They are as clear as they were ever going to get. They playtested the top 100 PS4 games and they work. Every other PS4 game "should" work, but they are not going to guarantee all of them.
That's how BC had always been like since the dawn of time. Literally nothing ever, offer 100% compatibility. And the financial costs to come close to that is unreasonable. PS5 would run PS4 games about as well as anyone expect it to run. No more and no less.
You would only expect more than that, if you never experienced Backwards compatibility with any other console before.
EDIT: Unless you were expecting PS3 emulation? Well, if they could get it to work it would be nice. But i don't expect it.

Internally delayed, yet again... For whatever reasons. I asked, about 2 weeks ago, but my friend knows nothing.
My guess is either optimization hell (frame pacing + covid) or Bamco sitting on it waiting for the most profitable moment to release it.
I wouldn't expect news at a Sony event (unless the marketing deal with MS expired and Sony used some of those 750m to steal the renewal from MS, but I doubt it, Sony doesn't seem interested in marketing deals with no exclusive content, temporary or not.)

Covid probably accidentally raised security. Everyone is only ever where they need to be, everyone else stays home. And gathering of people are at a minimum. Chinese Factories are not going to let people come and go as they please either, you had to go through temp checks and there are staff maximum quotas per building.
I genuinely believe Xbox is leaking like a sieve because Xbox wanted it that way. Pity it didn't work out for them.

Either they're just terrible at keeping things quiet or it was intentional. The optimist in me wants to believe it's the former, the cynic in me thinks they had nothing worth talking about game-wise and decided it would look weird to have another event just for the price so they just leaked it instead.
