How dare you not make the tag line for the OT "So here I am, doing everything i can.."

(Great OT, I had a bunch of questions coming into the thread and you answered them all)

Sadly, it's EGS only for a year, so I'll see you guys next Sept. Fuck Epic. Game looks fun, and much better than the last attempt to reignite the franchise.

Are there any pictures of the outfits you get with the Digital Deluxe Edition? I kind of want to see what I'm paying for.
There's a big spoiler in the video below regarding a secret skater. If you don't want to hear it, stop watching after the outfits are shown.

[edit] Keep in mind you apparently also get some create a skater items and another bonus skater, neither of which has been seen just yet.

TH is just legend , and after i saw interviews with him its even more imporessive. i never needed hyper realistic skateboard game , that balance must be good. . just something like this its enough it must be fun and pretty real enough too. not many games can give that

I love this series, and I've been very involved with it (I made maps for Thug Pro, pc mod), but I'm going to pass on this, I do not agree with the epic exclusivities.
Maybe when it comes to steam.
It does look cool though, visuals are nice, however I also don't really want to go back to pre underground gameplay, I really liked being able to get off the board at least.

I'm sure i this sells well, we will see more collections in the future. I actually wish this release had a purist mode and didn't include some of the combo linking tricks found in later entries.

I was gonna say Zebrahead is an original artist not new one. But they were in THPS3. So yea they are new in these games. I love them.

Not sure if you already knew this, but there's a bulit-in setting to limit the moveset to THPS1 or THPS2. What isn't known yet is if those settings will be available online, if there will be separate leaderboards for classic settings, or if there will be optional original goals to go along with those movesets. Either way, it's nice that the feature is being included in some form.

I've always liked both kids of games (just like how I enjoyed SSX and Amped back in the day) - there's room for both. I don't have much of an issue with them updating with the linking tricks, etc., as I always have Skate 3 if I want something more grounded, but I can understand people preferring the opposite.

Some interesting news today as the game has already seen a couple of updates, and patch notes can be found directly on the PlayStation menus.

What changed? Online functionality has been enabled, with support for multiplayer parties of up to eight people for casual or competitive modes.

Even better, it seems the developers are already listening to the community. "VO celebration on large combos" has been reduced, meaning while you should get an occasional "wooohooo!," when using a special move, you shouldn't be hearing a continual series of them just because you're good enough to string a ton of special moves throughout your combos.

The developers have also fixed some potential game exploits found in the demo. Before, you only had to earn about 250,000 in a single combo and quit your run to receive the maximum amount of XP that you could earn. Now shorter runs will be given reduced XP gains. The developers also "added a slight balance penalty to short hop special moves," or something like that. My guess is that was done to prevent players from standing in place and repeatedly doing special manuals.

It all sounds good to me. And again, it's nice to see they're already listening to feedback.

Not interested in another launcher, so next year it is. Hopefully with a sale, as they took a payoff in the first place.
