CYBERPUNK 2077 |OT2| The Last Samurai [>56K Warning_]

Also, they have to highlight some choices better. I mean, out of the 3 times I fucked someone in the game, 2 of those were men.
First one was a miss-click and I just found myself pulled away and fucking this junkie on jig-jig street, then at some nightclub I forgot the name of the two and chose "Angel" as that sounded like the girl, and surprise it was a dude.

It’s funny how people want something that was created at a very specific moment in history - end of 80s, beginning of 90s - to be changed completely to today’s sensibilities. People are much more concerned about ‘inclusion’ topics than the fact in Cyberpunk’s world we destroyed the planet and everyone is miserable and just trying to get by.

Agreed. It's also a fictional world. I don't know when but some people seem to have forgotten that key part of entertainment. Now, if CP2077 started out with a white guy dropping n-bombs in the opening scene, roast 'em to hell and back but they didn't.

I do think inclusion is a valid discussion but the way some outlets and people go about it is all wrong. They seem to want to speak for everybody in their group ir they group they co-opted, which seems incredibly arrogant or does more harm than good. You say, "Eh, it's a fetishized ad among many fetishized parts in a fetishized world. It makes sense." and they reply, "Don't tell me how I feel." Which is fair! But, perhaps, don't tell other people in your group how to feel.

Concerning Cyberpunk 2077 specifically, it's just shouting, boycotts and willfully ignoring the positive inclusive parts of the game: Latinos, Haitians, Asians, LBGTQ+ and how CDPR did their homework by getting voice actors who have the same background as their character. Not too many articles or videos about many players happy with creating a character like themselves or very mature m, intimate and well written romances between your V and a gay or lesbian partner. Postitivity doesn't get clicks or likes. Same as it ever was.

then at some nightclub I forgot the name of the two and chose "Angel" as that sounded like the girl, and surprise it was a dude.

It's 2077 baby. Everyone is genderfluid. Were you a powerbottom in your manly conquests?

Did you complete Angel's part of the quest?
You don't bang.

I love the the cars in this game, and the vehicles in general. I've played many racing games with way less attention to detail than found in these machines.

It's been a while that I spent so much time with clothes for my character in an RPG. I don't even care about the stats anymore, as long as whatever I'm wearing looks neat.

0qj44gG.jpg

And occasionally you run into people who are more chrome than I'd personally go for...

KoQzwm5.jpg

I've now played about 80h according to GOG, and there are a few things that are clearly missed potential. The skill trees for example, many perks are not all that interesting. I'm getting x% of extra damage while being in cover, y% extra crit under these circumstances *yawn*
With the Netrunner and Engineering perks you can at least do something new and different (crafting, demons,...) that you can't do otherwise. There could have been much more interesting they could have done for combat other than x% extra damage.
Some stuff doesn't really work as I thought or as it should, like certain cyberware and skills. I've stopped trying to get hidden dragon to work, and gorilla arms don't help at all when breaking open doors, you still need body high enough. Why can't cyberware raise attributes? I figured replacing large parts of my body with metal should have some effect at least.

Quickhacking is good fun, there's quite a number of missions now that I managed to complete without setting foot in the respective building or compound. Why work hard when you can work smart?

Is that the one where you can get health in the grenade slot? It never worked for me either if so.

That's the one. Even though it is installed but not doing what is suppose to-injecting health..mine shoots mini rockets by punching RB.

In hectic fights sometimes I do need that %90 boost but shits glitchie.

Crafting is the way to go. For 6 common crafting components you get 48 rounds. Just bear in mind that you can have only up to 700 rounds of rifle ammo in your inventory. So don't craft more or it's going to waste.

You get common crafting components from disassembling all common items so you should have thousands of them.
It's really cool the game let me keep crafting past the limit, lol. Good thing I read this now before I tried crafting ammo again.

