I haven't played 8 of those games. Great to see RE7 on there for when I get PSVR next year.
While there is no official confirmation yet, I think it's given there will be a PSVR 2. Personally I'd wait for that - I don't have a PSVR myself, but borrowed one from a friend for a couple of months and it's pretty clear it is a 1.0 product. Surprisingly good, but still not quite there.

Amazing. I makes a lot of sense to have this collection tied to ps+ forever with games being added over time.

I lack two on the Sony list, was going to buy them on PS4 but will hold off for PS5. Same thing for eight (8!) of the third-party list. So this is a great deal for folks like me who own a PS4, yet usually buy games later. And it will def entice me to buy a PS5 sooner rather than later. My only question is DLC. I assume Fallout 4 does not include DLC for example?

Once you redeem a game from the PlayStation Plus Collection, you can keep the games for as long as you are an active PlayStation Plus member.

This is the biggest part for me. This is essentially just a huge PS+ month rather than this being something that is contingent on Netflix style availability.

Edit: Do we know if this will be available to PS4 owners or is it truly PS5 only? Wondering about people that aren't upgrading immediately.

Looking forward to the bump in Bloodborne player count plus PS5 boost mode. I only got invaded maybe twice in my playthrough, but I found it hella fun and wished it happened more, it's also fun to go and dick around in someone elses world but then troll them and let yourself die if they really seem to want to go somewhere.

It's a nice offering. I've played all of Sony's games from the list, but I'll definitely check out some of the third party titles like FF15 and Persona 5.

thinks Halo Infinite is a new graphical benchmark
SONY takes pride in PS Plus this creates an opportunity to get eyes on their online store.

This is a pretty amazing move by Sony. God of War and Bloodborne are worth a replay and I've always wanted to check Persona and FF 15 out. Must be incredible if you didn't own a PS4 or didn't get round to every exclusive.

You could make the point that there's arguably more quality games on show here than Gamepass.

Ask me about my Stream Deck
So if final fantasy got upgraded to royal edition I wonder if it's worth hoping that persona also gets upgraded to royal...

Reminds me of back in the ps3 days with the instant game collection you got with plus. For people who missed out on a lot of these games, they are in for a treat

While I think its a good idea for Sony, it offers very little value to most of us that bought all the good games on that list for ps4.

The collection itself is dope, but why cod black ops3, why add the shittiest cod in current gen history. It’s got shit campaign, shitty wall running multiplayer. They could’ve added modern warfare 2019

It is neat that Sony is doing this but let's be honest. Most of us that are insane in gaming have already played many of those titles.

It would be wicked awesome if people with PS+ had a discount for digital copies of games instead.

Considering it’s the zombies bundle they’re taking into account how Zombies is still insanely popular. If you check out youtubers, there’s a lot of people still playing III over even some of the newer COD’s.

also I would argue advanced warfare or ghost are the inferior cod games this gen. (And decent campaign aside, Infinite warfare also kinda sucked)

So PS4 owners get those games free too regardless if they have a PS or not?

No?

"The PlayStation Plus Collection will be an added benefit to the existing PS4 benefits that PlayStation Plus members receive for a single subscription price – no additional membership fee required."

all ps+ members get it, without additional fee

And ps+ is so cheap (~5€/month) that it is crazy not to have it anyway

Some of the wording seems to imply that a PS5 is required though so I'm not sure.

Why would Sony limit these PS4 games to being playable on PS5 only if we are all paying the same price for PS Plus? That's fucked up if true.

I guess cause there isn't a huge amount of launch titles, so its a nice bonus to be able to play something that perhaps you haven't before at higher fidelity.

Those games got patches?

I don't think all them have, but tbh I can't see them not patching them in some fashion in the future. They all would be good demos of the hardware. They all get boosted with Game Boost, like all games though.

I mean:

"PS4 games redeemed from the PlayStation Plus Collection and played on the PS5 console will see benefits such as increased loading speed and improved or more stable framerates with PS5’s Game Boost"

Rumors are saying that only patched games can be get boost mode.

I think they should have included the Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection (so that new PS gamers can experience the whole story) and maybe even Lost Legacy too.

GT Sport and Wipeout Omega Collection should be there too for some racing game representation.

Other than that it's a pretty solid collection.

It's exclusive for PS5
Learned that a few weeks back
I'm actually trying to sell a good amount of my physical PS4 games since they are available in the collection lol
I prefer digital and might even try to buy a digital PS5 if that's even possible
Way more elegant than the ps5 with the disc drive
It being exclusive to PS5 makes sense for people who are new playstation customers who missed out on the PS4 generation
New customers (alongside eager PS4 owners who want to upgrade right now) will drive sales and the collection is an easy way to get them accustomed w/ the Playstation experience

Hmm I'm not sure. I assumed that if the game previously had "enhanced features" for the PS4 Pro, then the PS5 would automatically use that version and then the extra CPU/GPU power would sustain those enhancements even more, e.g. dynamic resolution on the PS4 Pro would be more highly sustained etc.

Nope, the console have 3 profiles, PS4, Pro and Boost mode. PS4 and Pro profiles performance should be similar to play those games on those consoles.

So weird. Should have just put it on PSNow and gave everyone 2 months free. They are gonna raise the price if they start fuzing them.
