My dorm mates and I used to have LAN parties my freshman year and this game was always in the rotation. Such a good time.

Also it still has active multiplayer community though skill bar is so high that i don't even bother with it XD

Thanks man! Will def pick this up!

I love the first track on here, including the crazy out of nowhere beginning lol

I remeber when this was first announced...3D rts! It looked so badass, think you needed a beefy PC to play it as well lol. Ahhh good times.

I've never played it, but reading the reviews of some people who still consider it the best RTS ever made (even though it's not my favorite genre) along with learning from Dontero Dontero that the score is from Jeremy Soule (and maybe his best? :messenger_open_mouth: ) has made me a pretty excited to get it.

Few caveats:

- it is old game so you should expect technical issues like low resolution there is mod that fixes resolution but game is 2D so it makes everything small. Imho just stick to low resolution.
- true fun of game is not imminently seen. Starts as normal rts but what divides it from rest is scale and how units react in mechanical way. Every projectile is real thing, there are cannons that can shoot at other side of map, warships that lie waste to everything etc.
- and yes soundtrack is fucking amazing and it fits game so well that it is hard to not appreciate it.

It's definitely some of Soule's best. The original release was actually pretty neat in that if you put the disks inside a CD player it will play the soundtrack. I remember doing homework while listening to it on a discman.

Dont forget to do the !dither command. It turns the fog of war to shadow of war. Much much nicer.

TA was I believe the first RTS that had elevated maps that had effect wether you are on top of a hill or down at the bottom when fireing at the enemy.

They should do a deeplearning gan resolution upscale mod. Like they did for ffvii.
