After many, many failed attempts I got it to work by doing the following: when pasting in the serial number from a note, I right-clicked and pasted in “plain text” and it worked instantly. This was with MS Edge.

Anyone having issues with the US order page? I put in my serial number, it says “oops something went wrong” and gives number to support.

That one just gives me an oops error when I try to enter my serial number. I hope it is not because I tried the other link first. WTF Sony. This should be easy.

I was getting the 'oops' message for both links. I'm in US. But my model is: CUH-ZVR1 (first gen), which is not what they list in the footer (CUH-ZEY1 or CUH-ZEY2)

Tried calling the number, but their hours are between 9AM-6PM pacific time so just missed them I guess.

No options for Canada and US 🤦‍♂️ I just filled out my address and set my postal code and put Bulgaria as my country. It went through so hopefully it worked.

Mines first-gen too. I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t be supported, it’s just an adapter. I’m going to call tomorrow.

So apparently, for the US link, these error messages we keep seeing mean nothing. Some people have sat there spamming it over and over again all day to finally get in. I've seen 2 or 3 different error messages now and they just keep alternating between them.

Don't take them too seriously, the site itself is just fucked. Sony didn't handle this little adapter process well at all.

Been trying randomly all day. It just doesn't work. Sometimes it gives the oops. Sometimes it just doesn't do anything after putting in the serial number from the box

What a bunch of fucking numpties making this a process. Won’t even take my serial number. I can see myself not having access to my VR way into the PS5 ownership.

Like I said in the OP. Bookmark the link or the thread. It's bound to work eventually and this is not a limited time offer. It has worked for some but not others.

Got mine. It kept giving me an error and I kept hitting reload until it worked. Only 5 reloads and it was done.

I had to call the playstation hotline for it to work. Got a repeated error message on the website. Had to mail them a photo of the back of the PSVR unit and all should be fine now.

Probably because they are specifying it is one per household - so if you have already requested one but try again, they probably won't ship you a second one! They could have worded it better though - or do address validation on the form instead!

OK I just deleted the last number then reinserted the number and pressed enter 10 times and it worked.

Thanks for the tip. I gave up trying yesterday, and was going to call, but have no patience for the phone, so gave this a try, and after about 10 attempts the thing finally went through.

Between yesterday and today, I did that delete last number and type it back in thing 100+ times. Still not happening.

After the mess of trying to get PS5 preorders, why does this free and necessary adapter feel like yet another big lottery I'm supposed to feel lucky to get?

I have the camera for PS4 but not PSVR. It's a bit disappointing that the accessory compatibility won't carry over...

I actually got to the address portion on the US site, but it doesn't seem to want to let me click the submit button...this is annoying

I'm starting to think that trying the first link when this thread was posted (the EU one) has locked my serial number. Using that link brings me to the address part every time (but a US address can't be put in). The US link just tells me most of the time that the serial has already been registered. We're talking hundreds of tries deleting the last number and hitting Next again.

It's not that. I went to the EU link first as well. Then the US link wasn't working the first day. Then the next day the US link worked on about 10th try. If you tried that many times, then just give them a call.
