Inspired by classic top-down action games, Glitchpunk lets you brawl, shoot and drive your way through a dystopian future. As an android bounty hunter in a brutal world of gangs, cults and corporations there’s plenty of work for you. Lock and load, let her rip!

But that’s not all: Glitchpunk’s dystopian streets, back alleys and skyscrapers are also stage for themes like transhumanism, xenophobia and religion as well as an all too human story about relationship, self-discovery and betrayal. The sex and drug infused world of the future raises many questions, only one thing seems certain: humanity is a matter of perspective.

The gameplay of Glitchpunk is a feast for all fans of high-octane action, explosive shootouts and cyberpunk aesthetics. It is top-down action inspired by the classics of the genre, wrapped in a futuristic neon cloak. There’s plenty of guns, melee weapons and vehicles for you to choose from and cause havoc with. Experience frantic action and wild police chases while listening to futuristic beats on your stolen car’s radio.

Run, hack, steal, drive, shoot and blast your way through the criminal underworld of the future. Make some friends, make even more enemies. Kill or be killed, even if it means killing everything you love.

Looks great, now if someone can get on that Satellite Reign sequel or remaster/ remake it would be much appreciated.

Watching some livestreams and oooffff the controls/physics are not good...

Points for style for sure, It definitely has that oldschool top down GTA feeling. But if the most basic core element [movement] is not good then this is hard sell even at 15 bucks. Fortunately it's early access so plenty of time for improvements. There's potential for sure.

Have to give mad props for the radio stations though, they even have commercials and talk shows. It's wild.

Slight derail but did anyone reading ever actually BEAT those old top-down GTA games from the PS1 era? I was at my peak then, probably 18-19 years old and those games were straight up hard as FUCK.

I remember never hearing about it at all (news was limited to magazines basically, internet was still early) and going to a friends house who had it and couldn't believe what I was seeing.

yeah i played through gta 2 not that long ago as in i played through every gang mission in all 3 districts. it was hard but doable, some missions are a little trial & error. gta 1 though... nope
