I mean, I have colleagues numbers in my phone and I'd never message them outside of a business contex because we don't have a personal relationship.
On the other hand I have colleagues who are close friends and we will message back and forth all the time and the content will not be strictly business.
So it makes a difference if these messages are coworker to coworker unsolicited or friend to friend.

I know it's easy to joke about people being incels or virgins or whatever but sometimes you see situations like this and you wonder if the people leading the conversation have actually ever been in a serious relationship or have ever been in the early stages of an intense fling or friends with benefits situation.

Well, there is still new Pathfinder game with his writing coming out and it's made here in Russia, so very little chance of this affecting his contribution to the game.

Nope. Literally everyone i talk to treats western Europe and US stuff like some sort of circus. We also have about 10 guys in work from France, UK and Germany and they all pretty much say they don't plan coming back because that idiocy scares them and shit here is normal.
Though i don't think it will be long time before something changes. I fully expect ochocracy in western europe and US in next 10-20 years. US kind of already is doing that with whole riots right now though only in parts of nation.

I don't want my potential content getting snipped and cancelled and adjusted mid-development because some self-entitled zealots. Companies have shown themselves to be spineless.
In the past, I viewed this as largely a moral / principled stand. Game devs are allowed to stand up for whatever causes they believe in. Not a big deal. Didn't bother me.
But now it is tipping so far past that threshold, buying products from these brands seems like disappointment and broken promises waiting to happen. The game industry is more than just a collection of IPs. It's a market of talented artists, designers, and writers. When talent gets jettisoned from the industry due to slander, it's time to stop buying.
Feel free to continue listening to non-customers, videogame industry.