I've noticed that if you are using only a single type of weapon(e.g. sniper rifles), the game intentionally dries up on that type of ammo. It seems to be part of the code as a means to force the player to experiment more. I had that happen to me for a while when I was fond of exclusively sniping out groups of thugs from a distance.

Thanks for helping with the idea I'm not crazy.

Wrapped up Judy's plot line & banged yesterday. I think that's it for the major side stuff. I might hang around for another in-game day or two, since it seems quests can be time locked out.

I've only encountered 1 crash and haven't come across any major bugs. Closest one had be reload a save to get the scripting to work (cyberpsycho, the ritual one). It's a shame the game isn't running as smoothly on consoles, as this game is incredible. It's been one of the most memorable experiences I've had in a game.

Just love Panam.
But Jesus, Judy is awesome as well. Once next gen patch arrives. ill replay with a female to follow Judys path.
You won’t be disappointed ❤️ Haha 🍆 💦
All jokes aside though. The romance scene with her was so well done. Makes you really care for these characters.

It's up there for me with Witcher 3, 13 Sentinels, Nier Automata and Persona 5 as one of the games of the last generation - or perhaps we should see it as the first true classic of this current one, as the end of the day Cyberpunk really is the first major "nextgen" AAA groundsmasher, blockbuster tentpole.

Absolutely fantastic game. I was raised on Blade Runner and William Gibson - my old man is one of those WorldCon 1968 nerds - and man, it feels like this game was made for me.

ever wonder what happens when you shoot too many cops, well in my case after reaching 4 stars they just gave up and left me alone. all stars gone and all bodies where gone as if they never where there...
DQXgbCK.png

sure it was not in city center some more empty place and i was in some corner there so some cops spawned behind me i shot them then more spawned in front of me and more robot cop too , so i shot and blew them all and they just gone. i was not wanted anymore... all happened like in 3 min.

so some of them have blood and others some white android liquid inside

but then why its blood there too and then white stuff on top ?

So, curious for those of you that played Witcher 3 - I realize it is a very different game, but comparisons still happen. W3 is in my top 3, personally.

But, question is, did you like Cyberpunk more, less, or a mix?

Overall, for me, W3 eeks out the win. I think a lot, if not most, of that is due to spending so much time prior to W3 in that world, w/ Geralt & repeat characters from W2 & W1, so the emotional attachments were greater. I know that world, have interacted far more w/ it than the Cyberpunk world.

That said, I found a lot to love in Cyberpunk: I had more fun playing Cyberpunk than W3,, the freedom on approach to encounters & when roaming (esp after getting double jump) was fantastic, & some of the characters, specifically
Jackie and Takemura
stole my heart big fuckin time.

Looking forward to as many Cyberpunk runs as W3 runs, working on my second now :)

Dunno man, like I tend to go to each body and mash square to pick up stuff, but I'm trying to be more picky now and not pick up everything (common 140dps pistols worth picking up?)
Not sure what I can miss, I even pick up those shards (that I honestly don't have the patience to read)
Ammo is usually in ammo boxes, sitting on top of tables, crates, in between furniture, etc. They can be easy to miss if you don't take the time, I'll admit, but if you scour the environment after each fight like I do then you can usually find upwards of half a dozen boxes (depending on size of area searched). I've honestly never bought ammo and I only crafted it once very early in the game. Over fifty hours later and I have yet to run dry. Just bad luck on your end then, I guess. (Also, I compulsively collect those shards, too, and have maybe read five out of the hundred or so I've probably picked up. Lol)

It took me 200 hours to realize but damn you can't actually explore Pacifica. The most interesting part where all these unfinished skyscrapers are located is not available. It's just a backdrop. :messenger_hushed:

Edit: the entire green zone outlined on the map below is out of reach

Ah, too bad. Was looking forward to it.

Welp, I've been waffling for a few weeks now on whether or not I should drop the game and wait for the next gen patch (I'm on ps5 right now). Not necessarily because I'm having technical issues, things have been running well for me. A few visual glitches (gun floating in the air), but no broken quests or any major ones like that.

