The one design flaw that bugs me is the lip that hangs out over the disc slot. Like why?
It didn't need to be like that, I've already dropped a disc once trying to stick it in there. If your hand is above the console as you're putting it in, it's harder, if you are coming at it from below, it's less of a problem, but I mean, it irks me because I lean over to insert discs in from above and I have to be careful putting them in.

If someone has a couple of minutes spare, could you check the YouTube app on your PS5 and see if there is a very thin green line down the right hand edge/side and bottom of the screen. I find if you pause on a very dark video you can see it. I am betting that it is not the PS5 because no other video app does it but I do have a 1080p TV so I'm wondering whether it's a bug peculiar to that resolution when running the app.

I've had a good look around now and it's only on the YouTube app. Thought there was a problem for a second, only got it yesterday!! It's very subtle, 1 pixel wide line.

Played with the dualsense in Call of Duty and immediately turned all that junk off and not interested in astros playroom.
Second: Are the PS4 games that have 60fps interpolating or something as a workaround to not break game logic? The ones I’ve tested don’t have that natural look at all, especially Ghost off Tsushima which looks like a straight up cartoon at times.
100 FPS COD + DMC 5 are NUTS on my C9, though.

Saves automatically going to the cloud with no option to turn it off (not interested in this feature)
Sort By in the storage section. Choose say ‘sort by name’ all well and good. Doesn’t remember that though and go back later and it’s reverted to whatever is default.

II am not having a great time so far with my ps5 AT ALL If I could I would make a whole thread about what issues I’m having.
As soon as I setup the console yesterday I was greeted by garbled up graphics ..then Spider-Man Miles Morales disc couldn’t be read...Astrobot had a massive lag that made the game stutter...numerous error codes...game crashes...download queue bug...and now it’s started wiping game installs off the console when I turn it off.
Is anyone else having this kind of shite or is my console a right off? I can’t help think if this is all software based bugs, then what the fuck is this being launched for in this state? Twitter has a TON of people with these types of problems. Just curious is we are the minority?

This game looks ridiculously good on PS5. I have never played it before, and it was already known as a looker on PS4 Pro but man this shit looks good. The load times are kinda trash though (if you're used to Series and PS5), I guess it is because I run from external?

It's always hard to tell who's the minority with these things.
I had none of the problems you mentioned - but I won't make a tweet about how flawless my gaming console is. I'm gonna be busy playing the newest games on it.
The negative voices are always the loudest. Of course, they want to be heard for them to get some help.
But seeing how many people already had similar problems, you're not alone. If it's terribly widespread, that's hard to say atm.

Load times aren't amazing on the internal drive either.
Much better than PS4 Pro though from what I can recall... I'd say in general, about half as long.. depending on the scenario it's 10-30 seconds.. whereas on PS4 it can easily reach upwards of a minute.

Has anyone else run into the issue of not being able to copy Ghost of Tsushima over to the internal? I kinda don't want to keep my external connected, but I also can't download Ghost of Tsushima quickly (slow internets). I can play it fine from the external, but when I try to move it, it doesn't show under "can be moved".

Yep exactly this, just got home from work took Spider-Man out and put demon souls in and the install was gone. I reinstalled it which takes a good 20 mins and read that a database rebuild might help out. I gave that a go and it actually deleted the install again! Hopefully a patch is incoming but the communication from Sony is shocking on these issues.
I’ll try and keep the internet off before launching the game to see if that helps. I was well prepared for launch consoles to be janky but not as bad as this.

The PS5 could have probably benefited from another month in the oven to be honest.
Would still have sold out if it came out 12th December. But I guess financial quarters and shareholders rule as opposed to working hardware. We’ll patch it later approach I guess meanwhile we get more and more fucked off with it doing shit like this.

On PS4 i have 3 accounts , a portuguese one (main account where i´ve got PS+ and everything) , an american one and a brazilian one.
I usually buy games on either the american one or the brazilian one (lately more on the brazilian one because of how low the prices are) , then i can the game i buy there on my portuguese one.
Can i keep doing this on PS5 , have anyone actually try this? thinking of buying control ultimate edition and MK11 on the brazilian account because the price is to good to let it go (specially since both games have free update on PS5)

PS5 couldn't could have been better. I love the system so far but the lack of quick resume hurts because I also have an Xbox. Classics are a mixed bag. Crash is 30fps on PS5 also, so its unaltered. Those kind of things.
Maybe I would find it fast if I had played it on PS4. Compared to Series games and native PS5 games its slow. But its a fun game, played it for a while. Glad I waited out.

It's so fucking annoying to see most streamers outright turning off motion blur in demon souls 60fps mode... I mean wtf.
It's not cheap gta 3 motion blur. It's per object/per pixel quality stuff that blends frames together for better motion feel. life is not build of 60fps completely static images.
Even cameras capture moments of time (depending on shutter speed)..
Only when I had 240hz monitor, doom 2016 looked like 60hz+motion blur when i played 240hz without motion blur because there were enough frames displayed to fill the game and cheat the brain that it's seeing continuous motion just like motion blur

Yeah I've put quite a few hours into Spiderman Remastered and you just kind of forget load times are even a thing.
Although I don't think every single game is going to be able to achieve that, which could make for an interesting generation of "lazy dev" insults lol

Astro was nice for the 5 minutes he remained inside my ssd(cute little tech demo, i just don't care about platform games anymore)
Like i thought, the vibration thing is just a nice gimmick, it feels like having a little hamster that moves inside the controller
I strongly believe that a lot of people is gonna disable at least the triggers to save battery life.
Morales is very nice but the fidelity mode is bullshit, i barely notice the raytraced reflections and they still look wrong and kinda low def compared to real life or even the rest of the game in 4k, also the game is too fucking fast to even notice this stuff, maybe if you stop every 30 sec to take screenshoots but i'm not the type, performance mode is the only correct choice, 60 frames make combat and traversal even better, fuck rtx.

Does anybody know how to get rid of these types of notifications?
It is annying as hell. In case of GTA V I was able to unfollow the game.
Which then removed the notification for GTA. But Everytime I take a screenshot this
little POS will show up as soon as I enter the control center with a press of the PS Button.
So far the only "workaround" I found was to delete the screenshot.

Wow, so I had a really weird issue tonight while playing COD.
My headset battery was dying, so I plugged it directly into the controller. As soon as I did that, the game performance dropped like crazy. The framerate was dying every time I'd scope in to my gun, the textures weren't loading on walls and floors, ect.
I restarted the PS5 and it was still doing it. Also, the audio was much worse than over bluetooth. There was no longer any control of the volume or the game/party adjustment slider and the 3D audio seemed to be much worse.

Not just in Canada. I Google it and people are getting an ass kicking and getting robbed in other places.
Same happened with PS4, one guy I heard was murdered in the USA. There weren't half as many scalpers though. With thr PS5 it seems like half the people got at least an extra to scalp.

I've been using it for downloading games and charging the controller, no problems so far. I leave no games suspended just for caution.

I took the risk and got my external hardrive hooked up with loads of ps4 games on it.. so far so good.. but i don't even know how often i will use backwards compat because look at this shit..
After playing some of these. Next gen games for this past week.These old games in backwards compatibility. Do not hold up well at all. I can't see myself using this much. They honestly may look worse than they did on ps4 somehow..?
Death stranding is the only one to me that holds up kinda well. Spiderman had tons of jagged moving edges in the landscape.. god of war, krato's head is jagged!! i don't remember that on ps4 at all! granted, that was taken in 60fps mode performance which i think is 1080p, but there's no way it what that was bad on ps4. and outer worlds looks vomit enducing..
