I love all the reactions to playing a bunch of old ass games in EA'S vault.
"Microsoft is killing it", Gamepass isn't legal.
Sure what ever floats your boat. If you want to play their games with all the MT bullshit like Battlefront 2, BFV, and last years fifa/madden.
I mean to have access at no added cost is great.
But these are all vault games. Not like your getting new stuff that will have a player base.
Player base for a lot of the older shooters are dead.

Sure, but once EA starts seeing the large engagement increase in their PLAY service they very well may work a deal with MS to upgrade it to Pro for free or even a small upgrade fee to GPU customers. This is just the first step.

Everyone needs to understand what EA PLAY is. There's two tiers.
EA PLAY and EA PLAY pro.
You are an idiot if you think your going to see day to date the new Fifa or Madden on Gamepass/EA PLAY. Madden and Fifa are really the only two in town for their sports. Madden alone being day to date would cost Billions on it's own.
only way this would happen if Gamepass went up a substantial amount in what they charged per month.
And right now thats not happening and I doubt EA would want to risk the revenue loss.
Go look up where EA'S bread and butter every year is for their quarterly. Most of it comes from those two titles.

Awesome! I do EA Access for $30/yr. Since I did the $1 GPU thing a year ago, my GPU expires in 2 more years. And just by luck, my EA sub plan ends in a month.
So basically 2 years of free EA Access for me.
For those of you who don't do it, it's not just about old sports and shooters. There's lots of classic games, all the ME and Dragon Age games, and many nice 360 games like Dead Space and puzzle games.
Since EA Access has all the old sports games, now you're getting all of the older ones available. So for you sports gamers who don't want to pay for the new one and don't get around to or want to buy last year's game for $9.99, now the games all just there anyway. So if you think your fam might dabble with football or hockey here and there just download Madden and NHL 20 and leave it on your HDD.

Xbox just released a new Xbox All Access trailer in which it states that they are going to include EA Play soon in GamePass Ultimate. Xbox at this point is just going for the jugular with the offers they are laying out to customers.
Series S/X + GamePass Ultimate(+ Xcloud) + EA Play for a rumored $25/$35 is just unbelievable value. The amount of content you will have access to is mind boggling they are trying to completely change the game by craming as much value as they can at as low of a entry point imaginable.

Game Pass is already getting a good reputation as "the Netflix of gaming", even among the normies. You better believe that when the time comes to buy little Johnny the new game system this Christmas, there will absolutely be people who change console allegiances because of this. Game Pass will be a deciding factor for some people on which console to buy - do you get the one that costs $500 and comes with no games (which are $60-$70 each) or do you buy the $300 console that comes with six months of Game Pass included that has hundreds of games and only costs $10/month after that.

People must be really stupid if they think they get EA PLAY PRO which alone costs 15 dollars per month.
What you get is EA PLAY which is the vault (60 games) and 10 hour trails for new games (Madden, FIFA etc). You also get other stuff, like discounts if you buy EA games.
The price for EA PLAY is 5 dollar per months and you get that for free. Pretty good deal.

Yes, it does that trailer just came out it was first announced with All Access but a separate GPU trailer released that I posted. The title should probably be changed to reflect that as well.

Ive paid for ea play for a while and i like it. Im not the type to rush out and buy fifa, madden, or nhl on launch but i do enjoy playing them so getting them towards the end of their respective seasons is fine. I just like the option of opening the app and seeing the selection to pick from

Honestly Microsoft is doing the best they possibly can to come back from the One's ho-hum generation. Kudos to them, it's already looking like it's going to be a better gen for them than the last, but we'll see how it pans out. I'd just love to see some good competition for Sony and Microsoft. Even if their approach is different.

Even though most EA games are garbage, this is a pretty solid move to attract casuals who play only Star wars, battlefield, FIFA, etc.
Most players does not even know or care how garbage the XSS hardware is, just like the PS2 era.
If you look at Steam hardware stats, most people with discrete graphics have a 1060 or 1050, those two cards are not even the best price/perf ones.

Would be huge actually if EA were to offer the next generation versions of the major franchises (FIFA, Madden...), but I do not think that that would ever happen. Still, great value no matter what you personally think of the catalogue.