I have around 20 hours with the game and I have really enjoyed the story and characters, but I'm feeling like I'm reaching the point of no return. If I keep playing through this game I may not want to return to it later when it is in better shape cause of the been there done that factor. Basically I'm enjoying it so much that I feel like I'm just playing a gimped version right now, I like it enough that I want to experience it in full PS5 glory. And by then one would assume all the stupid shit wrong with the game will be corrected.

See you on the other side Cyberpunk people.

I haven't paid too much attention cuz half the time I dunno where I'm at anyway, but Whoa 😲..it's like part of the NC map ain't it. You mean it's out of reach completely not even a cruise around?

For upcoming DLC being aimed at, maybe.

Half of it is Biotechnica glass houses outside of the city and half is actual Pacifica district where all these cool unfinished skyscrapers are located. There's an invisible wall around it, you can get inside without glitching / hacks.

I hear ya, that sucks.

Could it be one those: backdrops art designs where really you not supposed to be there 🤔

Fuck, I never thought this would happen but I’m putting the game on pause. I can’t stand that every car firstly looks like a blob when I turn the camera. I can’t believe telephone poles are literally disappearing in plain sight if I walk back 10 feet away from it. I can’t cruise on the freeway more than a minute because cars randomly stop driving. Not to mention countless issues with low-res texture streaming. And this all on a high end 3080 gaming PC.

I wholeheartedly assume CDPR will smooth out most of the issues and I know my experience will benfit if I wait for the ultimate enhanched definite redux version or whatever they’re going to call it.

Man, I am having a complete 180 on the game while playing the final mission. I went with the
Rogue/Johnny
route and the whole thing is just bad.

I was expecting a run and gun with enemies on par or slightly harder than what I had encountered. Not at all the case. It forces me into stealth because the enemies all 1-shot me (I'm level 30, I think).

Then I got to the
Adam Smasher
boss fight and it's just terrible. I get taken down quickly if he gets anywhere near me. So I run around like crazy for 10 mins, get maybe a few % off his health, repeat, then get destroyed. I've gotten him down to maybe 40%, but he constantly heals, making an infinite loop. What the hell am I missing? I try to exploit his weaknesses but I can't make a reasonable dent on the guy.

I stopped playing at this point because of how bad the experience is. I might load up a different route and try that but I'm at the point where I can put the game down, never come back, and be satisfied. Such a damn shame the game goes this route.

So can you not buy multiple cyberware? I had mantis arms and then bought gorrila and projectile by accident. Figures ok I own all of em just switch between em but i dont see the option. When i go to my cyberwear I dont see thst i can change back to mantis or gorilla arms. Are they gone or do i need to go into backpack or something ?

Projectile is pretty crazy but sometimes i hit em point blank and do nothing while other times i obliterate them. Can they be upgrased to other effects or more power?

Thinking about foregoing hacks for bullet time since i love using the katana.

I am at level 20. Mainly clearing out yellow and blue map icons. Should I finish the story till the point of no return and then finish side missions or leave the story ?

Do you ever go back to the badlands afte the panam missions ?

Seriously i just want MOAR POWAR.

Only Ripperdoc can swap your cyberware. You can only add modifications from your backpack.

You just need a better build, and better guns/swords/fists. That's it. On my complete run with don't fear the reaper ending, where you can't heal at all and you health drops constantly, I killed Smasher in three bursts from legendary Masamune assault rifle. Just like that.

Jesus... Okay. I will need to see what I have in my inventory, but I am pretty sure the rifle I have that does 1k damage is the best I have. Going to take a day off from the game regardless as I don't want to get any more frustrated with it than I already am.

Crazy that I can 1-shot almost all enemies prior to this mission but can barely dent the enemies or boss.

If anyone wants to read some possible DLC hints about a character that connects to a lot of shit throughout the game.

Also if you are like me, and missed some really funny interactions with Takemura by driving with him everywhere - here you go, lol.

