Metoo effect on relationships.

Since the beginning of the Metoo movement there has been a move from going after real rapists and preditors like Weinstein, to people going after guys who date or sleep with someone lower in the corporate structure at work, or older guys sleeping with younger women (not pedo).
If a man and a woman get drunk and sleep with each other, the guy is facing rape charges, because drunk women cant give consent.

For years feminists have told us that women are just as capable as men from a mental and maturity basis. They have told us that women shouldn't be slut shamed. They told us that it is a woman's right to sell sex for money or favours. That if a woman wants to sleep with a guy to get a job or promotion, thats her right.
Sex has been pushed from an intimate thing between two people in love, to a random thing that hold no value other than having a good time.

Now things have changed.
Those rules are no longer in play.
Men now are predatory. Women arnt capable mentally to make an informed choice to sleep with her boss, or bang an older guy, or to say no of they dont want it.
This new regime has pushed feminism back 50 years.
If 18 yo girls dont have the mental ability or maturity to say no to a guy who asks for sex, then admit it and raise the age of consent for girls to 21.
If women arnt able to consent if they are drunk, then neither can men. Start charging drunk women for rape if a guy is drunk as well.

A friend of mines wife left him, and in her statement to the police to get him removed from the house, she said that during their relationship a number of times he nagged her for sex and she gave in to keep him off her back, and another thing she said was that he asked her to do anal and keep asking and she eventually agreed to it to keep him happy.
This was taken by the police as domestic violence as he had coerced her to have sex, which is basically rape even though she consented.

All men hate rapists. We have mothers, sisters, cousins, daughters and girlfriends that we want protected from predators.

Its gone the point of sanity.
There is a reality. Sometimes you do things you regret. You drink too much, end up in bed with someone, and have to do the walk of shame.
Sometimes you date someone who turns out to be a dick or bitch, and you regret going out with them. You have a threesome, and feel bad about it afterwards. It happens to all of us. We learn from our mistakes.
But now it appears men must pay the price for these mistakes.
Regrets now mean it shouldn't of happened, and the man must be the perpetrator.

Wrong section.

But I mean yeah, this is all true and unfortunate, but find the right woman (most women) and you'll find she thinks all this is just as idiotic as you do.

The media and social media make the group of people who think like that seem much bigger and much more important than they are, and so we all cower in fear of them. But in reality the ones who truly believe it (as opposed to public personalities exploiting the current climate) are usually sad people who cling to anything they can to blame their troubles and failures on other than themselves.

Yeah, most womans I know think modern feminism is problematic.

I'm not sure where you've been working, but where I've been working it was already a big no-no to date someone who you're in charge of in the corporate structure long before metoo happened. I guess the US is just playing catch-up?

Now things have changed.

You're being dramatic for effect I guess, but there's still plenty normal women out there. It's really easy to spot the weird ones, just ask if they have twitter. If the answer is yes: :

...ok first you can just check what she's posting, but serious red flags should be fairly easy to spot.

a) the age of consent is vastly different, a quick look at wikipedia told me that even within the US it's already ranging from 16 to 21
b) if the man takes the "no" for an answer and accepts it that's the end of it. Unfortunately there's enough creeps who take a "no" as motivation to try harder.

If women arnt able to consent if they are drunk, then neither can men. Start charging drunk women for rape if a guy is drunk as well.
Men can be raped as well, wasn't there a high profile cases recently in the UK? I doubt that no rape charge exists in the US just because the victim is a man?

You have a threesome, and feel bad about it afterwards. It happens to all of us.
No it doesn't. And your examples are oddly specific lol but happy for you that you had a threesome.

But now it appears men must pay the price for these mistakes.
I don't know what exact corner of the world you've been growing up in, but where I grew up actions always had consequences. I'm amazed that you managed to get by in a place where you can do what you want without any fear of consequence or repercussions.

