Ubisoft On the Next Generation of Consoles Updated || 4k@60fps

As we seen yesterday with all the concern trolling about how the ps5 will have either a 4k or 60 fps mode for the ubisoft games, ubisoft responds by updating the article to state 4k at 60fps.

Far Cry 6:

Far Cry has never looked so stunning, with luscious tropical vistas rendered at 60 frames per second at 4K resolutions on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. If you own a PS4 or Xbox One copy of the game, you can upgrade to the Xbox Series X | S* or PlayStation 5** edition respectively at no extra cost when your new console arrives.

AC Valhalla:

PlayStation 5: PS5 players can immerse themselves in the stunning open world with the power of the Tempest 3D Audio Engine to hear the environment around them, along with detailed 4K at 60 frames per second visuals, and faster loading speeds due to the additional power of the console’s ultra-high speed SSD. If you purchase a PS4 copy of the game, you’ll be able to upgrade at no additional cost to the PS5** edition.

Riders Republic:

PlayStation 5: Race and ride through the National Parks of the United States in 4K at 60 frames per second. HDR compatible screens offer a wider range of colors and crisper visuals so you can experience every moment as if you were there, and faster loading times make sure you spend more time boarding, skiing and flying. If you get yourself a PlayStation 4 version of the game, you can upgrade to the PlayStation 5** edition at no additional cost when you get your new console.

Was clear from the start, whoever thought PS5 wasn't going to do 4k/60 on cross-gen games needs to give their head a wobble.

There's going to be parity this gen between the consoles, I honestly don't see why anyone would think otherwise.

The desperation was strong with this one.

This is what happens when you hang your hat on a single figure on a spec sheet without attempting to understand what else goes into how pixels manifest themselves on your screen.

That still doesn’t tell us what the differences are between the two and a high pc to get to 4K 60 FPS on each.

Probably a mixture of custom architecture and locked in specs on the consoles and brute force on the PC.

Its like this.

PS4 / XBX : Hot Dog with all the toppings - mustard and ketchup..on the table in front of you.

PC : Sausage Uncooked, empty bun, fried onions, ketchup, Relish and Mutard all in front of you on the table. Essentially the same but more effort to put it together and harder to guess what you'll get.

Well, got to give UBI credit. Aside from WD (unless it has a no RT 60 fps mode), looks like UBI is finally on the 60 fps train.

Aside from RS Siege, I don't think one game this past gen was 60 fps or even had an optional 60 performance mode for Pro or One X(?)

What did he do with that?

I think he kept quoting Jim Ryan and posting Sonys liquid cooling patent multiple times to convince people the console would cost 599$ at the minimum. He acted like he knew the actual price instead of treating it like prediction.

That's what I think happened.

Sounds like ManaByte ManaByte

Well now he was basically doing cartwheels that the PS5 version didn't run at 4K/60 like the Series X and how he told everyone so.

Of course, that was never true and he went into hiding.

I'm still going to wait for comparisons but I do agree that Ubisoft changed the verbage for some reason.

I'm not in hiding. I just have better things to do than argue with system warriors who try to spark fights by tagging people in random threads.

I didn’t even know there was a concern about this?

The difference in wording is just PR so not to sound repeatable. F’n gamers man.
