Definitely not the one that comes from a studio that has a revolving door for staff, has failed to deliver a good game ever, has effectively killed a franchise, and had perhaps the most embarrassing reveal of all time.

definitely not whichever one that is:pie_thinking:

God of War 2018 outsold Halo 3 (the most popular Halo) by 5 million, and Halo isn't half as popular anymore

Halo 5 had 1/4th the install base as God of War (2018) when each released.

Halo Infinite will have 6 times the install base as Ragnarok when both release.

Plus, there's that F2P multiplayer juggernaut that Halo 5 and Ragnarok never/won't have.

Good luck indeed.

Come on man. One is a sequel to one of the best games of the generation and a crazy successful reboot, the other is Halo Infinite of Craig fame. The last couple of Halo games don’t exactly inspire me with hope, is what I’m saying.

To Craig or not to Craig?

I choose no Craig.

Basically the last God of War was an amazing experience for me and I'm pretty sure I'm confident that the next one will be great as well. With Halo I wasn't impressed with Guardians and the last time I saw Halo Infinite it looked like a mess to me.

Halo, they killed most of my hype based on the previous gameplay. GoW, I don’t know anything, but i still have hope at least.

What time is it?
I never really cared for God of War until the last iteration so that's where my vote goes. Halo CE is one of my favorite games ever but I have zero desire to play an entry from 343.

Irrelevant. GOW is now in the 20 million leagues, and short of an epic screw up it will continue that path

Halo had never been that popular. F2P might be the bridge to get there, but the SP portion outselling GOW is a laughable prediction

Nevermind getting into how toxic and poor the reception of the game has been so far. You think its going to be converting non Halo fans?

I am personally more excited for Halo since I never even bothered to play the last GoW but GoW will be bigger as PS fans love their single player games.

After playing all the big games, I'm quite bored of Sony's 1st party stuff now. I've never played Halo and I bought my first Xbox with Series X and skipping PS5. Halo Infinite for me.

Why can't I vote?

I liked the recent GOW but TBH honest, it's only good for 1 or 2 playthrough and that's that. With Halo Infinite, I'll be getting hundreds of hours of playing it. Massive difference between two games which makes the comparison dumb as high hell.

Before Infinite became a meme it was a 50/50 shot for both. Halo is no slouch despite not having the same impact it once had.

But after Halo became a Mainstream meme and gave birth to Craig, it's nolonger a fair fight. Infinite's goal is to release without ridicule. GOW is still aiming to push boundaries. Bottom line, today, it's not even a fair comparison.

I stopped playing God of War 2018 at the part in the colorful mushroom house with the sick pig and the gathering of medicinal roots side quest.

Fan of both, (admittedly a bigger Halo fan) but I vote Halo mainly due to the fact people will be playing it for months/years vs a great 1 and done play through of GOW.

With that being said, absolutely nothing wrong with a great 1 and done single player games.

God of War is coming off of one of the best received titles of its generation, and arguably a series high point.

Halo is coming off the universally agreed low point of the series, and one of the mort disastrous AAA reveals in the history of the industry.

I love Halo, but waiting for Infinite is basically waiting for the sounds of a car crash after you hear a sharp tire squeal. GoW is waiting for the next book in your favourite series when the most recent entry is the best thing you’ve read in years.

Voted GOW.

Ragnarok all the way, man. I love me some Halo, but dude, God of War 2018 was one of my favorite games this generation and I'm so fucking hyped for the sequel.

The chances of a singleplayer, $60-70 title being bigger than a massively hyped F2P game are fairly slim. That's not a commentary on the quality of the games but rather the audience reach. As a PC gamer, I'm primarily interested in Halo: Infinite for its singleplayer, and hope the year delay is enough to turn it around.

Lets not forget that Halo Infinite will be the first Halo game on Game Pass day 1. Game Pass right now is probaly at 20 Million and it will be at least 30 Million by next holiday. :messenger_beaming:

There's that too, but I was referring to the MP component being F2P even without Game Pass. GP will boost numbers across the board, but the MP being F2P will be huge. It does seem a little unfair to GoW in that regard because you can't compete with free. Assuming MS has their ducks in a row with the Chinese market and things like that, they could be looking at huge, huge player numbers for the MP if the MP doesn't suck.

I say this as probably the biggest Halo fan here... God of War will absolutely be the better single player campaign.
I don’t have the slightest bit of confidence in 343’s ability to craft a story anywhere near GoW. In 2012 after Halo 4 I would have said that 343 has insane potential and that after a few lessons earned that 343 would eventually deliver a masterpiece... Now after 6 years of 343’s COMPLETE and utter failures (I begin the failures with MCC, Halo 4 was a good first attempt) I am hardly confident that 343 can ship a functional title anymore.

Do you like getting punched in the face or not?

That's probably a harder question to answer than "which direction will this thread and poll go?" is.

godhandiscen

There are millions of whiny 5-year olds on Earth, and I AM THEIR KING.
Probably God of War. I will probably enjoy Halo the most, but by then the PS5 will have over twice the audience of the XSX or more.
