So does this mean that Halo Infinite will only be launching with single player this fall?. Will the multiplayer be its own launch later? Also, on Xbox, free to play games like COD Warzone currently require Xbox Live Gold, so they will definitely need to drop that requirement.

You know.. all of the sudden, I just remembered how in Red Dead Redemption 2 while riding a horse, I could press a button and have a zoomed out, no hud, cinematic view with multiple camera angles as the character rides the horse. It was a horse on auto-pilot, but.. I wonder if it was 1:1 graphics fidelity as the game scene being taken control of instantly. If so, .. well.. maybe that's like this.. only, this game doesn't likely do that.

In engine cut scenes have been great because they do allow seamless transition from gameplay to cut scene and back again. But they are of a higher quality. I'm hoping that ps4 cut scene becomes ps5 gameplay, that for me would be a worthy jump in quality.

Look at the screenshot I took of the cinematics.
Notice how the hair shading has 3 lobes: 1 diffuse lobe, and 2 specular lobes. The shading looks a lot more varied and natural. In the gameplay it looks like they painted in the specular terms and only use diffuse for the hair as the highlights are always at the tips (which is not correct) no matter what angle the sun hits it.
Btw, I just want to note that games don't render actual hair curves. They are a clump of plane strips that are semi-transparent. It's far more efficient to render this than actual geometry individual hair strands.
That cinematic is flawless, but HFW has some flaws when zoomed in which is running in real time:
800% zoom, you can't see that in native 4K as 800% means 16K.
Geometry Engines working their magic, it's laughable to question it after we saw this gameplay.
It's outrageous to compare to PS4 instead of actual evidence of gameplay running on PS5 doing even much more easily. Stop acting smart because you are intentionally misleading and spreading FUD.

You know Microsoft's definition of a FTP game is different from Sonys.
But I can see them dripping the gold requirement for FTP games but I can't see them dropping it for all games.

The crossfire X trailer at the Xbox event had two disclaimers, one was that the single player would be sold separately and the other was that you needed an Xbox Live Gold subscription to play online.

Curious if they made this change what happens to everyone who has pre-purchased Gold for up to 3 years? Refunds?

If they drop Gold entirely and all online is free it will cause a shockwave in the industry. Considering they have what? Over 30 million subscribers? That would be a monumental loss of revenue overnight, so it would be pretty insane.
