The Blade Runner and Judge Dredd influence on this game is what’s going to get me in. And that IGN preview sounds great. But I am still probably going to hold off on buying until they’ve worked some of the bugs out.

Do you mean you see a direct/obvious/specific Blade Runner + Judge Dredd influence or are you referring to just Cyberpunk themes in general?

Genuinely curious, I'm not watching shit untill the game is installed on my PC.

PS. The mini cities contained in huge buildings is one obvious nod to Dredd, although I don't know if Dredd was the first to do this. The chase scene in the 2018 trailer also reminded me of the chance scene in the movie.

The Mega City blocks are a direct... er... ‘homage’ to Dredd. Cyberpunk was invented after 2000ad first rolled out old Joe. In fact, the whole idea of a mega city on the coast of an irradiated and lawless America, featuring huge tower blocks that people never leave is pretty much plagiarism 😂 Blade Runner references less obtuse, though the new trailer features a girl dressed just like Pris.

Looking real good. It's the immersion in this crazy world that's got me. It feels like an RPG version of GTA in cyberpunk. I'm curious how accurate that statement is once it releases and I get my grubby little skinbag hands on it.

Considering I'm probably gonna be playing this on a base PS4, the only thing stopping the hype train for me is the inevitable Digital Foundry video where I learn it runs at 20FPS most the time.

Also I see complaints about bugs. This is probably a game that much like TW3 will be much better 6 months down the road that at release. But I can't resist.

This game is gonna score in the mid 80s on metacritic, and everyone will chimp out. Then the dust will settle and people will realize it’s actually better than The Witcher 3. It doesn’t have the element of surprise that TW3 had. Victim of its own hype.

Yeah, it does seem to have not much sense to integrate such a robust character customization system, only to see nothing but the hands during the actual gameplay, they could've as well just offer two predefined male/female models and no one would ever bat an eye while playing the game, but since it's first and foremost an RPG, and character creation is synonymous with the genre, it just had to be there. But by going FPP-only view the game has a consistent gameplay this way, as oppose to recent Deus Ex games that had identity problems whether they want to be FPP or TPP games, I personally cannot fight the feeling when watching CP2077 gameplays that THIS is what the Deus Games should've been all along.

Brilliant choice of options for tweaking. Film grain and chromatic abomination is off automatically. Very likely DoF and M-Blur will be offed as well, since its first person game unless motion blur is per object and of very high quality.

xD Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most inclusive game i've seen, you can even play with female character with a dick but i guess it's not enough for some people

Yeap. I could bet a ps5 that most of that strange site members 'in secret' already pre-ordered CP2077 many months ago and just itching to say great things about the game even before game launches, but cant do that. :messenger_savoring:

I forgot that "off" is also an option xD But that made me wonder will we see in the near future an adaptive DLSS, where you set the targeted resolution and framerate, and whenever the game struggles to keep let's say 4K60, only then the DLSS kicks in? Would be nice to have something like that.

Dries Dries also mentioned that. You pick the framerate you want to target and DLSS will go as low or as high as necessary to achieve it.
