys in it for eachother. I don’t want to go OT here but I just think that this was totally unnecessary.

A life was lost and it’s tragic, but people are losing lives every single day because of covid. People are murdered every day. But because of this being seen as racism which spiked riots we all are all up in arms on this one. I’m in no way trying to downplay all the bad things happening, but at a time when things are so bad in the world.

Don’t we need to try and look at some good. All we are dealing with is horrible news. Why not keep the event going. Why not try and live our lives again. We can honour the man and the lives lost at this riot. Continuing on with our lives and events is not a disrespect to these victims. Let us just try and move ahead from these horrible time’s. This wasn’t the way.

Do you have a source on this? Because that would be pretty big news in terms of perspective on these events if true. I also dislike that everything in these kind of situations suddenly turn into race exploitation by MSM, but that's to be expected. Hagelian dialectic, black-and-white checkerboard programming, trauma bonding and all that jazz. And it's best way to play idiotic fools off of each other, we've seen enough of that in this thread alone.

But yeah man...got a source or link to the bolded?

What's happening isn't just about the killing of George Floyd though.

That makes no sense whatsoever.

This presentation is 100% online. There is no security reasons for not showing it.

Are they going to delay TLoU 2 because of its ultra violence and realistic depiction of pain and suffering?
No because they would lose money with that, not showing won't make them lose money.
Stocks will still probably be stable and soar after/when they do show, if anything this might make them rise higher.
It's all business in the end and what makes the most sense in that regard or profitable, that's why don't ever cling to a brand.

The inferiority complex some of you have about ResetEra is low-key embarrassing. Like a little brother complex or something. I'm only quoting this post to serve as an example of this very common type of behavior on Gaf. Those of you who do this might think you're having a laugh but what you're really saying is, "Neogaf is a place of rejects ".

In my opinion, it is not. Spend for time focusing on Gaf and what you can contribute to make Gaf a better version of itself and spend less time worrying about what's going on at other sites.
Broh ! It was a joke. I have an account over there, and I'm very active. Hell, much more than here. There is good people there, like here. It's just laughable how that place has become an echo chamber. You CAN'T share your honest opinion without getting banned. And I'm talking about reassonable opinions, and not racist shit. NeoGaf is way superior than RE in that.

Can we count how many Sony published games have a black main lead and how many Sony published game has a white main lead. I can think of one game Starhawk but other than that I'm drawing a blank.

The owner of the nightclub the both of them worked at said said he would not go as far as to say they knew eachother. There's plenty of people who I work with that I don't know or associate with. Them working at the same nightclub means nothing without more evidence.

Never mind the pandemic lol. Thousands of kids die every day just out of birth location/poverty. The world is in a constant state of human despair and tragedy. Big international companies all of a sudden acting like they give a shit and actually getting praise for it just shows how fucking dumb and ignorant the human race is. America got some serious issues right now and props to the local American companies sticking up for civil rights but on a world wide scale its fucking peanuts. (hope this murderous cop and his posse of dicks n cunts get life sentrences. stay safe americans)

Are they going to postpone the Last of Us 2 release? I don't think the current environment makes sense for the release of any highly anticipated games which will take people's minds away from what really matters, this one particular thing that's bad in a world full of bad things. Ghosts of Tsushima in July? Not if Sony has even a shred of sympathy for inequality in the US and in the world.

I also think Sony should pull down the PS store for at least a few days, but hopefully for weeks and months. To allow people to purchase and then, presumably, play games flies in the face of injustices we currently face as humans. People should be out there standing in solidarity with those that care about peace, love, equality and potentially some new sporting equipment, pulled out of a burning DICK's Sporting Goods. At the very least people should be sitting in a room, solemnly contemplating everything they are being funneled by mainstream media and Twitter mobs,

Only then will true change come. It will be a hard road to walk, but we will get there.

I doubt that. Part of the problem is also this police move on the neck.

