AOC and Omar Ilhan are two catastrophically bad politicians, whose actions are largely based on career and ideological reasons. But I don't see why they shouldn't stream on Twitch and do some campaigning in the process. Smart move by them. That aside, AOC has always played video games as far as I remember.

What does Trump have to do with this? I said something about two people and you bring a third person into play as a "counter-argument" (against what?), which is not what this is about at all. But nice black and white thinking. Not that people start to think you are politically very left-wing oriented just because of that. We wouldn't want that, would we?

Maybe expand your horizon. There is not only right and left or black and white, even if for some rather simple minded people this is certainly quite appealing.

I'm not American. As a non American the thing I see a lot of online and on the news in regards to American politics is that supporters of the Red team like not to point out their triumphs, but the wickedness of the Blue team. It's quite striking - you have a political party in power, coming up for re-election and the only talking points are how awful the other people are - they've had 4 years of power and not really managed to do very much with it.

So I see a comment like yours and it reads like the above. When someone says they are awful - well they must support the other team right? Because as an outsider that's all American politics is. Us and Them. Red and Blue. Skub and Anti-Skub. It is black and white. Just like you suggested I might be very left wing. I must be one of them, because I'm clearly not one of us. Nothing is ever accomplished by the American Government because one side always wants to change and the other side never does. Whatever the Skub team propose, you can be sure the Anti-Skub team doesn't like it.

Does the same not apply to the other side? I'm not an American either, but the Democrats' election campaign was almost exclusively about belittling Trump. By now there were actually quite a few retrospectively proven smear campaigns without any real substance against Trump.

My personal opinion is that the Democrats are clearly the worse choice because there is simply no substance or reality-based facts behind their campaign. But that doesn't mean that I like Trump just because, as you yourself say, for many people it is the logical conclusion.

No? Why should it be like that? Maybe this is the reality that Trump or Biden want or need to impose on people. But I can think for myself.

The current US elections are very much characterized by two extremely different political positions with nothing in between and both presidential candidates profit from the fact that the respective competitor is rather weak.
