In this case, I think we're seeing a difference in perception of what people mean when they say "neutral".

Meaning 1: I like all platforms equally or own all platforms.

Meaning 2: I prefer specific platforms, but I will do my best to praise each platform when praise is due, and criticize each platform when appropriate, without going too negative or positive based on nothing more than feelings.

Ideally we would all like number 2 to be the case but like Fake Fake mentioned who and how the hell do you decide what is too negative or too positive? It's an impossible task. As long as people aren't clearly trolling and/or making up bullshit to get their points across then nobody should have an issue with whatever is being said or being talked about.

Well his profile says Vetted
So
I'll ask again
Who the fuck is this dude and why should I care?
What's his accreditations?
What's his experience?
Does he have a name?
Is he made of flesh?
Is he a cat with a mind control helmet on a human puppet?
Does his flatulence fuel cold fusion reactors?

I joking about the tag. I don't know. Thats why I said 'yes and no'.

Lol alright; I'm just fucking confused on what's the hub bub from a dude that has "Vetted," in his profile
Cool, the mods threw this dude a status at one point; maybe he was working on a game in some ancillary way at some point

Shit got REAL weird over some dude with a status attached to a forum account

As someone who is as also in IT, Artists know more about software they use and specialize in than I ever will.
Sure, software for creating models and stuff, I'll give you that myself with the limited dumb shit I've has to do with it (Some shit is able to run over RDP these days, it's fucking crazy)

I don't really think they do fuck all with the rest of the engine and workings of the system; they're artists, they create affects, why would they need to know what level rendering happens, what bus the SSD is being streamed over, and how the system may implement piracy checks in different parts and such and that may affect over all RL performance, etc
Something isn't right, they'll be told to rework it, and that's it. It's completely not necessary for the job

Which is why even the most accredited VFX school doesn't list their shit as a tech degree, but as an art degree
https://www.gnomon.edu/academics/digital-production-bfa (Make sure to hit the game production addon)
Nothing in there screams to me as in depth tech learning

We want solid answers on numbers; we talk with devs and the hw manu, not artists

What you are describing it far too much of a blanket picture. Maybe in the very large studios you could liken it to being more driven like that but most studios are 100 people with artists and programmers doing both.