MeToo made laws that carried no prison time into class A misdemeanors. It made people be even more critical of men and removed the benefit of doubt from our justice system. It made many shitty people make false accusations and for the most part hurt gender relationships in just about everywhere in the US. Horrible, agenda driven movement that had nothing to do with the big wigs at pedo wood and more about how shit men are suppose to be.

That being said don't go looking for trouble or hooking up with younger women. Specially at work.

Why should it be? If two people want to have a relationship, and they are both consenting, then who are we to say they can't?
We arnt talking about a boss telling his secretary that if she blows him she will get a pay rise. We are talking about consential relationships.

Yes there are plenty of normal women.
Thats not the point. The point is that when these things get out in public, guys lives get ruined.
I know of a couple of vocalists in bands right now who are being crucified on Twitter and got thrown out of bands because some 19 yo old groupie who they slept with, got their feeling hurt that the dude didn't want them for anything other than a one night stand. That is now considered a power imbalance because he has status and somehow the girl was star struck and he took advantage of that.

Yep creeps exist. Always have done, always will do.

The point is this.
If two adults get drunk, and sleep with each other, it is now excepted that the woman could not give concent.
"You cannot consent to sex if you are asleep, unconscious, drunk, or affected by drugs (it doesn’t matter if the drugs are legal or illegal)."
If the male is also drunk, that doesn't matter. He is still a racist.
If a woman gets into a car drunk and drives however, she is still responsible for that action and is prosecuted. Its only sex that she has no responsibility for.
And I'm not talking about women getting date raped, or having their drinks spiked. That shit is rape.

The rules have always been around men protecting women in some form or another.
The rules change from time to time but the base element will always remain.
Progressives complain that we need to be more progressive and move past these stereotypes but it will only change it's shape.

If a man and a woman get drunk and sleep with each other, the guy is facing rape charges, because drunk women cant give consent.
Your point exactly.
The rule implies that the man cannot make a drunk mistake by sleeping with the women. It also imply that women have no self control whilst intoxicated.

Honestly i'm fine with the whole men protect women BS. Men got sent to war and women stay home to make the shells. No government is worth dying for in my inexperienced opinion.

Men are disposable,
Women are objectified.
You choose which one is worse.
Either way i don't think it will ever change.

Drunk ramblings.

shouldn't of
oh god this is worse than actual rape

Seriously though, this has been going on for years and we just keep sliding further and further from reality. A man has to do all the initiating, but he's also a rapist if she regrets it later or if he breaks up with her and finds a new woman and lives a happy life and she finds herself jealous. All she has to do is send out a single tweet to ruin his life.

Look this country is totally backwards and is genuinely spiraling out of control. Justice is a thing of the past. They're tearing down statues of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson while trying to repeal civil right in California. Watch your back and be extremely careful who you associate with. That's all we can do. There is no rationality that can make things better on a broad level now. Just play your games and keep your head down.

While this is in the wrong section, I will say that the majority don't follow most of these twitter movements. Most people know all of this stuff that you listed and go on with their lives, and don't turn to social media to accuse anybody. I really only see this when it comes to people who gain popularity or $$$$$$$$$$$$. The real world doesn't give a damn about any of this stuff. Honestly if you think the world is ending and all this SJW stuff is ruining the world then I would ask that you look around your own life and see how many women/men have ruined each others lives with all this stuff. Take a step back and go outside from time to time.

Of course Rape allegations should be taken seriously and people can be really shitty, whether it be women or a man.

Yes me too.

Also I've been in a few non-encouraged sexual situations that I'm sure would constitute sexual assault if the shoe was on the other foot. I remember once some girl trying really hard to get my dong out in the middle of a club (iffy but it mostly makes me laugh because I tricked her into meeting me somewhere else and then went to find my friends instead). Another time where I passed out and this weird girl started getting a little too comfortable with my face (this one actually bothers me because all I remember is throwing her off of it).

So yeah, #metoo I guess.
