Xbox Series X is the best console for FPS/shooters in 2021. 5 exclusives worth getting excited about

Halo will definitely be a big exclusive, but others? Honestly, I never even heard about more than half of them.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Stalker 2 miss the deadline and won't be released in 2021. GSC games always had multiple delays.

I’m sure you’ve heard of Bright Memory Infinite. It will be elsewhere too but I’m blown away by this game, I don’t understand how one single developer can create something that a 300 dev studio can’t match. Might be crap gameplaywise but the visuals are nuts.

I haven't heard about this game until today. Looks good though! That said, out of the other ones, I'm quite interested in playing Stalker 2. Past entries were solid, although very janky. Hopefully this one will improve on that front.

I played the original, it is an ok shooter but is incredibly short (about 15-20 minutes). The graphics are a different topic altogether though, there have been plenty of allegations of plagiarism, refusing to credit outsourced help etc.

I will never understand why guys like you say shit like “this is why I don’t own an Xbox” and then your entire post history showing obviously how much of a PlayStation fan you are is right there for everyone to see? You weren’t going to buy one no matter what games are put out for it.

I find the bathesda comments even funnier. Elder scrolls is great. Skyrim was amazing. Man I love the fallout games.

*MS buys bathesda*

Not gonna miss them anyway. Their franchises have become a bit stale.

*tiny hints that the games might not be exclusive*

Yes!!!! No point in buying an xbox then. I will buy a Ps5 and play these amazing games on there.

He's just jealous as he'll have to buy another QuickTime Walkie talkie with an LGBTQIZ2&7+ story line.

This hobby is filled with plagiarism, sometimes blantantly obvious, sometimes sneaky enough that you barely notice it. There is a dev diary type of video out there where the guy talks about how he created the game, the tools he used etc. I’d say he’s well worth some praise no matter what, it’s an insane achievement to put together something like this even with some help. I’ve tried making games as well, at best on a really sunny day when angels are singing I’d say they’re barely even working and looks like crap 🙃 This on the other hand seems at least decent gameplaywise and is visually above most AAA games. If I was Microsoft I would either open the wallet and help him build a proper game studio or hire him to work on visual effects on Halo Infinite.

Nonsense. So because his post history skews towards PlayStation you assume he wa never going to purchase an Xbox. I will never understand why some people here think this way.
Look at my post history. It shows me favoring Sony yet on 2 occasions late last Xmas I came 1 click close to purchasing an Series S. That also shows in my post history as some here talked me out of getting one. Both shortages of PS5 and Series X had me desperate for A next gen console, any next gen console.

So it's wrong for you to just assume based on post history. Not everyone who has an agenda when they state their reasons for not getting an Xbox.

Personally speaking, that fucking dual sense controller has put its spell onto me. Love modern warfare, but I keep playing Cold War because of the feels.

So, no - Xbox FPS ain’t cutting it for the enlightened!

But you didn’t buy one, did you?
We’ve all been 1 click away from buying something we never planned to buy before. Sometimes we even place an order and cancel later on. I’d say that you can’t even state that you’re unbiased if you buy all platforms because even with all platforms on the shelf you will very likely still have a favorite.
But it’s no biggie, just accept how most of us are and stop thinking much about it, it’s perfectly okay to like one piece of plastic more than the rest, some of us even like one game launcher more than the rest. 🤷‍♂️

By plagiarism I meant asset stealing. I get you, mate, the work he has done is truly spectacular for, allegedly, one person.

You just made me buy cold war on ps5 and not series x, i need to know what all this dual sense magic is all about :messenger_grinning_sweat:

and all of them are on PC, funny how "Xbox exclusive" just means "not on PlayStation" while on the other hand "PlayStation/Switch exclusive" literally means what it says.
I still consider console exclusives to be "exclusives" because it's subjective, really. It doesn't need to be all that complicated.

Edit: I think PC gamers may find this threatening? Not sure about the reaction here.

Not so sure if this is true at all, even for 2021. Most console players who are into shooters are playing on PS4 no? Don't think that will change with PS5/XSX. Also, those games you listed aren't even out yet they might be garbo or mediocre. So XSX being better at a specific type of genre has no basis.
But hey, what do I know, I mostly play FPS games on PC anyways. It never felt right with a pad.
TBF, PS only got the crown from Xbox in 8th gen due to MS dumb marketing mistakes... A Crown that didn't look even remotely far from them until that gen took flight. I'd say it's not impossible for MS to get it back, considering most players are not exactly "loyal" to any brand.

Just think about people getting XSS and friends following due to inhability to get PS5, then discovering XGP. MS have real chances that "gamers" can't see.

Well, they can't be played on other consoles, while "not everyone has a 2k-3k PC to catch up on next-gen" as many here states, so why wouldn't the Xbox Series X be the best option for most (by a wide margin) players?

It's fun that PC is only "widely available" as an "argument" when it comes to Xbox console exclusives but "not everyone has thousands to spend on PC" when games are compared to PS5 versions LMAO.

Stalker and Crossfire X are timed exclusives and probably won't be out until late in the year.

Was going to get Halo on PC but seeing as it looks garbage I'll probably get Crossfire instead.

I am willing to give these games a chance, but they don't sound very interesting. Given the fact that I pretty much disliked all Bethesda's last games: Fallout '76, Doom Eternal, Wolf II and expansions, Rage 2, I am not so sure Xbox has the FPS genre locked down.

EverydayBeast

thinks Halo Infinite is a new graphical benchmark
Sony didn’t have a shooter last gen and still won get your senses in order Xbox fans.

Yeah I get you, but it still isn't an exclusive really. I am glad that exclusive games are slowly fading away, games should be available on as many platforms as possible.

Other than NBA2K and whatever games Rockstar spits out my XSX (X1X before it) is exclusively a cross platform online shooter console.

All my other gaming is saved for the PS4/PS5.

Are the RB/LB shoulder buttons better on Series controller than one v2 ?
I have one controller for pc and the lb/rb suck ass... There is this feeling of binding or double clicking idk.
And will my BIG OLD XBOX ONE CONTROLLER DONGLE work for series ?
Because as I understand - xbox is still the best bet for pc controlleer right? Dualsense support is probably not as good again

None of those are anything to write home about with exception of halo
Really? Halo is the most disappointing looking out of all of them. COD and Battlefield are so much bigger as franchises now, the impact Halo has won't be anywhere near the same as it was at its peak.

Xbox is now the FPS and RPG console.

Did Sony change the trigger shape or material at all except for the trigger resistance things on the new Dualsense? Cause they are still trash if they didn't.

I just bought a Series X (no PS5 yet) and his comment was essentially the reason why I avoided XBox over the last 10 years. There's truth to it.

I don't get it. I just went to TrueAchievments to see what I have played in 2020. I didn't finish all of them, but here is the stuff I enjoyed:

2 JRPG, 8 ARPGs, 6 WRPGs, 6 Soulslike, 7 Open World Games, 4 Metroidvanias, 4 Rogue-likes, 5 Racing games, 9 side-scrollers, 2 Turn Based strategy games, 4 Online Sandbox games, 3 Survival games, 2 Competitive, 11 FPS, 2 TPS, 9 Puzzle Games, 1 Management Sim, 2 Sports games, 5 Racing games, a Space Flight Sim, A Fantasy Flight Sim, 2 Kids games, 7 point and click adventures, 3 survival games, 3 looter shooters and a freaking Tetris game.

The kicker is that I had to buy only very few of them.

I'm always intrigued by these posts. Can you give an example of somebody that actually said this?