Try to level up a bit, two or three levels more, I was 35 on my first playthrough and finished it without problem, maybe level scaling is fucking up.

TL;DR: Love it, but left wanting more.

I've spent about 135 hours in the game so far. Cleared out all of the NCPD/Outpost markers, question markers, package markers, etc etc for every district. On a mid-tier PC getting about 45-60fps depending on the situation with medium/low settings at 1080p (game still looks great to me). I enjoy the stupid random bugs, though the t-posing naked out of the top of the car is kind of losing it's charm.. especially when I'm just a floating head 4 feet above the roof. Getting randomly slingshotted 1km across the map into the river is still hilarious to me.

I love taking photos in Night City.. I will continue to spend time just walking around and getting shots of NPCs looking cool.

Now that's I've done 2 endings with male V, one an incredibly
defeatist path and another quite win-win for everyone involved
, I have a few gripes. At level cap, I had 20 in Technical and 20 in Cool.

1. Crafting system - Wish I could craft multiples at once. Wish I didn't have to hold to craft single items. Disassembling weapons works, but disassembling mods is bugged. They still disassemble, but are still present in the inventory after it occurs, only disappearing after changing menus. (I'm sure others have dealt with this).

I plan to run another game with female V and a different build focusing solely on body/reflex with some minor quickhacking. Primary reason is to see if crafting/upgrading weapons is even worth it... or if it's just an alternate path to get high dps. By end game my primary weapon was a legendary Ashura smart rifle doing 50-150k headshot crits.

2. S E X - Where is it? Cut scenes were very tame/shitty softcore. Prior to launch I got the impression this was going to be much more interactive and much more explicit. So maybe someone will mod in some wild shit post launch, but this feels more late night cable tv rather than late 90s cinemax. Night City only has 2 JoyToys available, rly? I want to experience the 3 mouth lady. : / Also... sex is basically an achievement for selecting the right dialogue options, but with
Panam's storyline, I feel like more sex with her, more moments together on an intimate level would have really made that relationship even deeper
(probably my favorite in-game romance).

3. Useless objects - Can't interact with ANY BDs because my tech is incompatible? Ridiculous. Vinyl records you can't play. Some, objects, such as 'access tokens' - really? I need a physical object for that? not added to my cyberdeck database or something, especially when the tokens don't actually tell you where they were from or what they access, theyre only relevant around the moment one picks them up.

4. No gambling - No pachinko in the pachinko parlor? You kiddng me. Night City should have full interactive parlors/arcades. They could have had a whole side thing with collectibles similar to Yakuza! You tellin me that the
Us Cracks
wouldn't have their own line of gacha toys? Should have full gacha parlors. But eesh, Casinos with roulette tables (often missing the roulette wheel) with no staff. No card games? I came across a handful of people surrounding two guys playing Mancala (no stones, just mime-ing actions with some sound fx) - I want to play too!

I feel like that game of Mancala is a metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 as a whole.

I love the genre of cyberpunk and have always felt the genre lacked any real champions in the gaming space outside of maybe Shadowrun on the SNES. I feel like I'm still 'glamoured' by the game visually - the architecture of the city, steamy red lit alleyways, chinese lanterns and holographic goldfish, luminescent fishnets on chrome legs. It's all very... look, but don't touch. I love the game, just want more.

I will say that I am glad CDPR made the cops so dumb in this game. For realz it would probably make the game way less enjoyable if every time you killed some gang members the cops just started showing up and chasing you.

I don't miss the cops in the game at all. Hopefully they never "fix" this so I don't have to deal with cops chasing after me. There are so many times I just wander around the city and run into 3 or 4 dudes that I kill and loot. Don't need cops getting on my butt over this.

About joytoys - there are actually 4 available. You get the other two waaaaay later in the game when you complete Kerrys quests with Us Cracks. And yes, they do have different sex scenes from the ones on Jig-Jig street.
