I think that might be the case. The key word in their twitter account is "code name - Brime" so if we take the "code name" part, Brime might be just a placeholder to hype something else.
Quite a few streamers seem adamant something is going to happen tomorrow/today. It will be interesting to see.

maybe streamers are going to start there own platform i could see that.

Maybe even ninja that funds it.

Yeah the main IP is "owned" by this Amazon server, not the URL. The wording is a bit shitty.

Why are people trying to flee fro twitch?

well, you do know the main reason

SJW bullshit aside

But you choose to ignore that.

cause the masses don't give a shit.

The masses? general public? They don't give a shit about streaming full stop so there's no need to consider someone that has no idea you even exist and if they did are not going to watch people play games.

I'm fairly confident and someone who knows more about the streaming audience is welcome to correct me that the actual audience for gaming streamers is rather narrow. That's not to say the numbers are low but the demographic isn't going to include older people and non gamers.

So you've got a medium for people that want to watch other people play games, then have it taken over by SJW pandering and boobie streamers who can flaunt the rules as much as their wardrobe malfunctions. How about a platform that is back to basics servinge the core audience of dudes playing games with bants?

Fuck off SJW's and Boobie streamers, you stay on Twitch. We're going to bulid our own streaming service with Blackjack and Hookers.

Twitch has 1,3 MILLION viewers just this moment and around 2,2 MILLION daily. Do you really think millions upon millions give a shit about our little internetgamingforum-Drama? No...no they dont. This whole SJW vs Redneck / left vs right / whatever vs whoever is mostly happening in a very isolated group of people who frequent these forums, reddit or twitter. and those are in the absolute minority in terms of people who are gaming. So no, i dont think any of this SJW is really affecting the audience as a whole or succesfull streamers in generel. So its either a LOT of money again or something new and interesting.

I guess it has something to do with their rules. They are vague and if they don't like you, you can basically be banned for even the tiniest misbehaving. I sure would feel uncomfortable as hell if my main source of income depends on and comes from a partner that unreliable.
Those rules are mostly for little streamers. the whales have different rules, just like in real life ;) and they got rich and famous even with the erratic behaviour of twitch. i dont see a reason why it wouldnt work out in the future.

Numbers that small mean nothing on a cultural level, it's free to watch those guys. Add just the lowest amount of entry fee subscrition and watch that small number fall.

100 million are estimated to have watched Avengers Endgame at release, what's that number at now?

It's just a profitable niche and currently not culturally significant.

in 2017 they averaged 15 Million unique Users per day. Seeing that the service exploded further since then I'd not be surprised if they are closer to 30-50Mio now.

That's more like it, what was that guy quoting 1-2 million daily like is was a fact?

i spoke about CONCURRENT viewers. here is my source: https://twitchtracker.com/statistics
The 2,2 is the median. They go well above 3 Million concurrent.

You are arguing for me, not against me. The more people involved, the less they care about SJW or other drama. They just want to watch streams. If one streamer gets banned, they just switch to the next.

This btw is a very important point that Shroud and Ninja proved. When they left the platform, most people stayed. You don't watch one streamer, you watch a personal collection. If one TV channel moves to a totally different device you'll just stick to the remaining ones.

I'm not sure why. I know they get mad at the way they handle bans and stuff, but its not always cut and dry. And probably can make more money without a middleman? I dunno.

But building the infrastructur without a middleman is insanly difficult. ill be really dissapointed if its just some sexual shit and not this exciting new (and maybe dumb) business endevor :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Very hyped to see what URL I need to type in to see my favorite internet personalities sit at their computers and play video games.
Watching people having fun is the biggest entertainment industry already. At least here they don't need to get naked and people watching can have the same experience at home for only 60 bucks.

Well we don’t need your money because we have more than Microsoft, also this is a parody site you dingle and is 100% satire. If you really want your dollars to go to the future of tech here are some places to spend your money.

Also, this site has no association to @WatchBrime idk what they are all doing.

watchbrime has nothing to do with them.

They probably don't like the idea of the Sword of Damocles constantly dangling over head. As you said, people don't tend to follow across platforms, but I guess they figure retain a portion of their following when moving is better than losing all of it if they get shut down.

I personally think the only thing that makes sense is Twitch being alerted to something illegal. If that occurred they'd likely simultaneously cut ties with him and contact the police. It also fits why they aren't telling him.

I hope it's not that; but this "he's leaving for another platform" thing just doesn't make sense. Twitch would probably do everything in their power to stop that, would milk his subs for as long as possible, etc. Not mysteriously cut ties / refund everyone.

And why would company's that still advertise with him like Razer or Roccat not be in the know about it? If Twtich has information about an ongoing criminal investigation I have a hard time believing that they haven't.

I mean.. why would they know? If Twitch reported something to the Police last Friday, that wouldn't be public information until either the Police decided to announce an investigation or perform an arrest.

So they would act upon some rumour or story that has been handed to them by someone? I mean I definitely could see twitch simp staff believing one of their thots without questions asked or proof.

If it's just business then both Twitch and Doc could part company and wish each other well (even if they didn't mean it) couldn't they?

It's just that Twitch is just behaving like they're trying get a high explosive bomb out of their house before it blows.

I'm just saying it fits; how much evidence they might have acted upon if it is something involving law enforcement is separate from that.

My point being police investigations happen before the accused ever knows about it. People kept saying it can't be anything involving LE because "he'd be arrested" but that's not how it works most of the time.

It's also possible Twitch was contacted by the Police without Dr. D knowing about it. The accused is often the last person to find out they are being investigated, for good reason.
