So there is still no confirmation that saves can go from PS4 to PS5? Or back again?

Why is everyone so fucking tight lipped about this?

I love the decapitations!

Who is this imposter? I don’t know model 103.

On topic

I really liked AC Odd but I’m still not done with it. I’m really late in the game but getting frustrated with the stops they throw in to the story. Oh go to this island and find this person. Then this person gives you 4 quests before you get the answer you need. Then you need to level up 4 levels before you can do the next quest. Oh then you need to go find these 4 mystery items on these giant islands but you need to loot the right chest in the middle of no where that isn’t marked to start one of the quests. Then as it seems you are making progress a door is locked. Now you need to go find 3 random people to give you info on how to unlock it.

it’s all very tiresome.

That sounds like a terribly boring way to play the game, I gotta say. It would be like playing Skyrim but actually doing the main quest to the exclusion of everything else :/

At first I did everything, all side quests, character quests, contracts etc. but it just was dragging on. There were some great side quests but at some point I decided I didn’t want to spend 80+ hours with the game. Plus the game is just stuffed with so many things to do and so many different mechanics it would be near impossible for me to do them all. So I figured let’s do the main story only. But there are these forced stops that just break up what was really becoming a good story.

One that I could do without is the bounty hunters. What an obnoxious mechanic.

Its interesting that they show the shirtless male and his cool tattoos for marketing, but I bet the female character is covered up like a nun in that same armor/clothing set (or the female is just a dudes body with the a female face). Every shot of the chick Viking in those videos hide every single part of her femininity.

The double standard is alive and well. Prudish Evangelical Christians have to love 2020. All the censorship that they wanted in the 90s but without any of the ridicule.

I am sure the SJWs will start protesting Male Vikings toxic masculinity right? We can't have men go into depression over unrealistic body standards...right guys? Right?

The male Eivors face is way cooler than the female's.

...and somehow more manly and weather-beaten, who would've figured that in this great year of our lord, two-thousand and twenty.

The male character looks like it was actually designed by someone who cares. The female is probably an afterthought.

If videogames have taught me anything, it's that woman have worn underwear and bras since the dawn of man.

Don't really care about trailers. Will wait for some info about characters. While Odyssey looked good graphically (when I picked it up not so long ago with huge discount)- npc characters were so boring or annoying..

Looks like Witcher with Vikings. I like it
But has the gameplay changed enough to make it feel different from other AC titles?

And can I PLEASE see this running on a Series S?!

It looks insanely good in that IGN preview. Call me crazy but I'm personally way more hyped for this than Cyberpunk.

I still don't understand why he has that name.. Eivor is a female name.
I assume it's because canonically the protagonist is female (of course she is as we know raging viking warlords were almost only women and they were also misunderstood good guys (girls)) but the Animus let's you change her gender.

Edit: or some other shenanigan that is implied in Origins and Odyssey, but I haven't finished the latter yet and also don't want to spoil it

It has several changes, like you have to find allies or you build your own settlement. Not sure how it will work out in the game.
There are a handful seconds of gameplay in the Series S trailer, but do not expect too much.

Its like some people wanted this game to look back , I wonder why? I wasn't interested in this game at first (creed fatigue) but it looks like they pulled me back in.
