Every game is optimized for consolles, it doesn't mean that it can't be trash ported or just far more heavy on pc.

Current gen console are gonna run this thing at low-medium details, 30 frame shit-solid and with a lot of things vastly reduced like npc density, rtx, ultra details, etc, a comparison with the pc version is silly.

Also this game is gonna run like trash at launch on console, you can bet on that.

I doubt it chokes consoles harder than the witcher3 did, so in theory it has the potential to run well on any gpu that handles that game well... the question is whether devs will care to optimize it and provide the correct settings so everybody can have a smooth ride.

Why you doubt that? This is a far more ambitious game than w3 and logically a city environment is far more filled with stuff compared to a medieval one.

Just the gigantic number of npc we saw in the reveal, cars with reflections, multy-layered buildings, some destructibility here and there, etc.

Pc gamer have to thank god for dlss, without that it would be a bloodbath.

Yea it's really hard to believe that Night City will be better optimized than Novigrad in W3, while looking so much impressive

Yep, i have enough experience to not believe in cyber-unicorns anymore...

This game is gonna be massively heavy to run if people want top tier settings.

It would not be acceptable.

Also they already downgraded the number of npc if I´m not mistaken, car reflections do not use particularly demanding techniques, and the enviroment isn´t that detailed.

If this game runs similarly to the witcher 3 on consoles but it doesn´t run well on pc gpu´s that run TW3 well, then devs didn´t care to optimize.

This game is far more heavy than w3, there is no guarantee that a gpu that can run w3 is enough to run cyberpunk, if that is what you were trying to say.

My gpu is enough to max out w3 at 4k60 but it's not gonna be nearly enough for 1440p ultra-high details+rtx without dlss, like not even close.

Games become more heavy and the optimization on console is mostly a combo of lower details\shitty framerate\lower resolution.

Question, so what exactly am I getting out of my Series X or PS5 runningthis joint?

Its a @#$% shame though that this game was built from the ground up with 1.8tflop in mind 😔

Oh so you are talking of ultra high details +RTX?. I´m referring only to the base GFX features that will make for 90% of the visuals, including some of the mirror like reflections that will be present on consoles, those should have no problem running smoothly on almost every gpu since the 9XX series as long as the game is decently optimized.

Ps.- And the lack of vegetation is gonna make it easier to run than the w3 on consoles I think.

we are gonna see very soon how the game will run on anything below series 2000 without dlss :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

Can anyone explain why it's $49.99 on Amazon?
Amazon wants to incentive people to shop at their site rather than others and therefore sells certain products at prices lower than their MSRP. Cyberpunk isn't the only upcoming game that's being sold by Amazon at $49.99; Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is also $49.99.

That this game has been built for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One does not mean that it won't take advantage of what PC has to offer as a result of being "held back." Consider Red Dead Redemption 2; it looks significantly better on PC at max settings than it does on console.

Also, have you seen footage of this game running on just a 1080Ti, which isn't even part of the 2000 or 3000 Series? The E3 2018 demo below is running on a 1080 Ti. The specs of the PC on which the demo ran were revealed on the official discord for the game.

CPU: Intel i7-8700K @ 3.70 GHz
MB: ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-I GAMING
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V, 2x16GB, 3000MHz, CL15
GPU: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
SSD: Samsung 960 Pro 512 GB M.2 PCIe
PSU: Corsair SF600 600W

Looks incredible!!! So this should get a nice boost running on Series X and then true next gen patch sometime next yr.

Gold status of CyberPunk should be soon, mid-end of Oct...can't wait !

Can anyone answer this question for me... if I preorder cyberpunk on my ps4 pro and download it Will I be able to play this on ps5 day one? Also since this is the only game I really want on ps5 do you think it’ll be much better compared to the ps4 pro?

The Xbox Series X is said to be as fast as a 2080Ti, which is about 15% to 20% faster than a 1080Ti. Also, the Xbox Series X has hardware dedicated to ray tracing, whereas the 1080Ti does not. So, yea, the game should look better on the Xbox Series X.

There will be a patch available at launch that offers a boost for playing on PS5. They haven't stated what the performance will be.

Actually it was built for the PS4 and Xbox One until 2016 when it moved to REDengine 4. REDengine 4 was developed for next gen systems. REDengine 3 was built for PS4 and Xbox One.

I'm not gonna lie. The game looks very bad in the long gameplay trailer they released a couple of months ago. I was actually hoping for another delay.

I thought for sure that a lot of people were going to be let down by this game, chiefly because of inflated expectations - but actually a lot of people are approaching this with a sober mindset.

That said, you can see that a few people are... over-investing in this title... which is something I’ve been guilty of myself.

My experience has been that if you adore a certain game, then the sequel, or the game that follows the game, will almost always let you down - sometimes profoundly so.

Yeah but the game improved graphically since the reveal and we really don't know what type of details\rtx they used during that demo.

I´m more interested on how it runs on PC with console base settings and resolution, I´m not buying a new card for 1 game lol.

(i'm waiting too for a new gpu but if there is one game that deserve a new rig, it's probably this one)

So what I read was that there will be a patch at launch unlocking next gen performance, but it won't yet be a "next-gen optimized version." So the game will run better than last gen but presumably won't have RT or other next gen effects.

Do we know if they’ll have a PS5 SKU at launch?

Yes, we know that there isn’t one. The developer stated that there won’t be a PS5/XSX version until some time next year at the earliest. We also know that the game will apparently be patched day 1 to run at 4K/60fps on the Series X. Most likely the PS5 will get the same treatment or similar on day 1, although it is shitty that they don’t just announce the upgrade already for PS5 as well. There are no cases of a multiplatform game receiving a free Series X upgrade, but the same game for PS5 not getting it. So I doubt CDPR will be the company to start that trend.

Can anyone answer this question for me... if I preorder cyberpunk on my ps4 pro and download it Will I be able to play this on ps5 day one? Also since this is the only game I really want on ps5 do you think it’ll be much better compared to the ps4 pro?

Yes, the PS5 will play 99% of all PS4 games, digital or on disc (assuming you have the disc drive). And the PS5 will play 100% of PS4 games that were released since July/August of this year. And it’s 99.9% certain that the PS5 will have access to all of the PS4 games on the PSN storefront, as well as obviously the library of games attached to your account. Anything less than this would be madness, so I think you can expect all of this. And the PS5 will almost certainly run Cyberpunk at a higher frame rate, and most likely at a higher resolution as well, especially since this is CDPR we’re talking about here. Most likely they’re saving the ray tracing and some other features for the next gen versions, if I had to guess.

I wonder if we're getting 60Fps 1080p on current gen consoles? I highly doubt it, but it's a dream.

Going by how multi-plats usually work this gen, the base PS4 and XB1 will run the game at 30fps/1080p, and the PS4 Pro and Xbox One will run at higher than 1080p but lower than 4K, at 30-60 fps, but will run at a fairly solid 60 fps if the resolution is locked at 1080p. And the One X will get slightly better output than the Pro. Both the PS5 and SX should presumably be able to run the game at 60fps/4k on day 1, with ray tracing, possibly 120fps, and other bells and whistles being reserved for the dedicated next gen versions next year or in 2022.

so do u think I will be able to play 60fps on ps-5 at release? that's such a w if I can

Even the PS4 Pro and One X will probably achieve 60fps in performance mode (where the resolution is kept at 1080p). So it seems HIGHLY unlikely that the PS5 will output anything less than 60fps.

Too be honest I´d buy one too, but I promised myself to not buy anything until I finish my game backlog, which can be traced back to the ps3/360 gen :messenger_tears_of_joy:
