8 seconds is still fast enough, those people who thought everything would have no loading were living in dream world.

To be fair not all that time was due to loading.

In general multiplayer games should take longer than single player games because of all the hand shaking involved. This goes for both systems BTW.

Still seems there is a fair amount that wasn't shown about the UI, so we have that to look forward to.

He mentioned that some BC PS4 games will take advantage of the Card system, which tells me that there will be some good size patches incoming.

In addition, that would be a good case to show how BC works for optimized PS4 games and possibly show Boost Mode.

I don't believe we've seen the new PS Store or what new things will be available for PS Now. PS+ has some robust additions with PS4 Collection, etc. I really want to see how they'll make PS Now an even more enticing value.

Thing is sports teams aren’t in the hundreds of people and when a club buys a player the fans know or can easily know what they are buying.

Here it’s just... a shot in the dark 99.9% of the time. All I see are hopes that somebody you don’t know might suddenly turn a MS studio into that Sony studio you secretly worship.
Thats not really true. There is decades a collective game making knowledge they are assembling. What ever they are making it will be good. The quality will be there. Whether its the killer app on the first try is the shot in the dark. Usually it takes few titles to get that synergy going.

"The Initiative" is like the rich football team which can buy the best athletes and hopes to win the next title.
They have sucked in so much talent in the past, that their 1st game simply has to be incredible. Otherwise it shows that money can't buy great game creation or Microsoft has a management problem.
I guess we'll find out in 4 years when they are done making whatever they are making

8 seconds isn't a particularly relevant number to this game today.

What those loading speeds indicate is the capability of the console to throughput data. That capability will be exploited as the generation continues to improve games - fidelity of graphics and world design.

A console with greater throughput can expect greater gains from games that exploit that throughput in future.

There will probably be a little info drop like yesterday every Wednesday or Thursday each week until the console hits. Keep the drip coming up until launch

So UI looks amazing, and so fluid... I just hope it hasn't taken too much resources away from developers... e.g 1 CPU Core prioritised to the UI, and pool of RAM say 2GB.

Maybe I'm being greedy, but I'd like to see developers have as much resources at their disposal... I also don't want to see UI features that in the end are barely used.
Same goes for Series X/S

If someone leaves say Naughty dog to a competitor, how do you know that person was the best or worst rated in that area of expertise at Naughty dog ?

Sometimes you can poach the best people, sometimes the people who are not the best and not advancing in their position leave (unhappy).

Quite amusing takes on the job market.
It has also a lot to do with the enviroment culture, ND has always had this 'leave no stone unturned' philosophy ever since Crash. This kind of thing won't change when someone talented leaves and will be incorporated by anyone who enters.

So you were pretending to be Hendrick's Hendrick's with another account?

I'm confused at what the joke was.......
Because in french obsessed also means a perv and I assumed it was also the case in english which it apparently is not.So it just came out as 'Yeah ? then tell me why I am obsessed!" in an agressive way instead of a sobbering "Why am I a perv?" of a sudden and sad realisation that somehow totally missed the point.

I been there. Where you explain a joke and it becomes less and less funny with every second. I feel your pain.

This merry go around has been going on for a long while now. Coalition and 343 were also superstar studios. It's ridiculous, that's what it is.

Really impressed by the innovations here from Sony and it really feels like a next gen system, alot of these features look like things you wont use but when it comes to it I can think of many many uses for the activities and the useful info like "how much time" to complete things I love that.

My time is precious and I can see many applications for things, a few ideas below:

- Activity card for PES, launch straight into edit mode, continue career or a cup game with the UI telling me how long a match will take including my usual stoppages in time. This is amazing, I can see if I can squeeze in another game before meeting the mrs etc.

- Also I find myself following online guides more these days as I cant be bothered to faff about in a game for hours loking for things, I would LOVE to be able to use PIP for that.

- The screen share function will be brilliant not just for watching people play and hanging out but I can see other benefits like sharing a friends loadout and when there are issues in a game where you can get something to work or a team mate needs help.

These are all brilliant QOL features and it feels as though MS and the XSX have literally just rested on "its more powerful" which is great but even their use of game swapping is not THAT impressive, I think its great being able to swap games but its not exactly that quick from what I have seen, if the game swapping in PS5 is as quick as they have shown, that is very impressive.

I dunno Im kind of thinking of cancelling my XSX pre-order, the PS5 just feels more next gen to me.

For those who haven't gotten to watch yet. LOVE 4K screenshot/video capture, and the UI will look so sharp on screen.

I don't think those 8 seconds are actually the game loading.
If you watch carefully, you'll see that developers and publishers like to display there logos during intros or start up.
Remove the logos, intro and you'll see the actual load time.
Plus you can see the guy is tapping a button to speed up or skip the intro.

Didn't know where to ask this and didn't want to start a thread, but anybody with experience on PlayStation headphones?

Thinking of buying the Pulse 3D but I don't quite understand if it's supposed to be a good buy or not?

I start to think that this is at the heart of the reason why we have not seen any real next-gen game running on XSX - they are struggling to get all those TFLOPs to the screen. I hope they get their arms around it.
I think the biggest problem is that MS delayed the release of the Xbox One X for one year and didn't have as much time to prepare for the next gen as Sony because of that. If Sony had dev kits ready even 6 months earlier, it gave the PS5 devs much more time to prepare and optimize for launch.

Maybe without the pandemonium MS might have had enough time to finish Halo Infinite in time, but I doubt it.

Dont forget to mention that it was a multiplayer game. Time it took to Matchmake and all

I don't know about the Pulse 3d but if it is anything like my WH1000XM2 you're in for a treat, and if you can afford it , it is excellent.

Don't forget to do the HRTF scan it really changes the sound.

Not with PlayStation ones, specifically, but I do with Sony headphones, and they're usually fairly good when it comes to sound. Wouldn't say brilliant, but good enough. Cheap ones tend to overdo bass like crazy, but Pulse wouldn't really fit into that category, so I wouldn't be too worried about it.

The thing is that they're selling them as a great way to experience 3D audio without specifically talking about what they possibly have that enhances that experience. I mean, from what we know, they're basic Sony BT headphones. And again, that's nice, they usually make good ones, but the supposed selling point of experiencing 3D audio at its best on those headphones is kinda empty with what we know so far.

Long story short; Sony usually does good cans, and the price point on the Pulse 3D set is attractive, but as of now I fail to see anything special about them related to the promise of experiencing 3D audio at its best with them.

Got Astro A40+Mixer, preordered Pulse 3D, and if PS5 will take full advantage of WH-1000XM4 I'll also buy them! But they have 40mm drivers vs 50mm on Pulse 3D.

I'm not particuarly found of the lower spectrum of soud I like it more cold.

I like em punchy. Most epic moment to me was the World Serpent in GOW, that made my older, cheap headset with turtle beach amp with bass at high shaking! Not joking, the headset was extremely shaking!

So I have senhessier game zeros, used to use with astro mix amp, so was thinking of plugging them into controller.

I do have a pulse 3d on pre-order but unsure they will suprass my open senheisser game zeros.

Problem with A40 is that it has an extremely flat bass, but sound clarity is good. If your Sennheiser packs enough punch and great clarity, don't rush to Pulse 3D just yet.

No I don't have the console, lol. It's from the trailer of the UI.

Ok guys, you pushed me too much until I fell from my bed and woke up. This is a graphic shot, so open with your own responsibility.

Wouldn't that require Konami to actually care about gaming?

Bo_Hazem Bo_Hazem m8, how about some time down the road, you do some reviews for us on this equipment and give us your thoughts, i am talking specifically the new ps5 stuff you get. You have good experience by the sounds of it in regards to have used a lot of different headphones and will be nice to hear how they stack up against the others.

Down the line i will want to get a pair if they are awesome.

Will do! But It'll only be Astro A40 vs Pulse 3D so far.