There are protests happening all around the world, every year.
You know you're setting yourself up with an impossible task, right? Because now I'm going to ask you to list what video game events happened on the dates of what protests of the same scope as this PS5 reveal that can be easily moved to another date because it's a purely digital event.

So please, because you're so knowledgeable on worldly protests & game events, I await your list.

Otherwise just another you made yet another false equivalency.

Yeah Foxnews source. Read it though.

Another layer in the case was revealed on Sunday after Crump said Chauvin must have known Floyd before the incident that resulted in his death because the two worked a nightclub together as recently as last year, its former owner said.

The club owner said she was unsure if Chauvin and Floyd knew each other while they both worked at the same venue.

"[Floyd's] family has been notified by the owner of a club that Derek Chauvin was an off-duty police officer while George Floyd was a security guard. And so they had to overlap,” Crump said on CBS News' "Face The Nation." "That is going to be an interesting aspect to this case and hopefully upgrading these charges to first-degree murder because we believe he knew who George Floyd was."

This adds a whole new angle to the story. Seems to be that the Cop must have had some bad blood with Floyd.

Everybody does understand that man's funeral service is also planned for the fourth right now with that in mind do any of u honestly still think they should still go on with the show at the same time people will be morning the death of the man that started all of this like seriously.

Have I missed some posts? 😂

I don't think you can get banned whatever side of the fence you land on this issue tbh. Unless a post in question is inciting/condoning racism or violence etc of course. 😊

Also way to completely misrepresent what I was saying. I mean, completely

Sony I don't think this is going far enough I think you should postpone everything until we achieve world peace. I mean how can we celebrate anything with so much misery going on in the world. You fucking virtue signaling shitheads.

Let the man's family mourn him in peace and don't use his funeral as a political weapon

PS5 hasn't even released and it's already greatly disappointed me as I was REALLY looking forward to the event but I get it.

This is embarrassing for you.
I don't care where Sony moves their event to.

I was just told "protests happening all around the world, every year" was impossible to find. Which I debunked in less than 5 seconds.

I seen it on some news report. I’ll try and see if I can find it. But it basically said they knew eachother and were bouncers at a club for many years.

Mate it's a joke.

Imagine these companies decided when to do events based on political events in the middle east for example.

No events would ever take place :messenger_grinning_sweat:

They can both acknowledge what is going on at the moment as well as carrying on with the event. It would give everyone an escape, something else for everyone to talk about.
Can't argue with that honestly but it happened. Its not like millions around the world won't be watching

Where are the game events that took place on those dates? You've decided to ignore what I said. Also please tell me how "school strike for climate", for example, are on the same level as yet another black guy getting choked to death by a cop?

Jigsaah Jigsaah ultrazilla ultrazilla Jesb Jesb I appreciate that info. Welp, this might've been a personal beef played out through abuse of power after all. It just might happen to incidentally look racially motivated because of the optics but it seems like that might not've been the case.

Doesn't excuse what the cop did at all, mind; he's an asshole, he knew he was killing the guy at least in some way. But they let personal beef blind them to it and maybe they got the other cops to watch over him for it since they didn't do anything to stop him.

Really the whole situation screams like a complete abuse of power and corruption being at the heart of things, but again due to the optics and the way certain stuff is in society now in terms of social things, most people are turning it into a racial issue (on all sides). This recent case potentially not being racially motivated doesn't mean there aren't cases where police incidents have been racially motivated, but it helps to keep perspective and getting more info like this is useful.

I doubt the media will actually take a look at the scenario from that angle though, doesn't nab enough ratings. And the people who have staked their flags on the hill to make this for or against black people aren't going to care, either. Most of them are stuck in their own ways.

Yet 100 people die daily in Syria during their war and suicide bombers...thats fine but the death of a wannabe rapper, bouncer and gangbanger...that changes everything. OK. You think the UFC will cancel their event on Saturday? Of course they wont. It was supposed to be an international event, theres no audience even. The guys death is tragic but its one death out of 1000s a day.
