PC gamers take credit for mouse/keyboard hardware superiority as their personal gaming skill. It's fucking odd.

Also, I'm disturbed that PC gamers are the only gaming subset that embracess vile 'master race' mentality and labels. Gross.

PC gamers may just be the most annoying fanbase out there. To them every gaming discussion comes back to 'PC is better'.

The '' Master Race '' term specifically I think is more of a PC thing, but the overall attitude I'd say is more widespread with the PS4 at least in my experience.
I don't honestly see a lot of unironic '' PC Master Race '' shenanigans in most cases it's a joke.
I mean have you seen the icon for it? It's a meme.
I even do it sometimes just to trigger console players when they argue with each other about which console is the best, I am not being serious about.

In regards to mouse/ keyboard it's undeniable that it's better for certain genres but most would agree that a controller is better for other genres like action games.
That's not to say that you can't play FPS with a controller I actually mostly play them with a controller on PC because I find it more relaxing and most importantly easier on my wrists ( and I often outplay people still, but that's because a lot of people are bad ).
I tried Dark Souls with mouse/ keyboard too and it was ass.

The AI autopilot fighter jet wins against a human pilot every time.

Doesn't make me a better pilot cause I have the superior hardware.

Mouse/keyboard is point and shoot. If you're coordinated enough to navigate your windows background, you have what it takes to game on PC.

Sony first party games are vastly overrated by critics and fans. Outside of a select few like TLOU and Bloodborne they’re good but not great games.

The same goes for the their visuals. They look great don’t get me wrong but some talk about them like they’re untouchable when in fact a lot of AAA third party games look at least as good if not better on PC.

I like games nobody else likes or doesn't know about like Witch and The Hundred Knight.

Inti Creates is one of the best small devs out there.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon is the best new IP in the past five years. CotM should become a franchise but go for a more traditional 16-bit/32-bit 2D look ala Symphony of the Night.

Nintendo is one of the best 1st party out there and they are innovative. The Switch is amazing and I say this as somebody who used to hate anything Nintendo after SNES.

Console Wars are low functioning autism. All the consoles are great and all have pros and cons.

I welcome more official Call of Cthulhu games.

Prey 2006 was underrated and we were robbed out of Prey 2.

Arkane should make Arx Fatalis 2.

What's not fun is when you take a shit and a dingleberry gets caught in the strands of your ass hairs like it was a net.

I hate remakes and reboots.... mostly.... but I wouldn't be entirely against a Blood Omen remake as the game hasn't aged well and some things don't make sense when the sequels come into play, i.e. the Spirit Forges.

Legacy of Kain should get sequels. I'd be open to a reboot if it were to be a "soft" or an in-continuity reboot using time travel. Think how Star Trek 2009 did it.

Yeah, no. Go with this mentality and you'll just get your ass handed to you by some guy bunnyhoppin' everywhere and appearing behind you seemingly out of thin air.

rofl, you can't make this shit up...bunny hopping? you mean the biggest button on your keyboard?

ill do you one better, double shot ak47 chest->head every time

point->shoot....jesus christ, DKC is harder than your average PC game, and it's a dumb nintendo platformer for kids

Bunnyhopping isn't just pressing space mate

Also, if you think pointing and shooting is easy, do the following experiment:
Chose a small point in your screen (in the corners don't count btw) and try to move your cursor over as quickly as possible (less than 0.5s quickly) and immediatly stop it right above. You'll be missing the mark most of the times, needing 2 or 3 extra movements before getting it right. Its just a matter of extra miliseconds but thats enough to get you killed in a match.

Now imagine that on top of that, the point you chose is moving erratically all over the place, and that you too need to be moving erratically to avoid getting shot yourself. Its not really simple, and if you say it is you either never tried playing competitive shooters on a PC or you're being disingenuous or you're some sort of genious of motor control.

rofl, i played CS from beta (did you know there were turrets?) to source, but thanks for the lesson

i would also like to say, i can point and shoot .001 nanoseconds faster than you which is 1/14627th of my [breath] 120hz display

i can feel the difference in frame time like [wheeez] luke skywalker detects his father anikan [snort] vader [snort]

so don't talk to be about skill, "bro", or i will be forced to slam my maw on the spacebar jump at you from below 50 ping haha!

i make fun of everyone, and nobody cries like pcguy

ad hominem attacks...classic

try to be more clever with them, like:

PCgamer is like that movie revenge of the nerds.

...we used to think the nerds were the protagonists, smart guys with glasses get the girl?

...when in reality that dude pretended to be someone else and raped his girl.

yeah, creepy movie

Console wars are a product of the low incomes of the people who participate, not large differences in the gaming experience between Xbox and Playstation.

If they had enough money to comfortably afford both, they wouldn't feel the need to childishly defend and be a cheerleader for either and might be able to offer a more thoughtful and objective opinion of current events in the videogame world. Sadly their low incomes make them have a stake in the only console they can purchase and their general malnourishment deprives their brains of the proper nutrients which leads to a surplus of brainless console warring. But, as with life outside of videogames, they seem content in this poverty as long as they feel their side is "winning." The sad truth is that there are multiple alternatives that are superior to both.

Lately the PC is my main platform but all I do is play fighters and emulators with controllers. I don't even touch the mouse and keyboard. I hate gaming with a keyboard (except for old stuff like Doom and Wolfenstein) - the master race mentality is fucking ridiculous, I agree wholeheartedly.

You are 100% right. This tribe/sports team mentality among console owners is pathetic.

I'm not in the best position financially in my life (I was able to own all consoles in generations prior to this one though) but even though I have this situation where I'm not currently able to own them all, I still appreciate every platform and they all have their strengths and weaknesses. People who tie their identity to brands are really dumb.
