So happy with the pricing, demon souls looks pure next gen, Disappointing to see Miles Morales and HFW is cross gen and DS on fucking PC, those PCMR will never gonna stfu, fuck u Sony. Who knows what PS games gonna end up again on PC in the future. I buy consoles for fucking exclusive, that's why i have Playstation and Nintendo. Jim Ryan really gonna fuck up New Gen.

Edit: thank goodness, DS is PS exclusive

Wow. I thought you were planning on the PS5 as well before. What made your decision on this, if you don't mind me asking? Going PC due to the new Nvidia cards or something? I've thought of doing PC before myself, but I like the ease and laziness of consoles, plus....all the exclusives have made me stick with consoles and Sony as well. I don't see that everything is going to be going to PC even now...so that's not an option for me as I want to be able to play the exclusives. Anyway, curious on the reasoning if you feel like sharing.

This is the biggest way i see cross-gen holding it back. Hopefully they've found a way around it. I.E. making flight much slower on PS4, or making the aerial LOD just kind of shit. They can do that now without fear of backlash as people know PS4 is not their target hardware

And do they have options to actually GET the unit at your door on November 12, or does it not mention that kind of thing?

so has anyone managed to figure out what the go is with upgrading the ps5 storage from its shitty 700-800 mb drive?

Cheapest 2tb SSD i can see is around $200 USD and it goes up from there

The 3080 card just looks to push games to 4K 144hz with some compromises.

I am still a Sony fan and may get one eventually but since my 30 year old son went full Xbox and he doesn’t enjoy cross play I will probably get the XsX just for that reason.

The Sony 3td party exclusives didn’t interest me a lot and I think there is another one they haven’t mentioned yet.

So I'm confused (or maybe Sony is). We got those notices earlier to 'sign up' for the CHANCE to pre-order a PS5. It was presented like only those INVITED would be able to pre-order, at least earlier than normal. This makes no sense for Sony as a main strategy as cutting off their vendors and 3rd party stores would be dumb, so I assumed it meant those folks would be able to order a bit earlier and get the PS5 sent to them for a November 12 delivery date. Cool!

But...the way it looks now..you can pre-order from Gamestop and other places starting tomorrow. So what use at all was this "invitation" to pre-order a PS5? Am I missing something or was Sony itself perhaps confused- maybe was planning something different early on and just didn't stop all the notifications from going out when plans changed?

Also, has anyone ever pre-ordered a system from Amazon before? If so, are they good about getting the product to your door on the release date or do they just SHIP it on the release date?

Wasn't their pre-order for going directly through them? I pre-ordered PS4 from Amazon... it took 2 months... I got it free plus a credit on my account on top of it as a result

Every console I got from Amazon was release day delivery.

As for Sony emails the reasoning is those ppl tht hit the emails font have to fight it out here online and are guaranteed a pre order. Those big corporate stores are just going ahead on their own with allowing preorders and will probably allow lore preorders than thyll get.

Still think that 10 GB of VRAM isn't enough for 4K PC gaming.

Maybe wait for the inevitable 20 GB 3080 Super/Ti ? Idk. Enjoy, regardless.

I just had to hit the MTB trails this afternoon. Got a bestbuy email during my ride and couldn't get an order in. I didn't get an email from Sony either. So bummed right now. Everyone is sold out in US atm. Hopefully a new round opens up tomorrow. Though I notice Amazon hasn't started pre-orders. Just might be staying up all night....
