This is completely random for me but is a good example of a track that I love but never would have discovered if not for my love of Quentin Tarantino.

It's an artist and genre that I would never normal listen to but I fucking love it.

QT is not only my favourite director but also arguably one of my favourite DJs :messenger_tears_of_joy:
Legendary soundtracks.

Every time I listen to Jesu, I always wonder why on Earth I dont do it more often. This is one hell of am album. Pretty sure hes the dude responsible for Godflesh also. I need to do my research. This is the kind of music i enjoy most, whatever this is

It's the same guy. The last song Godflesh put out when they first broke up was called Jesu (but then Godflesh got back together years later). Great song that has an interesting 2nd half of the song that kind of hints at Jesu's sound transition.

Get the first Jesu album. It's one of the most punishing and heavy albums ever, but is more melodic and varied than Godflesh. The first album is a complete masterpiece. I got to see Jesu twice, but never got to see Godflesh so far. Some of the Jesu stuff seems kind of so-so, but lots of it is amazing.

Getting a little too ranty, but that EP for Heartache is amazing. The song I posted from it is 20 minutes long and doesn't even truly start until like 8 minutes in.

I just remember I first heard that song near a time when I got dumped, and I was just so impressed by how well it captures the feelings of a breakup or a loss (I actually didn't ever read the lyrics). But just the whole start of the song is an initial angry reaction, and for a while that anger can keep you from feeling other things and keep you strong. Then eventually (8 minutes into the song) you tire out and can't be angry all the time, and then the true feeling comes in that was being blocked. It's just a super cool song lol.

A lot of the Jesu stuff is good to listen to when you feel very patient, because they make the songs long, and they purposefully stick to parts for a long time to drone it out in a cool way, and you miss out on some of the repetitive feel of it when not listening until the end. I don't listen to their songs all the way every time, but it's good to do that sometimes.
