I already have Shadow of War (which is an ok game), but I am hyped for Hollow Knight, it always seemed interesting to me, I will definitely check it out.

Is that 2 launch titles for free from Sony. I think giving away next generation games for free is undervaluing the games and quality of them.

Not every game needs to be in a photorealistic violent setting.
Some people like cartoony games, some have kids and there are so few games for kids on consoles (non Nintendo consoles).
I want it just to play around a foolish game in between Demon's Souls sessions.

Hey now, you are only allowed to like chill cutesy games if you play on the Switch.

Them's the rules!

I too will check out Bugsnax, in between other games as you said.

PS Plus PS4 owners are getting the major shaft here, no PLUS Library(or whatever they're calling it) and no shitty Bugsnax game despite the fact that it's available on both consoles. Sony's shitiness is starting up again.

True. I don't intend to get a PS5 anytime soon, but I would have liked the opportunity to get Bugsnax through PS Plus.

Sony used to be really good with their handling of cross-buy games on PS Plus in the past, where the game was given out on all available platforms. It's a shame that they've decided to renege on this policy now.

Damn, so both Bugsnax and Destruction Derby are Plus games. Makes sense, honestly.

99.9% chance it'll work on PS5.

Makes perfect sense. I wouldn't have bought either. Now I'm downloading both. My baby daughter will LOVE the Bugsnax music at least. That's a huge plus. I can turn that game on and let her smack the controller for 20 minutes and just smile, while I'm washing the dishes. 🥰

It's 3 launch games for free. Astro's Playroom is free too.

did they fix the grindy ending of shadow of war? i remember there being a huge stink about that
I bought it just after it was (supposedly) patched, partially because it was on a decent sale, but also to see how grindy the endgame really is.

And... I still couldn't be arsed to finish it, still way too grindy for my taste. But when I looked up the ending on Youtube - yeah, it most certainly wouldn't have been worth the effort.

I'm glad I'm going to be able to get these games with plus, but damn some of you are acting like Bugsnax and Destruction all stars are 5 star games. The real winner is getting Hollow Knight anyways.

WTF 3, who needs GamePass when you get games for free. Sony playing 4D chess here.

Jokes aside thats actually pretty dope, they're new games who cares who good they are, you will have some fun with them no matter what. Nice move from Sony.

Really strong month! Hollowknight is fantastic and I've always been intrigues by the Middle Earth games, although is the first one better? Getting Bugsnax for free is fucking sweet, can't wait to play that once I get my hands on a ps5!

Shame, i'll redeem it at least but put it on the backburner. I LOVE the first game, hate to see they messed it up, they started so strong.

Nope....they get the Plus library as well. Gotta' read that fine print....

Gotta POST that fine print, so far the wording has been PS5 ONLY.

The PlayStation Plus Collection is a new curated series of PS4 games that will be available for digital download on the PS5.

Even the sony post about this is super squirrely and does NOT state EXPLICTLY that you can USE THE COLLECTION ON PS4.

Ask me about my Stream Deck
Hollow Knight is dope. Bugsnax makes me want to cancel my sub.
If you will have a PS5 to take advantage, perhaps one of the other 20 games available on plus will appeal to you.

Are you not familiar with PS Plus? This is how it's always been, and both of those titles aren't launch titles, they are just PS4 titles (very good games though), only one is PS5.

I wish they would offer the PS Plus collection to PS4 owners. It's kind of stupid to not give PS4 games to PS4 owners...

Well, if it's any consolation, the endgame is like the "ending-ending" - there is a conclusion to the story (as nonsensical as it can be) before that. And while I do have a lot of issues with the story (if the first game played it a bit loose with the lore, this one takes a Hummer and repeatedly drives over it), mechanically it's better than the first game. So if you enjoyed the gameplay, you should be good.

BOMBA! LMAO, Bugnax didn't even launched and it's already coming to PS+, but let's be honest, this game never had a chance, it's the only way average gamers will even hear about it.

Well Hollow Knight is epic, but is there anyone who wants to play that hasn't? It's been on PS Now for a while and has been really cheap in a couple sales over the past year.

Meh... Great game. Just wish it was a great game I hadn't played.

Wow. First Destruction All Stars and now Bugsnax. Two day one games now on subscription the past week.

Well, the competition is giving away practically every game they make on subscription now, so it's been interesting to think about how Sony would try to compete (or not try; GamePass is an unskippable deal, but if you're not in that ecosystem, I feel like I'm contently blind to it, just getting a few PlayStation "hits" on Plus and a few old NES/SNES ROMs on my Switch.)

(*I already forgot about the "PlayStation Plus Collection", which puts a ton of Sony first-party titles and a few third-party games on the service; that's been a response to GamePass already.)

First-run titles would seemingly need to be part of their marketing at some point, but will Sony start making games specifically for PS Plus (or tailoring the DLC longtail for a 'free' first hit?) And/or will they define again their PS+ program as to how many PS4, PS5 "hits", and PS5 launch games will release in a month? Will they be confirming alongside the first announcement of certain games that they are PS Plus-bound? (Destruction All-Stars has its unfortunate history, but it is interesting that this is the first game with a PS Plus release announced months before it actually comes to market.)

Meanwhile, will Microsoft's GamePass cash-burn cap out (like Netflix eventually did and they had to start dropping the axe on even notable shows,) and will anything they do with GamePass change over this console run, or is just having a deathstar subscription deal with AAA MS and Bethesda and other titles on tap enough drive to last a full console generation or more and make Xbox consumers permanently devoted to its marketplace? This may well be where the real next-generation battle takes place...

...Or, Sony's just giving away Bugsnax because it's got to be something, and why not Bugsnax?

Doesn't the PS5 come with a free game out of the box, which is a next generation game and now with Bugsnax which is also a next generation game. And I am aware PS Plus, just wasn't expecting a next gen game to be included right away.

Bugsnax is the free PS Plus game, yes, you get it as long as you are a PS Plus subscriber. And yeah, the same thing happened at the PS4 launch. You gotta find something else to troll, champ. ;)

They are incentives to pickup a ps5, especially for those new comers to playstation ecosystem
